I love this channel as it explains things that fit the science but in this video I very skeptical.
A flywheel is used in this machine for storing kinetic energy, which can be used instead of a battery, there are similar kinetic energy storage devices which are used in power plants. Bu it does not generate energy, it just uses stored kinetic energy in the wheel, wheel is slowing down even we don't notice in this timeframe. Therefore this machine cannot be more than just a huge spinner.

It is using the stored kinetic energy (torque in the magent) to rotate the unit, that also assists in creating power in the generator causing it to help the motor run, but this will not run for long and eventually the kinetic energy will deplete and it will stop running.

What's with all of the hate??? This device doesn't break the "2nd Law of Thermodynamics," and there isn't any trickery going on. The generator is on a larger pulley that powers the motor. The motor spins the pulley which powers the generator. Through friction from the spinning action and the lighting of the bulb, heat energy escapes. Which means it will eventually slow down and stop... I really thought it was a brilliant little contraption. Thank you for the video.
And after reading the title of "Free Energy......," I agree that it is a bit misleading. Plenty of larger channels use click bait. There's really no reason to shit on the invention. And hey, It got you to watch it.

It violates the first law of thermodynamics. The flywheel would eventually lose its momentum and stop. In this case the system does not even use ball bearings. There is no way it could sustain itself as long as it did without a power supply. The system is losing way more energy than stored in the flywheel.
May I ask why you think it violates the first law. In a time before quantum theory, before 1918, people believed in infinite energy available every where, all the had to do was have something to convert it from the aether.
The first law of thermodynamics states that in a closed system no energy can be created nor destroyed. It can only be transformed. So kinetic can transform to potential or heat ect. So the energy in must equal the energy out plus the energy stored. Here you have the intial start with the battery as your energy in. The energy out is the heat from the friction, the light, and one of the motors. You also have other small losses such as drag of the moving parts spinning in the air and the inefficiencies of the motors. Once the battery is removed you only have the amount of energy stored in the flywheel. This energy turns the other motor, which acts as a generator, powering the motor which is spinning the flywheel. So the flywheel will continuously lose speed and eventually stop. The larger the flywheel and less friction you have the longer the system would run before needing to be recharged. In this guys build the friction and flimsy design with the small flywheel would stop extremely quickly. I would think almost instantly.
But this is not a closed system. He has magnets and electromagnetics involved in this system. What converts Aether to electricity, The generator/alternator, This is not a closed system the motors are acting as moters and generators at the same time, bigy backing each other. But if you are only seeing the world through quantum mecanics then you wont see this. You have to go back to the way Tesla saw it with aetheric energy. Afterall he did invent these motors.

Input equals output. Output includes friction loss, heat loss and flywheel load. Therefore the generated energy cannot run the motor generator perpetually unless again aided by hand cranking the flywheel and when the momentum is lost, the motor stops.
You forgot about magic if you use a little magic in the flywheel it spinns

That is not free energy. the concept is called Flywheel energy storage. You can google it. For those of you that don't want to google it i will explain . IS a battery that store the energy mechanically. In this particular example he use a big magnet for his weight ( it does not contribute anything else in the contraption than his weight). Then he use a normal battery to "store" energy in the magnet (don't shoot me ) more exactly it use the first motor to rotate the contraptions and by that he add inertia to the system. second generator will transform the kinetic energy ( rotation of the wheel) to generate some electric power that will power the first motor and the bulb. Of course because of the friction the entire contraption will stop after few minutes. IS nothing magic and for sure is not free. you used energy from the battery to power the contraption.
BTW , flywheel energy storage or FES are used in many parts and they can replace or work together with chemical batteries. But they still lose a lot of power over time and are not that efficient. But people work hard to make them more efficient.
Another magic. Electric line embedded under that wood. Why use wood as foundation for heavy motors like that. Is that safety? Oh!! Come on !!

all those that say it works do not understand the basic electric principles. on papers this works coz its just wires and pullies but in reality a generator is very inefficient at converting mechanical energy into electricity and also an electric motor has the same flaw in converting electricity to mechanical energy. another problem is that when you spin a generator rotor when its not loaded ie when its wires are not connected to a load eg light bulb, the rotor will be very light and easy to turn until you add a load. thats the reason why gasoline generators revv when you switch on the mains output to a load, the engine will be trying to overcome the resistance to turn from the generator rotor and if you add more loads to the generator ie more appliances the rotor will become so hard to turn that the engine will stall. now from what i have explained you should understand that the bearings and generator are a load to the motor which makes it demand more current for it to run and the high demand is presented to the generator which in turn makes the generator rotor hard to turn which in turn makes the generator demand a higher mechanical force from the motor to turn it and produce enough current to supply the same motor and in the end they stall due to lack of high current from the generator and high torque from the motor.
