Many of the songs with Bon Scott as lead vocals are phenomenal. For example: Highway to Hell, I Want Your Blood, It's a Long Way to the Top, High Voltage, etc. There are a bunch of them ;)
This version that Bon died from an overdose of Heroin does not fit me at all. That kind of explosion from singers doesn't fit in any way with a heroin user, which, after all, is valid for those who want to fall asleep, without any energy, totally relaxed, one would say numb. If the cause of his death was stated here as an overdose of cocaine, speed or some other substance that elevates to infinity, I would accept it. I can't do it like this. It doesn't fit me at all.

If there's anything his fellow partiers should have known, it's not to leave anyone in that state without supervision to make sure they stay breathing and don't choke on anything that may come back up. So sad. One of the saddest deaths ever. 😞

Just from listening to the AC/DC 'Back In Black' Album, I would guess that most of these songs contain clever lines / witty phrases which have been taken directly from Bon Scott's lyrics notebook.
I live in northeast Florida, ACDC was the hottest band of the time, the radio station played all the songs, even the ones not released as singles. This was during the Bon Era, many years later I discovered they weren't that popular elsewhere, that was a huge surprise.
Bon Scott was always the "real" AC/DC. You can tell by the lyrics in Back in Black that those are from Bon. To me, the Bon era was the best era of AC/DC.
If people would actually LISTEN to the lyrics in the 'Back in Black' album it sounds like a continuation or a part 2 of the 'Highway to Hell' album...it sounds so much alike that it's almost undeniable.
they said he chocked in the night from the position he was sleeping in. but it's strange, because sleeping in a car in feb in that cold, he could of died from hypothermia...eathier way both would be contributing factors to his death imo.
AC/DC was never considered heavy metal, and Angus and Malcolm Young stopped anybody who tried to call the band heavy-metal. They say “we are a rock ‘n’ roll band.”

