Taylor Russell discusses "Bones and All"

Conversation with actor Taylor Russell following a screening of Bones and All. Moderated by Rajendra Roy, The Celeste Bartos Chief Curator of Film, The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
Maren (Taylor Russell), a teenager who survives by eating human flesh, has spent her life roving from town to town with her father. As soon as she turns eighteen (and bites a girl from school), her father abandons her, leading Maren to finally search for her mother who left when she was a small child. Along her journey, Maren encounters Lee (Timothée Chalamet), who shares her affliction, sparking the flame of first love and first true kinship. Masterful performances by the young leads and supporting cast (Mark Rylance, Michael Stuhlbarg) are captured by Arseni Khachaturan's stunning cinematography, set against the promise and terror of American landscapes. Director Luca Gudagnino crafts a textured balance of the goriness of his Suspiria (2018) and the tenderness of Call Me by Your Name (2017), resulting in a singular tale of love on the margins. Based on the novel by Camille DeAngelis.

I really loved this interview. Being able to hear Taylor express herself freely is such a treat, seeing her personality beam. Her confirming that the cast & Timmy in particular helped her feel safe and at home on set was so warming. I can relate so much to her shyness and needing 3 business days to compile my thoughts haha its a huge relief when ppl just get it and encourage you and give you permission to be you instead of shaming you. Thé interviewer did a wonderful job as well

She's so incredibly thoughtful in all of her answers, no matter how many interviews she does. I personally loved her story about the fish in the river. Things like that don't just happen without some sort of divine intervention.

Taylor Russell is great. I really liked her in Waves, and in Escape Room, and in Dr. Bird's Advice was just lovely.
Bones And All is her best film. She showed the emotions of Maren perfectly..
A girl full of emotions and lonely..
And Taylor Russell is a very pretty, beautiful girl.
I'd like to see her in a Wes Anderson Movie
