I love this part of Handel Messiah, from surely to all we like sheep, I just had another year of Handel sing along, this is one of the best parts i love deeply, talking about how Jesus died for us, and it is actually a big song in 3 part, there is no stop between this 3 songs, it is so emotional singing these parts , including the later he trusted in God, everyone who sing along with the choir can totally feel the music move you so strong and so deep i just love it so much
Superb. I am Blessed to hear Renaissance flavoured orchestra from Srilanka.
Perfect phrasing, perfect balance, perfect tempo, PERFECT
Always in tears remembering JESUS Passion for our salvation in the words of these songs. 🙏🙏
Absolutely beautiful performance. "Surely He hath borne our griefs.. " took me to realms beyond where there's only bliss.
Ohh my God it's so emotional
Handel really captured the indescribable emotions that can be felt when reflecting on the Atonement of Christ. Thank you for this wonderful upload of a superb performance of one of my favorite songs of all time.
I wanted to hear these pieces during the Lenten season but no matter when I hear them they lift my spirit!! Thanks for sharing!! God bless!!
Una excelnte nterpretación muy limpia, muy equilibradas todas las voces
Thank you for everyone not rushing out of the gate at "chastisement". Very excellently and exceptionally performed!
Congratulations, the performance is very pleasant and well executed: BRAVO!
This is excellent. Congratulations to everyone, orchestra, choir and conductor. I especially liked "All We Like Sheep". Wonderful.
Thankyou for uploading! :)
I had to learn "All we, like sheep", so I'm sitting with the sheet music. Now I'm very comfortable ^^
Great energy here
Me gustó mucho el coro voces limpias sobre todo las sopranos !
Thank you! This is beautiful!
Qué suelto el coro, que bien!!
Beautiful
Nicely done!!
Sung these three for last easter
Nice man
We perform complete Messiah in Valencia next 23 and 24 march.
The only way to hear these three movements is to hear them all together.
its because the verses taken from the bible are also in this sequence
Isiah 53:4-6
0:00 - Surely He Hath Borne Our Griefs
2:07 - And With His Stripes We Are Healed
3:52 - All We Like Sheep Have Gone Astray
needed to post that for practice.......rather than clicking blindly... :|
(clarinet...)
A bit brisk tempo for "and with his stripes"; I mean this guy Jesus is taking some serious punishment. Acknowledge that. This such powerful music. Otherwise, outstanding!
I hate how the sopranos/trebles always overpower the other voices, but that’s how it was written I guess
Weak bass & tenor choir section. Women much louder.
I don't think so. The performance is of such high quality, note perfect with precise diction, that I can't believe the director would have tolerated a bad blend. And, the ratio of female to male voices is about right, and there isn't a bad singer in the bunch. No--the recording sounds like it was close miked, so the voices in front SEEM louder than those in the back, although the blend would be perfect to the audience. Nor do I have a problem following the basses and tenors--then again, I am a bass and have sung the piece a number of times over the years.
Nice man
