There is nothing in common with this American production rifle and any Cugir import rifle.
Rob, you were right! I remember you said that we need to address the garbage AK’s like the RAS47 and now the AK community has changed so much. The AR15 community got together and made the ar15 community so affordable and better than ever. It is happening to the AK now.
CENTURY selecting rob ski as an "influencer"??? Lol, someone is getting fired... #SGL31LIFE
Yeah...fired from PSA. If I was Century I'd have Rob as a consultant and have him sign a non compete
There is an AK community?
Gun geeks
@@errldabbins Rob isn't going to be able to push century's crap for a check, he has some old school integrity.
@@danrayha3756 everyone's got a price....but yeah, that isn't going to happen. lol
@@danrayha3756 Wasn't implying he would sell their stuff but work to improve it. He already does both not indirectly through his work on social media
Really hope thise 74 goes well for century! The AK market is getting very competitive and they've been slipping recently
Patriot Rick recently ? more like years lol
@@TheInfekt well yeah for years now, but I feel like recently more than every their rifles have been flopping
10 years of shit QC. I hope they either get their ass kicked by PSA, or wake up and fix their shit.
@Jim Beam the AK market is flourishing right now, you see all the new AKs coming onto the market? It might not be as high speed low drag as an ar15 but it can hold it's own. Nothing wrong with liking and owning an AK.
@Jim Beam bud, I dont own a us made AK, and I do in fact have a Saiga. Nothing wrong with liking AKs kid grow up. The whole world doesnt have to agree with your opinion.
"Well, you seen how bad we fucked up the 47 and now to ruin your day again we made a 74"
Will it come with pre bent sights or do I need to do it myself? Great that it has a bayonet. You can use that when the gun fails. Soiry but they have screwed up so many times on so many firearms before
@@BoogalooBoy I am laughing so hard trying to picture the democrat version of bubba fudd with a tapco SKS...... I bet it is pink, with a pride flag hanging on the cleaning rod.
In my opinion, this video has hit the PERFECT volume for the glass breaking noise, Rob.
I absolutely loved watching you militantly put every rifle you saw on safety. Nice work.
You’d think century would have a hit out on Rob instead of picking him for an influencer.
Being century I am skeptical, but maybe they are learning. I do like the rpk trunnion and receiver
Rob, please don't sleep on the Zastava booth. Looking forward to a full review on the Zastava guns!
PSA will have one out later this year and a 5.56 probably cheaper too
Yet to be seen
@@winkleried they have it out now if u can get one in stock
@@PatrickMoto97 Now they do. When I posted my above comment it was just another one of PSAs well documented vaporware offerings.......I have had my Bulgy parts kit for about 8 years now, so I am good.
Century Arms burned me twice. Never again...
Yeah, they have an uphill battle to make up for their failures.
I came here for the imports not the in house stuff
Rob thanks for this and all the videos so far. Love the challenging questions. Forging through the BS.
Maybe this a turning point and Century Arms will finally get their shit together. 🤞
The last time century made a 74 it consistently exploded
Forged bolt & BCG, I hope we can get forged replacement parts for us who bought the Century AK's a few years ago?
Nah.. you're just gonna have to live with that unfortunate purchase unfortunately
Learn not to buy Century shit and go with the cheaper PSA, which has better customer service, and better quality.
Really great interview Rob. Good job at pressing him on the questions.
My new Century Arms AK (1k ammo through it) caused several Head Case Separations two weeks ago and now has half a cartridge stuck in it. We have left VMs with Century and zero call backs. I guess the entire staff is at the show.
I really want a PSA AK soon, but my supposedly crappy Century RAS47 is still shooting great 3000 rounds plus later. I am sure many people sucked, maybe I just got lucky I dunno, but this 74 looks badass, cant wait yo see the test Robski
They got my attention with the forged parts
You can see the tension between these two guys 😂.
I cannot.
Alright Century arms i officially volunteer to be one of your 4 testers. Others are hating on you for past poorly made US AKs but im willing to give you guys a shot at scratching my 5.45 itch
"We'll leave it at this"
AWESOME! I've not been enthusiastic about these American made Ak/AKM platforms. BUT I will probably buy one of these and a side folder when they make them. This is just great !
Nice to hear another American made 74. So glad Rob will be an advisor. If they follow Rob it should be a great gun. Very excited.
I'm going with PSA
This is such an amazing time for us gun owners!
bayonet lug FTW
As the imports are drying up. I truly hope Century Arms can make a true commitment to make an actual AK, instead a pile of garbage that weights 8 lbs.
