- The weather forecast is calling for lots of rain over the next two days so I decided now’s the time to harvest some cherimoyas to prevent the fruit from cracking and splitting. I’ll also weigh the fruit and include some fun atemoya footage at the end.

Nice contrast in textures! Some are like "scale-mail," some perfectly flat.
Sweet collection
Damn trees looking great man! You should sell seed online👍
Wonder if you can share scions from your Cumbe Cherimoya . I only have a small yard and seeing how dense your yard is, I should be able to graft more varieties .
When the time is right reach out again the best time to harvest scions would be late winter or early spring. Follow or send me a message on Instagram to remind me 👍🏽
Wow they’re huge fruits. How old is your tree? What’s the key to get big fruits?
Thanks! Over 15 years now. I would say key factors include building good soil (amend and use of fertilizers), steady pruning, consistent watering schedule appropriate for the season, and definitely taking care of the weeds before they become a big issue.
so happy that you can grow anoans in pots and have fruit bought my first cherimoya and bought a 30 gallons grow bag and im going to buy anoan reticulata seeds atemoya and squemosa and another one all in 30 gallons pots
what do you is 30 gallons enought or i increase to 40 gallons
Keep at 30 gallon until you see roots coming out from bottom of the pot then that’s your sign it’s ready to planted up to the 40 gallon pot!
@@RyanScion I will not repot lol
Can I cut those roots to keep. Like that?!
@@RyanScion by the way I ve seen that my cherimoya hs small roots
Not like other trees small and not so agressive
How many times should trim the branches off.
If 2 times one will be in Winter right?
Can Cherimoya flowers after trimming in Winter?
Thank for great vedios.
Yes correct I prune once before spring starts or right before the buds break out. Then I prune again in the summer for shape and to cut out branches that cross or rub. Or fruit that are too shaded. Stuff like that 👍🏽
@@RyanScion Now is the 2 month of Autumn in my areas.
Already prune them last month. I have fews flowers coming up. 🙏🙏🙏
Winter season here will be June-August. So, I should prune again around the beginning of August. Right?
Time to let your trees rest and ready up for next spring! 😁
My friend, I want some branches and seeds from this fruit. Thank you.
HI brother ,Do you have an absolute favorite Atemoya(No Cherimoya) ,I found them not as sweet as a really good sugar apple, thanks in advance.
Thanks for the comment - I do not have an absolute favorite but I can easily recommend ‘Dream’ it is excellent tasting similar to cherimoya flavor, vigorous grower, and I have high strike rates with grafting. Hope this helps 👍🏽
THANKS !@@RyanScion
Any plans that want to live, I am in no means to pull it.