Considering there was three months between Bon Scott's death and the release of the Back In Black album, it's certainly possible that Bon wrote some of the lyrics. What is known is that Bon indirectly named his replacement in ACDC. Shortly before his death, Bon Scott saw the band Geordie (fronted by Brian Johnson) in concert. You lost me when you mentioned Cliff Williams as one of the founding members.. He wasn't a founding member. Mark Evans was their Bass guitar player. Williams didn't join the band until after Let There Be Rock.
Just in my small rural town, I have not only heard of several cases of alcohol poisoning, I have heard of numerous close calls. It has been reported that while passed out, Bon Scott vomited (a normal occurrence for severe intoxication), aspirated his vomit and choked to death. This is a typical manner of death in alcohol related deaths and would have not been out of the question for a person passed out while sitting upright in the back of a car. Although it would be no more of a tragedy for him to have died from one form of intoxication than another. I think people need to let him rest in peace and accept the official account of his passing. Nothing will ever soften the blow that was the tragedy when he died. Whether famous or an ordinary individual, he passed away needlessly at far too young an age, while partaking of a product (any, either, or), that millions partake in, thinking it's a good time. Like many that went before (Jimmy Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, etc.), and many since (Michael Jackson, Whitney Huston, and others), the lifestyle of using mind altering substances has robbed families, fans, and colleagues of talented people who died far too soon!
"Death by misadventure" means Bon did something he didn't normally do. Somehow it came to be that he consumed heroine or too much heroine while being already drunk, a deadly combination. Either his inexperience as a hard core heroine user led to his death, or he wasn't aware he was taking heroine that night. At any rate, heroine killed him.
@@jamesneighbour5565 It does not has to be below Zero (freezing) to go in state of Hypothermia, especially not when Intoxicated. In excample: When people fall into Cold water, they CAN die from Hypothermia, while the water is not below Zero. . . Otherwise it would be Ice. Get my point???
Of course it was heroin AND alcahol, probable some who knows... ButHeroin definitely my "guess". look it does not make himm shameful, MOST of these kinda of rockstar deaths are opioids... The list will be to long. It grabs ya, it doesn't let go !! AWSOME AWSOME Frontman, artist & Human being!!! Love him! Rest Easy my Brother!!
Bon may not have been a habitual heroin user, but his death was a clear case of heroin OD. Non of the details match up regarding his final 2 days according to the official report and he did hang out, occasionally, with heroin users and dealers. Cause of the touring and other mishaps he didnt see heroin users on a daily basis and surely did not use that frequently either, but that all makes it all so much more clear. Bon simply spent a night with heroin users and, either by himself or assisted, received too much heroin in his system. This is what caused him to nod out and then not wake up. As Alistair Kinnear reported to the police it "looked as if he was sleeping" until Kinnear touched him and felt he was cold as ice. Yet, Bon in the coroners report was told to have died form alcohol poisoning. I will tell you: Bon would not die from booze, unless it was during delirium tremens, which he by no reports ever had experienced and not during his final days either. Going to sleep, aka passing out, and then stopping to breath is a heroin overdose. Plain and simple. Bon after months of being very stressed and pushed to his limits sough to ease the pain and not only with booze but with heroin, and Silver Smith and Alistair Kinnear were the people to find it for him. Bon had no reason to want to die at that time, he had a Japanese girl friend and even though he feared the touring of the coming album he would not leave his friens and family behind. He didnt want to die, he wanted to live happy with love. Truly sad story. RIP, Bon
Bon Scott is alive and well he is Colin Hay of "Men at Work" he just had to hangup his image with ACDC he hated the demands of being on the road from one town to another town from one Country to another Country! He wanted to make music on his own time and perform on his own terms. Most importantly he wanted to be about his family.
Did bon write lyrics? Maybe. But one thing i don't understand is why was none of the othe albums songs sound the same or why did the other album's not reach the popularity BiB got. Did Argentina not get the other ones
DID ANYONE CONSIDER THE TEMPERATURE??....I MEAN I PICTURE BON DRUNK AS HELL WITH NO SHIRT ON IN A COLD CAR ON A FREEZING LONDON WINTER ... THAT WOULD BE HARD FOR A SOBOR PERSON TO JUST TRY N STAY IN THERE EVEN WITH A BLANKET.... Car was probably only 40 degrees inside
After reading the last highway I find it very plausible that he OD’d on smack and they left him for dead in the car. What “ friend” would leave their pal in the back seat of a car in 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
He dropped his friend off who was also ripped and stayed out in the car. He passed out and it was winter. he froze to death while being passed out with Alcohol poisoning.
To the two previous comments, correct. They are not heavy-metal. And Mark Evans was the original bassist. Bon definitely had heroin in his system. He was hanging out with the boys from UFO who were anonymous for shooting.
Maybe 6 lines and 2-3 soung titles... that's all from Bon that was there and ended up on the album. He didn't write whole songs before the recording sessions. He wrote the big chunk DURING the sessions. Does there have be such a big fuss about it? No... The band did enough to honor Bon, by even including the whole thing into the Bonfire boxset.
Hey where did you talk to "Holly X"? Oh that's right, you didn't because that's not her real name. You just took the info from author Jesse Fink's book "Bon: The Last Highway" and didn't credit him for it.
You certainly do not have to be a junkie to die from heroin overdose. Heroin combined with alcohol is much easier to overdose . I know 2 ppl who snorted dope while drunk and overdosed . Neither were junkies .
@@mrbill9248I read that alcohol and opiates when combined make each other 4-6x stronger. 4 drinks becomes 16 one hit of an opiate becomes 4. Not hard to figure out it doesn’t take much to kill you.
You are factually incorrect. Cliff Williams was not a founding member and they didn't "settle" on Brian Johnson, he came highly recommend by Bon Scott himself...
There is no record of Bon recommending anyone. That’s another urban myth probably perpetrated by the brothers young. But you are correct on everything else
Hot shot justification - that makes sense, the man had way to much direction; back in black had a darker underbelly evidently and got cleaned up? #1 front man period
Conspiracy theory: Bon Scott dies on February 19, 1980 8 weeks to the day. April 19, 1980 Brian Johnson joins AC⚡️DC They say it took seven weeks to record Back in Black The album was recorded over seven weeks in the Bahamas from April to May 1980 with producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who had also produced Highway to Hell. They days don’t add up. I believe they were tired of Bon and his addiction. Once found in the car passed out, the instruments to consume heroin were removed in hopes that he wouldn’t wake up. *I know it’s a stretch* Why would they leave him in the car? The songs were wrote and music learn in that short time? 🐂 💩 Sure okay, if you believe that please give me your PIN number so I can protect your money.

There's a recording with Bon singing songs out there. I've heard it. It's a shitty recording but it's still a recording. It sounds like a practice jam. And anyone can tell that after B in B the lyrics were different. Personally I think it sucked. Bon sang about partying and getting laid. Brian and the brothers Young didn't write about those two subjects. The evidence is on the albums. Only an idiot would think that Bon didn't write on Back in Black because it's full of partying and sex and AC-DC never wrote about it again

