It comes out today (Feb 19) in North America. The store usually updates around 7:00 EST, but that was a little less than an hour ago. It should be out in the next hour.
If it is out in North America then that is good. Our store (Australia) usually updates around 3 am tomorrow morning, which is around 11 - 12 hours away. That store update is usually inline with EU store updates (Europe, Incl: UK). Looks like they may update the store earlier, but who knows for the EU section, they are usually slow in updates and what not.
@Slaegar He also said and I quote“We don’t provide the ‘easy to program for’ console that (developers) want, because that means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so then the question is, ‘what do you do for the rest of the nine-and-a-half-years? So it’s a kind of-I wouldn't say a double-edged sword-but it’s hard to program for, And a lot of people see the negatives of it, but if you flip that around, it means the hardware has a lot to offer.”
So in other words, if they do confirm it, will be released all at the same time. I think read a article with information on the fourth DLC. We will have to see i guess :)
well its out in north america. i dont know if that helps u figure out how much more time time it usually takes for other countries to get it afterwards
You can buy a third gen I7 3000 3.8/4/2 GHz series desktop with an amd radeon 7900 card, 2tb hdd/128 ssd, 16gb ram bluray and a samsung 27 inch hd monitor for $1500 here in NZ, its not that expensive..and connected via hdmi to a 50 inch tv to play pc games is beyond what the current gen offers, also the fact that you can emulate any console in 4x quality except the ps3/360 is pretty cool..Playing final fantasy xii on a 50 inch tv with 4x quality of the ps2 is beyond amazing
The xbox lasted a year and RRoD on me, never bought a new one, but i bought the PS3 on launch day. I still have it, still works like a charm, has an upgraded HDD but that is it. So yes, mine made it the whole cycle. And i think the PS4 is being announced tomorrow :)
no it is the save file, go check 2011 Skyrim vids about console save file passing 10MB.. almost everyone mentions that when it goes over it then it gets laggy, this vid shows some of it: watch?v=HH_2Oq87TAQ
@Matschmacher007 for the xbox definitely, but for the ps3 be ready to restart it because it crashes and freezes constantly and maybe end up jamming your system
Exactly, i use to use computer for gaming. After buying a Alienware gaming laptop (at the time was the best one you could get) after 1 year, it was outdated and required me to install more ram and games required a faster CPU and more powerful GPU. I did not want to spend $3,000 on a new computer, sold it, bought a PS3 and never looked back. No only has my ps3 lasted, there is no need for hardware upgrades or any of that. Only upgrade to a newer console after what, 7 years? Not every year!
What's amazing about this is my wife will likely want to play Skyrim! Since EA with The Sims franchise has already made her accustomed to the fact that large save files cause games to be unplayable that part won't deter her from trying Hearthfire.
Dragonborn on the PS3 is flawless, no bugs no glitches. Still currently playing it, up to 24 hours in dragonborn (raven rock) and never been so happy with a Bethesda Add-On before. First time they got it right. I suspect it was the Sony Techs who helped Bethesda a lot. But still kudo's for Bethesda for taking the time to work with Sony, hopefully they can take that knowledge and implement it in Fallout 4 and so on.
"1,100 for a decent one." Please dont ever say that im from Australia too and i have a $800 PC. And it runs BF3 ultra 40 - 45 FPS i dont need to upgrade it for like another year or so. And it runs way better than a ps3.
Especially for the games that require beefy computers. Which will break the bank. A console is good for games that look good, and are under a thousand dollars.
Not trying to be that guy but It took Bethesda a year and a half give or take to get the dlc for ps3 but I am happy that they did. Even though it took a long ass time
a new patch relased last week, and for most people it did, people with 19/20MB saves and DLC's installed have no problems but remember, it's skyrim, and it WILL lag a little, it does even on xbox
When PSN updates, it will available then. I do not think any one has it on the PS3 yet. The Store updates later today / tonight. When do they usually update for you? That is when it will be available.
Oblivion wasn't actually released on the PS3 at launch. It was released a year later, after the PC and Xbox 360. And some Oblivion DLC's weren't even released for the PS3. At Skyrim's launch, the PS3 version was fraught with issues. It had numerous bugs and technical issues that took months to get ironed out through later patches. Adding DLC to that mess would've been a disastrous mess.
Yeah auto saves made the game lag, there was even a article about it by Bethesda. They said to turn off auto saves and only have 1 manual save. And it worked. Now with all the patches the game is pretty much flawless. If you still have your copy give it a shot. Yeah something about it taking up resources to auto save or something like that. Can't remember exactly but i have been saving manual for like a year now
Yes, the best expansion i have played and it came from Bethesda. I am so surprised that is runs so good. They should employ Sony tech 24/7 especially for the upcoming Fallout 4.
I'm not denying that Bethesda games have run poorly on the PS3. What i'm trying to say is that between the time Bethesda released Oblivion and Skyrim they should have learnt how to properly/efficiently code for the PS3's architecture in that given time. It is not a problem with the architecture itself (or the console) but more of a problem of Bethesda not getting their shit together, however despite all of the problems on the PS3 version, the game was still great.
Hes right though you need custom firmware to pirate games on PS3, which is dangerous because you can end up bricking your PS3 . For xbox360 it has to be modified. For PC just download the game switch a few files around and BAM you have the game.
They needed Sony because of the uproar of The Elder Scrolls fans that wanted the DLC and they could not work it out. Sony helped get it out and work out the flaws. Also, Sony help other companies with releasing games, this is not the first time hey. Just the first time you probably heard about it. Lets hope Bethesda took what they have learned and use it in their upcoming games.
I have a PS3. You are being such a fan boy. And by the way the PC is the best gaming device. All a game console is a computer dedicated to gaming. AKA a watered down computer. The reason I like console games is that I don't need to install, just put in the CD/BluRay, Lag is mainly nonexistent, because they are made for that specific device, and I like the controller.
Right, then how much would say they cost? $900, still close to a thousand buddy. Here in Australia, pc consoles (gaming) will cost about $1,100 for a decent one. So, care to explain that price huh?
i will agree, although i grew up playing consoles, starting when Sega Master System 2 came out was my first console, followed by PS1 and well you get the point. But here is another point i would like to point out. Here, i think we get charged more money for any setup. Hell, our game prices alone are just stupid, they are close to $100 each title. So let alone a Gaming PC will cost us too much to even worry about one. I know you can build one yourself, but then you have to research specs.
Oh my god, You set your alarm to 2 in the morning for this litlle piece of dlc? Oh and it's not going show up the second it's tuesday. Go to schoo or your work and it should be there when you come back home.
If you BUILD your own pc it wont break your bank. You can build one and it will only be like $1500 (depends what you put in it) and it will be able to run gta 5 when it comes out on ultra settings and the graphics will be better than any console.
if one's system freezes everytime the save file gets too big then they should fucking fix it or not put it on ps3 at all. I mean they managed to do it correctly on xbox... :/ also, people SHOULD have high standarts otherwise we would only have crappy games. but the framerate drop doesnt annoy me THAT much
im a pc gamer now but still bangout ps3 but pc is not a device its a system and you can buy a bluray disc drive and install it to your pc you can also use a controller to play your games on the pc

