Hairdresser here 👋🏼 The reason it’s classed as damaged is because when your hair is wet it’s more elastic and in it’s weakest state so pulling it tight is encouraging it to snap.

This is so true! I just spent the last like 2 years doing only wet hairstyles and my hair is RIPPED up. It’s like I have the worst and thinnest “layers”. I now am trying to figure out how to repair it as soon as possible.

Same and I wear Hijab so wet hair in a hair bun and under a scarf is not just unsafe for your hair but also your scalp.

The only way to repair your hair will be to cut it. Your hair has snapped so the ends under a microscope would look like the torn piece of rope. You need to cut all the breakage off otherwise those frayed ends with continue splitting further up your hair making it even thinner. Get a blunt cut, it will appear thicker and fuller

@@WaynesPokeWorld thank you...i was not sure if just cutting the ends would work for that because i am really scared to cut all my hair off since I've had the same length for as long as i ca remember. I also have really fine hair so growing it takes a really long time. And i have noticed since 2016 which is when i started wearing scarf permanently my hair started thinning if that makes sense. Any tips on how to make a fuller?

I am kind of confused as to why this is making headlines, like we have more serious problems going on in the world that need addressing!