Hypothermia killed Him when passed out in the Car. . . Februari winters in UK are Cold . . .
Cliff Williams was NOT the original bass player for AC/DC. And the band wasn't an "underground sensation" Prior to the release of back in black.
I love Bons scream
Us too! Which song is the most memorable for you?
Brian Johnson wrote the lyrics for back in black (he talks about it in his book ,the lives of Brian 😂)
Brian Johnson and Malcolm Young have repeatedly said Scott did not contribute to Back in Black.
Definite heroin overdose, imo. Also his lyrics did appear on BIB.
Hypothermia . . . Sleeping in a Car passed out in a Februar winter in UK CAN Kill You
@@Hanzey1966weather records from that night would rule out hypothermia, not cold enough.
If/when He died/ overdosed on Heroïne it would have been mentioned as opioïde intoxication in the Coroner report
The only song i heard he was rumored to have worked on was Givin The Dog A Bone.
He was a Live Wire that did the Bad Boy Boogie and wound up Back in Black

AC/DC is the goat🐐
"It is sometimes easier to have furniture made than to find things..."
Bj has a voice like Daffy duck, first time I heard him I really thought our local radio station was doing another skit
A couple years ago my son sent me a side by side picture of BJ and Elmo from Sesame St. captioned 'you'll never unhear it' lol Spot on.
This tho 🤣😅
I think he did contribute lyrics before his death. I think heroin was involved. Something is not ...
Hey where did you talk to "Holly X"? Oh that's right, you didn't because that's not her real name. You just took the info from author Jesse Fink's book "Bon: The Last Highway" and didn't credit him for it.
Did it say how he died? Or did I miss that
He wasn't a junkie. Just because All other American & brittish celebrities died as junkies. Bon wasn't one.
In every interview I've seen of him, he was totally out of his tree!
Bon was Scottish never British
@@saorsa5 I know
You are factually incorrect. Cliff Williams was not a founding member and they didn't "settle" on Brian Johnson, he came highly recommend by Bon Scott himself...
There is no record of Bon recommending anyone. That’s another urban myth probably perpetrated by the brothers young. But you are correct on everything else
Yep
there was more but I can't say right now
Anybody else find it slightly in bad taste that the sponsor is a cocktail maker for a story about a guy who died from alcohol poisoning?
no booze no drug no nothing stay away
Hot shot justification - that makes sense, the man had way to much direction; back in black had a darker underbelly evidently and got cleaned up? #1 front man period
phil rudd and cliff Williams weren't in band with dave evans phil joined band after bon cliff joined after mark evans on powerage
I heard a demo of bon singing back in black
That's not a demo, if it's what I think it is, it Jessy james Dupree singing back in black
bon forever
Yes did some words Back in Black
"I do think a carpenter needs a good hammer to bang in the nail..."
His cause of death was asphyxiation. Allegedly, he vomited, but that is questionable. Angus revealed this during an interview in the 90's.
Conspiracy theory:
Bon Scott dies on February 19, 1980
8 weeks to the day.
April 19, 1980 Brian Johnson joins AC⚡️DC
They say it took seven weeks to record Back in Black
The album was recorded over seven weeks in the Bahamas from April to May 1980 with producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who had also produced Highway to Hell.
They days don’t add up.
I believe they were tired of Bon and his addiction. Once found in the car passed out, the instruments to consume heroin were removed in hopes that he wouldn’t wake up.
*I know it’s a stretch*
Why would they leave him in the car?
The songs were wrote and music learn in that short time?
🐂 💩
Sure okay, if you believe that please give me your PIN number so I can protect your money.
Shame ex girlfriends can not provide evidence of the letters that include the lyrics used on back in black.
Wow... for someone called FACTverse they certainly can't get the facts right... firstly bon was there second vocalist, cliff Williams was there 3rd bassist, phil rudd was there 2nd drummer and there's multiple interviews with brian johnson about writing back in black 🙄
That sponsorship tho😕
if the guy died from over indulgence in ingesting marinated monkey piss. what about it. dabbling in heavier drugs doesn't make him a lesser person. great vocalist and lyricist.
Where did you do your research? So many errors.
he did
With out a doubt back in black is bon Scott just listen to the lyrics those are bons story's shook me all night long thats a night he spent with some bad ass chick
I highly doubt all these singers died by their own hand
Thanks for watching! We're glad to know that you love our video. What other types of video would you like to see on Facts Verse?
Please don't call acdc heavy metal they all ways said they were hard rock
Bon Scott music will live on he might not given credit for back in black but you still him on the album
Malcom only has a health problem that's good thought he was dead.
I think it was a crime of passion, and the killer is S....r
The brothers didn't want to pay Bons estate any money because they are thieves. The only AC/DC music that was any good was the Bon Scott Era. I mean JESUS CHRIST, Ya cant even understand what that that Johnson is singing (actually grunting and screaming I his talentless way). I stopped listening to this band many years ago.
Thanks for watching! We're glad to know that you love our video. What other types of video would you like to see on Facts Verse?
Alcohol is bad news in excess - has killed so many
I'm sure drugs were involved too even if he only just tried some. He also wore a pentagram necklace too.
I was killed because they considerate him a danger
