Having a 2014 E300 Hybrid estate , I was very interested in this video , However I can confirm , although the car is an outstanding piece of engineering , The video fails to mention , this particular car is fitted with the optional 80 litre tank not the standard 59 litre as fitted in 90% of E300 models . It is not mentioned any where in the video and I had to research the web to confirm this. Incidentally the overall range for the estate should be in the region of 800 miles , the most I have had from mine was 560 miles or an average around 47 mpg not the 62 mpg factory quote ....no idea how they managed 73 mpg as they achieved on here ?? , is a great luxury barge though

This E class is the 7G gear box not like some e class which are 5 gears also he was very gentle on throttle and didn’t even exceed speed over 63mph if you do same on motor way and use cruise control you should get around that mileage I own E class as well as GLS on my GLS I get 200 more miles per tank if I don’t speed over 65mph if I do it will drop from 750 per tank to 550 miles

They’ve used a factory optional bigger fuel tank of 95L rather than the standard 59L... 95L is huge... they would of only had to average 60mpg to do it... where as 97mpg I’d they used the standard tank !!!!
Still good mpg... but pretty sure if Lexus offered a 95L tank in their IS300H... they would manage it :-)
