Exactly. It's not just action (although the action IS awesome), but it has a lot of depth and emotion. The characters, and relationships, the themes... that's what makes this show special in the end of the day. I'm so sad that this show doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

This ending was beautiful in a "pay it forward" way - Nikita saved Alex, so she lets Alex be the one to save Liza (well, just bring her home, but still). Maybe one day Liza will be able to save a girl in need, too.

The actress is Annalise Basso. She was 13 at the time. The final scene of this episode, to me, is one, if not THE most beautiful and powerful scene of the entire series in terms of Nikita and Alex' relationship. Here, their quest and friendship truly comes full circle. And Lyndsy Fonseca, with those glasses, is just unfathomably beautiful here. The song is still on rotation on my iPhone playlist, and every time it comes up, it reminds me of exactly this scene. Truly powerful stuff.
