Hi, very useful video. I’d like to ask a question: is the cylinder on your example a bit loose ( it doesn’t sit in place firmly when locked ) I’ve heard of that issue form others and I’d like to understand better the situation before actually getting one of these
The cylinder does have some play in it laterally, but not longitudinal, which is also present in the Dan Wesson DW 715. This may be the tolerance of the manufacturer, as the M29 certainly seems like it is made by ASG. Play seems to come from the cylinder spindle/ejector rod, but this doesn’t seem to affect the accuracy and reliability once the cylinder is locked. Various other revolvers do have some play in this area, but my M29 has been very reliable, and accurate for a smooth bore, shooting pellets. At least 500 pellets, and my DW715 double that. My cylinder locks in place, but out the box the cylinder release was very stiff (screw seemed to have been over tightened), so I loosened the screw holding the lever a little and also greased it. If this is stiff to operate the cylinder lock may not be fully engaging. Works perfectly now.
@@reevessairgunningreviews5572 thanks for the fast response! I was worried that the cylinder would be too lose and feel bad in the hand but I’m not so concerned now. Thanks!
@@runerebel8441 Hi mate. Just been shooting the 6.5” M29 using RWS Superfield 8.4 grain pellets with the 4.52mm head. Still shooting very well and no issues. Take care.👍
These type of shells that load from the rear are good for any 4.5mm BB’s and pellets. Obviously some will shoot better than others and the longer RWS Superfield pellet works very well.
Have you tried the pellet version? I purchased it and heard that the rifled barrel is only around half of the barrel length then the rest is 6mm. Do you know if the smoothbore version is full length 4.5mm or if it works the same
Hi this is t2bkk. I do love airgun and now am thinking to buy Umarex S&W M29 6mm BB version. Yet I am still wondering it should be 6.5inc or 8inc. If tyle balance, 6.5inc looks better but power and accuracy 8inc is better or not much difference. If anyone have advice, please let me know. From t2bkk channel in Bangkok Thailand
I would think that there would be very little difference in the 6mm Airsoft versions regarding power or FPS. This is usually down to UK Airsoft rules on maximum energy in skirmishes in the field. In steel 4.5 BB version you will probably get more increase, but not much as the difference of 1.5 inches is not huge. If you prefer the look of the 6.5 inch go for it.
@@wookie.official3343 Yes. They both load from the rear of the shell. the only difference I could make out between the BB and Pellet shell was that I thought the rubber on the pellet shells was a tiny bit firmer.
Waiting for my 8" version to turn up, pellpax are doing great deals on them at the moment, i think its 50% off Smith and Wesson, didn't need it, just wanted one for my collection 😂
Can't understand why people believe in theoretical myth of leading the barrel in, it's nonsense. The best thing to do is to test as many pellet brands and weights as you can afford to try and find the best suited pellet for the barrel. I have tested as many as 100 different brands and weights of pellets and you can see a significant different where some pellets will relentlessly have wide spread groups and other will have consistent tighter groups. No leading of the barrel needed.
@@MrHITACHI75 Absolutely correct. It’s pretty pointless as RUclips is Global, it depends on the country you live in too. Google, shop around in you local environment. amazing to hit the target at that distance with BB guns like you do
really like your videos 👍 especially the s w mod 29 video

darn good shooting at 15 meters in cold that reduces co2 power

I was curious whether it would take standard pellets. Tried anything else in it like lead BB's and dust devils?

Run the double action also I'm a big fan of that.
Nice review, how would you rate it against the DW715?
Will test against each soon, but the M29 smooth bore with pellets should be way more accurate,

Smooth bore is always full length 4.5mm which is why I bought it. After shooting the pellet version of the ASG Schofield, it was the way to go.

121/2 metres is a tidy distance for a Co2 pistol.

BB guns are inherently inaccurate. I think the 6mm version is better.
Videos would be more helpful if u would have the decency to provide where viewers can purchase the pellet guns
