Your really getting into the track day scene. I just did my second track day myself after 12 year. Crashed on my first track day. I was young and pushing it to hard. This time I took it slower and enjoyed the whole day. Can’t wait till my next one.
Thanks for the overview Chops! I'd love to add this to my bike but with it being on PCP I don't like the idea of using scotch locks or doing any splicing of the bikes wiring! A proper plug in solution would be very welcome and that does appear to be the aim eventually. On a nerdy note I have found that the text files exported by the app are not proper CSV files; the values are separated by semi-colons and not commas... I've done a "find and replace" to swap these around - and also swapped square brackets for normal brackets - and I'm getting some luck reading the data into my telemetry program (Telemetry Overlay) but it's not plain sailing! I'll be dropping the Healtech guys a note with my findings so far 😊
Fascinating that we can get stuff that only a works team would have had a few years back. Had mixed results with those crimp type connectors personally, might be worth getting a good auto electrician to do them properly. Great vid as always.
Great workshop video again Chops. It doesn't seem that long ago that a means of recording lap times was some guy standing beside the track with a stop watch !🤣 How times of changed and technology has advanced.....blows my mind.
Race render 3 for pc is what I use. You can import all sorts of data and overlay it onto video. Been using it for years, it’s cheap but very good. Nice vid choppsy
A fantastic tool for the amateur club racer. Looking forward to the full track day vlog, Chopsy. Love the full analogue GSX-R bikes of yesteryear!!! ❤❤
Nice vid Chops. Will be interesting to see the subsequent data you get & also what numbers the link pipe & power commander do once fitted. Looking forward to the next one.
great video Chopsy very interesting i thought the same then you said it not the best way to connect wires only cause problems later soldering is better i am sure you will sort it later as you like to do things proper 👍
Just home from doing Donington on evening session did 1.51 with optimum 1.50 but brake upgrades needed and rear sets i think and body position ground out toe before getting knee down.
Was looking at one of these units but use race chromo at minute but only one hz using phone so need to look Into something like this but would want to overlay the data sure u cant use something like circuit tools by Vbox to do it?
completely of topic, but picked up my Ducati rear wheel from Adam at A1 powder coatings today, the biggest complaint i can give is it looks factory finished like the day i picked it up beyond happy 😃 thanks for the recommendation
Don't have to do anything Bryan, if it's a track which is loaded it knows the start finish line position. If its a new track it just chooses a location for the start finish line.
Please could you do a review of all the Knox gear that you wear. I know you’re sponsored by them, but you seem to think that it’s good gear. Please could you enlighten us as to why. Many thanks from a very grateful subscriber.
I thought you were joking at first about it all being installed after showing just one connection. Would of liked to see a little more on installing the system but never mind.
We have some illustrated install guides on our website, please check them out: healtech-electronics.com/products/ile Please find the Supplementary manuals section and you will find them there. Thanks!
Off topic of the data logger, but are your Dainese leathers off the peg or custom? I seem to remember from previous videos that you’re on the taller side and carry a bit more load (tried to word that politely lol) which is a bit like myself. At 6’ 5” and around 18 stone, I’m struggling to find leathers that fit as I’m not the typical dimensions, but as yet I haven’t tried Dainese. Wondering if they could be the solution 🤷🏻♂️ Failing that, it’s going to be made to measure I think.
These are actually off the peg, the air suit has more stretch panels so get a bit of extra space! It's the biggest size Dainese do, I think 64... but don't quote me on that 👍
I like the new cap, been on a Pirelli track day?😀I won't put anything like that on my bike, I don't want to know how bad I am, in my world i'm the fastest over 50 rider :)
Not needing a datalogger myself but interesting video all the same. Really wanted to find out how the quick shifter performed like you said you'd report on from your previous fitting video. Did it work as expected or did you have to do some tweaking? Probably more relevant for those contemplating a quick shifter on an older bike like you who never had a factory fitted option.
Scotch locks are terrible, allow water to ingress the inner copper core and corrode the loam, will give all sorts of problems over time. I would go round and cut, solder and heat shrink with the glue type heat shrink to seal the splices and loam again once you are happy and everything is working… well worth the time.
Quality bit of kit.
As a mechanic I’m a massive fan of the home enthusiast and bodge locks, they just bring me so much electrical repair work.
Haha 😆 👍

100% fit the link pipe Chops, I have on mine with the PC5, sound is perfect, not too loud and flat spot improved a lot

Great info Rikky regarding the files 👍
That’s a smart bit of kit 👌🏻🏍💨💨

Great price for so much info. Great informative vid.
Thanks for the lovely video! Quality as always! BTW The link pipe will sort the throttle and power delivery issues with the XTRE. ;)
Thanks 😁👍

Yes exactly who it's aimed at I think 👍
Looks like a great bit of kit that chopsie
Great vid
All the best Mr chops 👍
Nice Chops that bike is looking good
Wow Chops you smashed that vid. Almost looks like you know what your doing 😂
Yes very nearly! 😄👍
Nice vid Chops. Will be interesting to see the subsequent data you get & also what numbers the link pipe & power commander do once fitted. Looking forward to the next one.
Great video thanks.. Not for me but I’m sure people who do a lot of track days will appreciate this bit of kit .
Awesome! Would love one on my NC30 with VFR750 engine project bike

Yes I will solder them as not a massive fan of the crimp 👍

Thats pretty good going Mark a 151 I would say 👍 I don't know vbox so possibly it could work.. Will give it a try 👍
Hello handsome 💗💕 good morning 🌄🌄🌅
Thank you so much for great presentation this nice
Greatting from Macau China

Brilliant news Sean! He's good isn't he!!
You could Try the power commander first and see if that’s enough of boost in the low end before going full noisy
Nice one LCR you have nearly finished playing with the GSXR! So when are you selling it? Keep up the good work! 👍
Haha never! 🤔
Good video again Lamb Chop
So what do you do on track, set GOS location of start/fannish line for lap counting?
Don't have to do anything Bryan, if it's a track which is loaded it knows the start finish line position. If its a new track it just chooses a location for the start finish line.
On an unknown track, you have to add the start/finish line by pointing it on the map in the map view.

I didn't show the rest as its exactly the same process and I showed the instructions so not much else to show really 👍

@@LambChopRides but all fits ok? My main problem is that my top half doesn’t match my bottom half. Big shoulders/chest/waist but legs like a sparrow 🤣
I like the new cap, been on a Pirelli track day?😀I won't put anything like that on my bike, I don't want to know how bad I am, in my world i'm the fastest over 50 rider :)
Haha yes Pirelli track day last week 😄 👍

I will give an update Steve but can tell you super super impressed! Not changed a thing worked 100% out of the box 💥
I reckon Suzuki will be back in MotoGP before the hypermotard rebuild is done.

Spot on scotch locks are rubbish even with so call gel in them big ugly things
That's a lot of splices. That hopefully won't fail over time.
I don't need a dlogger to tell me I'm slow! 🤣
