One of the best channels, but it's 10% drains and 90% the enthusiasm for the job and life. Gotta love the old Aussie attitude to life.
I won't lie, talking about how much he loves his job and how much he doesn't wanna do others while doing the particularly gross stuff sounds sooo much like he's convincing himself-
and yet, he sounds so excited when he gets to blast a drain!
I know, it's brilliant. And lifts rest of us up as well to want to be like this!
I’m the person who unclogs the drains in my house (if I can’t get it cleared then I know we need to call a professional) Last time I did it I didn’t set the sink plug back in the right spot, didn’t affect the usage at all so I left knowing I’d be cleaning it again at some point. Today was that some point. I took the plug up and undid the pull thingy then looked down the drain to see if it needed to be cleaned out. It did and I grabbed my trusty yucky things toothbrush out but couldn’t seem the reach what I was seeing. So I had the joy of taking the small section of pipe out, cleaning it and reinstalling everything back the right way and called my boyfriend in to see how fast the drain empties now and got to say the iconic “you lil rippa” as it drained and I haven’t felt more pleased with myself in a while. Now I’m waiting for the day to say and bobs your mother’s brother.

It was us, your fans. We secretly fly from all over Australia to block peoples drains. So we can watch drain unblocking videos whilst eating soup and bread on cold winters nights. It's awesome. 😂

While the concrete was the main problem, someone flushing that blue paper down the dunny needs a reeducation about what should and shouldn't be flushed! Great work there mate - loving your channel, and watching from the damp north west of England.
Brilliant job, Bruce! This video is proof once again that you will go above and beyond the bare minimum, addressing the root cause (often literally 😆) instead of just rectifying the symptoms!
Those blue "paper towels" look more like commercial-use rayon/poly blend reusable disposable cleaning cloths. While they are considered disposable, they are meant to be tossed into the trash after use; they are not flushable - as we see here, they can easily clog a drain pipe up rather well. (Especially when given large obstacles to negotiate, like chunks of concrete!) I'm guessing they've been flushing those rags for a long time, and the concrete chunks were a recent addition that caused them to get trapped.

How's it going? I watched a video where a couple of guys played a game called "plumbers don't wear ties" and the good old algorithm suggested one of your videos. I'm glad it did, because it reminded me of something I liked watching when I was a kid. My parents sold amway products back in the early 90s, as a side business, and I really liked watching the training videos that showed how they worked. That included industrial strength clog remover that would eat through your pipes if you used more than a cap full. At any rate, you now have another subscriber from the US. I've watched several of your videos now, and I'd just like to say, I personally like your commentary. It really adds to the experience, in my opinion. Hope you have a great day.

That looks like it could be the cover of an inspection shaft. Maybe someone shoved a spade in too far, cracked it and it fell down? If so, there's a shaft somewhere dribbling earth into the drain... also, have you considered getting a litter picker, one of those things with a pistol grip on one end of a long pole and a grabber on the other? They look like they'd be ideal for pulling things up from the bottom of drains.

Bruce,perhaps what you need to add to your tools is a litter picker or extendable grabber? It could be used to fish things out or to find the entrance to grease traps and pass the bloody jet down before you fire it up, it would also help you not get problems with your back etc?
