Anthony having to step into the father role after losing his own vs Kate having to help Mary raise Edwina after they lost their dad… Birds of a feather!
You keep saying that Edwina will get hurt. We must remember that Kate warned her to stay away from Anthony. She worked hard to match Edwina with more suitable men. Edwina rebelled and brought into their lives the very man who stood in front of a room full of people and told her he didn't believe in love but would do his duty. Whatever happens she brings on herself.
@@Tashwampa Head headed is the perfect term. I would have dropped Edwina when she turned her back on Kate and walked over to Anthony. No more help, advice, support, nothing. Farewell, have the loveless, dutiful marriage you chose.
I don't think it's that black and white. She warned her to stay away from Anthony because she didn't think he could give her what she wanted but I don't know if we can ignore that she also never told her, at any point, that she had developed feelings for him. There were so many opportunities for her to do so. For sisters that had always been so close, she didn't deserve to find out the way she did and feeling betrayed by Kate was a perfectly valid response. Everyone involved could have moved differently.
@@diamcole you did watch the last episode when Kate explained why she didn’t tell Edwina about for feelings for Anthony? Clearly you didn’t. She never said anything about her feelings because she thought she could suppress them plus….nobody ever thought to ask Kate what she wanted and how she was feeling. Edwina was given everything and was warned several times by both Kate and Anthony that the marriage wouldn’t be a love match yet when things didn’t go well she chose to attack Kate. Yes should’ve been more honest, but Edwina brought that onto herself….hell, when she made Kate and Anthony go hunting together what did she think would end up happening?
@@tiamarrow6366 I did, watched the episodes and have read all of the books. I’m an avid fan of the Bridgerton world and all of the characters. My belief that she should have told her sister as opposed to trying to suppress her emotions is an opinion, we’re all allowed to have them. Jesus. 😂
Both the bee scenes are some of my favorite parts of this episode (besides Eloise and Daphne being so real throughout). Anthony and Kate’s bee scene was so wild in the book too. He had a panic attack and in checking her to be sure he got carried away…they were unchaperoned and caught by their moms, unfortunately, Anthony had his mouth all over Kate’s exposed chest 😅 Mama Bridgerton was not having it! 😂
Love the reactions!!! Before you guys might want to watch season 3, you should watch queen Charlotte. S1, S2 and QC all have the same show runner or Shonda heavily involved. Starting from season 3 there’s a new show runner, so you guys might be surprised
F**k them bees 😭 Rip to a real one. Also sadly Edwina was warned that Anthony didn’t want love so God bless her and her feelings. If she does get hurt, she’ll have herself to blame because Kate told her to find someone else and she didn’t listen
Tasha said “what if I wanted to keep the ring?” and it occurred to me how sad it is that even the ring is consider property of whoever holds the Vicount title. The symbol of their love basically stopped being Violet’s as soon as her husband died. Obviously she was ok with giving the ring to Anthony (as long as it was real love) but it’s sad anyway.
A lot of Bridgerton fans were hating on Violet for Anthony’s trauma but people need to realize that Violet actually went through it worse than Anthony did. Anthony having to become “man of the house” wasn’t Violet’s doing or choice…..that’s society’s doing since from the very beginning of time, men had more control and power than women aka patriarchy. By societal standards because the men are the “leaders”, they lead everything which includes their households which also meant that if something happened to the father….the oldest son were to take over, but all of the sons had more power than the girls in the house which included the mother. In regard to Violet….Edmund died in her arms, now yes Anthony watched him die but Violet literally watched him die in her arms….she was also pregnant with Hyacinth, gave birth that same night and nearly died in the process which meant the possibility of an abortion. While yes Violet did need to apologize to Anthony for how things went after Edmund died….none of that was her fault, it was society’s fault.
I get that Violet and Edmund had some great years but as a child who had to pick up the pieces, Anthony is not going to see that. He’s going to see not being able to grieve his Dad because every responsibility went to him in an hour of his Dad dying. All he sees is his Mom telling him go get the kids when their Dad was dead. Anthony is still a traumatized kid in a grown man’s body and all he’s heard since he took over was how terrible of a job he’s doing because of the comparison to his Dad. Violet needs to do more than force love on him and just apologize for how she treated her teenage son after she lost her husband. All he sees is pain and grief so it’s hard to see the good times through the lens of trauma 😩 This episode just reminds me of why I said Violet was an Eh of mom 🤣
A lil advice watch Queen Charlotte before season 3 of Bridgerton it has some things in Queen Charlotte that you not know about before season 3 of Bridgerton
“they unchaperoned, get back !” 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
I feel like benedict and Colin need chaperones too with the shenanigans they get into. That boy was high as a kite lolol
Back i say 🤺 back🤺🤺
Loving these Bridgerton reactions! 😂 So glad ya'll are loving the show. I really love episode 3 because we get to see what made Anthony the way he is!

Omg Tasha at the bee scene. I'm gasping 😂😭🤣

I always forget about that because Kate literally told her and Edwina was being hard headed

The subtitle says "fixation" when Kate is saying "vexation."
Everytime you mentioned that bee 🐝 I lost it 😂😂
Oh no!!! The Bees 🐝
To this day we still got beef with this bee
The Kate/Anthony bee scene in the book was more scandalous, Anthony actually tries to suck out the venom, and they are caught.
In the book, Anthony also thinks he will die young because Edmund died at like 38 and Anthony thinks there’s no way he would out live him.
