    Had a migraine so couldn’t felt along today - so glad to have this play back, thank you😊! I’ve been giving away the simple felted flowers like on your apron all this spring to cheer people up. These will be perfect little gifts to cheer people up. Hope to start on my fabric tomorrow. The centers look exactly like the poppies I see and I’m so impressed with your innovation.

    These fiber projects have been great for learning how different types of wool felt down. I’ve been using odds and end grab bag leftovers as well as some fine merino and some silk/merino blends. Having all those fibers in different sections on my flat piece shows me how much more quickly one will felt down , while another will never felt as firmly and how they will feel to the touch after. I know better what I’d choose for a vessel rather than a scarf. I’m learning quite a bit, quickly.

I'm determined to watch you live one Wednesday, I just need to work out the time difference as I'm in the UK! I'm loving your videos as they're teaching me so much and being a member of your FB group has been nothing less than inspirational. I don't felt as much as I'd like to due to having painful hands and my projects can end up a little weird looking but I'm getting there. It's especially helpful during these unprecedented times as I live alone and am missing my family so much so thank you for being their! Carol, Birmingham, UK

    Great one, I didn't realize at first that this was like a flower I was trying to make until you showed the pistil and anther, yes I looked this up before posting! lol when I got to the part where I had to put it together, I got stuck, I was trying different ways and I just could not figure it out, so I put it all to the side, hoping one day I can come back to it at a later time. This time came when you did this video! I just pulled out the project and I am going to work on it today/tomorrow. My fave part of the video it is how you wet felted the pistil and attached it to the flower.

    I have a question. When you are laying out your felt and you have layed out the first layer of fiber, is that considered one layer or is a layer when you lay fiber out in one direction and then lay the fiber out in the opposite direction, is that considered a layer? I hope this makes sense. thank you for another wonderful tutorial!

    Does mc1 wet felt quicker than roving wool

    • @LivingFelt
      @LivingFelt  2 года назад

      Hi Geoff thanks for the question. "roving" is a method for processing wool into a usable form, as is "batting". Wool that is roving can be long, medium, short, fine, medium, coarse..... it cannot be determined whether a wool will felt (needle felting or wet felting) "quicker" based on roving vs batting. We suggest you might find this video helpful: ruclips.net/video/5-8hxclHNRU/видео.html

    • @LivingFelt

      Thanks, Kerri. YES, its true, however we intentionally laid our luster fibers to run vertically so that when we cut the petals, that sheen would also run vertically. If this is not part of your design, you can do as you suggest.