Honestly, please surprise us..
WOW - they are actually listening to their market. Count me in if it passes the 5K round test. My heart is with them, but my money is on PSA.
Just go with PSA man they have lifetime warranty
@@rememberussliberty1822 Very Good Point!
Thanks Rob for the great job you do and not being a shrill for the industry and really putting their products to the test.
Adam , I will give Century Arms a second chance. No doubt !! I will be waiting .
My vska jammed every magazine i took it back and I am going to buy a WASR. Hopefully it works out for me. For the record my c39 v2's never gave me any issues.
Rob, I hope you have a good line on ammo because 5k round tests for everything new from PSA, KUSA, Century and Arsenal is going to keep you shooting into 2030. Supply of ammo may dry up as just a side effect of all the testing.
Only time and testing will tell , I told myself I would never trust Century ever again , but we flogged a c308 pretty good and still going strong throughout our testing so far.
They definately have a uphill battle after the VSKA and Ras 47 releases.
I have a Romanian Ratmil Mk II AK 74 I really like. Came with a PSL stock and I had an an adaptor spot welded onto the barrel to take the AK74 brake,
Adam going to century is ultimate anime betrayals lol
How many rounds before the barrel swallows the no go gauge? That's a question for century arms
71stang94 1000 rounds, that’s shooting 10 rounds then allowing it to cool.
I'll believe it, when I see it. ( after Rob' s 5000 round test) Hope it's really a good product.
Rob, I am happy you exist.
20 bucks says it closes on a no go gauge after akou test
Field* gauge
I might want one of these...wasn't happy with the RAS47 I had but this looks promising.
Rob is a big dude and this guy is towering over him.
I was going to say the same!
All these new AK-74 coming on the market makes my heart very happy. I have VEPR, SAIGA, and Bulgarian parts kits build all of which I love. I look forward to having a choice of good US made AK-74. I guess I need to stock even more 5.45x39 in the bunker
I actually like centuries 545 plan, it's smart to take people in the community that know and are passionate about aks to come in to the project and have real, hands on input to it
While I certainly have my doubts about Century and other US AK manufacturers, I hope they continue to improve their quality and keep pumping out AKs in other calibers. Good to see some competition.
>the first american made ak74
>rpk receiver
>century arms
PSA will accomplish this first I believe and the RPK trunion is a good this due to obvious reason, but also I think the 5.45 & 5.56 round are higher pressure rounds.
What a wonderful year to live in America! All this competition between AK (Century, WBP) importers and US-made AK's(Zastava, KalashUSA, PSA) will lead to a good drop in prices and higher QC standards guaranteed! They're all looking to release many of their products in the same time frame as well! Love it!
Sweet! But will they be making one w bayo and cleaning rod in 7.62x39?
Not spending the money until I see some test results . What different types of gas tubes , threads on the muzzle breaks, stocks, cost, and most importantly....accuracy and dependability !
Lets see how it does Rob!!👍🇺🇸
CAI knew the import market was in big trouble. Will they even survive as a USA manufacturer company?
Can you do like a bad, Good, better, best type video on the parts of a AK or like a advantage and disadvantage of each part or do you know of a website that lists this for us guys that are new to the gun world
I don't trust a guy who looks like a used car salesman and PSA beat y'all to the punch releasing an American made AK 74. Thanks for the video Robski!
Wow! It is a great time AK fans. The competition is thick and it's good for the consumer.
Great interview. Thanks guys!!
Notice how he danced around the quality control and transparency question? He never actually committed to any of that, he just said how important it is in vague terms and left you with the insinuation that they're committed to quality and transparency lol. Gotta love corporate speak
With that new AK74.. are we going to see a huge boost of 5.45 ammo at local retailers? Thats the only reason Ive held off is I cant snag a few boxes for a weekend range sessions I have to order it online.
Doubtful. Unless this rifle sells real well and by that it would have to rival AR sales.
The RPK heavy barrel barrel length micro groove rifling like Marlin 30-30 is used to use
This guy once worked for PSA. If he keeps sliding down the pole he’s gonna end up at Taurus 😂
Was hoping to see that underfolder behind the big guy.....Great vids on the new ak's!
Was the rep trying to make a mandalorian reference @6:21 lol
Some of these answers seemed really sweated in front of the ak god
Great I will be looking forward for the AK 74 .
Thanks for this, great news! Any idea of the price point for the AK-74?
At least Century is making an attempt to listen to the consumers. It's a step in the right direction!