@Mohammed Abidi you are the first PC gamer that i actually respect. Thank you
Check and see for yourself, i think it releases later today / night depending where you live
So in other words, if they do confirm it, will be released all at the same time. I think read a article with information on the fourth DLC. We will have to see i guess :)

searously, why not release it at like 3:00 p.m. eastern time, so when we all get home from school and sports we can just download and play
I don't wanna wait til then, I have no homework, and im excited for heartfier now
I'm buying it for the house building... its one of the things I've always wanted in Skyrim.
This DLC would've came earlier, but it wasn't compatible. I wonder if the PS4 game streaming will fix that? Play an XBox Game on your PS4!
Not to mention i still have a Sega master system 2 from launch and that works too, but i think those console were made to last a nuclear war.
comes out at 12:00
Cheack around 6:00 7:00 easter time for heartfire thats when dragonborn showed up on psn here in united states.
Agreed. There is no $400-$500 PC from 2005-2006 that can push out Crysis 2 or Battlefield 2 graphics let alone the newest exclusives.
What's amazing about this is my wife will likely want to play Skyrim! Since EA with The Sims franchise has already made her accustomed to the fact that large save files cause games to be unplayable that part won't deter her from trying Hearthfire.

i bought my pc 2 years ago for 1000 bucks, and till this day i still don't managed to find a game i cannot play on ultra-high-settings
its been for a while ( 3 or 4 days I think)
"1,100 for a decent one." Please dont ever say that im from Australia too and i have a $800 PC. And it runs BF3 ultra 40 - 45 FPS i dont need to upgrade it for like another year or so. And it runs way better than a ps3.

That same architecture that Bethesda had years to get used to.
Not trying to be that guy but It took Bethesda a year and a half give or take to get the dlc for ps3 but I am happy that they did. Even though it took a long ass time

I went through so much gold building the first home...and it's not even fully furnished yet. xD
Not having direct backwards compatibility saved everybody money
0:31
they Photoshopped the X button and L3 into the controls XD
Oh shit. Forgot, my computer calender's one day too fast LoL
Mine too, after I played a few times it just stop loading discs. then it died.
I got recommended this in 2020
not the physical games, but you can stream the games via gaiko or something like that. the new ps doesn't have backward comparability.
You have to look on youtube, skyrim on ultra with graphic mods, it looks fuckin unreal.
This isnt even out in uk im on the store now :(
How about a super HD texture pack?? that'd be legit
I went on the US PSN website and it now says release date us Feb 20.
Damn my love of Skyrim and Minecraft seeming to blend together
Did they ever fix the freezing/frame rate issue/crashing on this game, if they did I will buy the add on
The shame is that we'd probably have to re-buy the game we already own. Luckily I still have my older systems. I'm more then happy to play on them.
Damn giants always trying to ruin my house -__-

tell me your kidding right? theres no way im gonna stay sane until tomarrow

tell that to Bethesda Softworks they made the game
i have the game on Ps3, but theres no point in getting this bcos once ur save file exceeds over 15MB ur game is gnna b laggy :/
I already have a family in real life. They should added more caves and called it the "Caveman DLC" or a "Vallhajla DLC" or some shit.
1:35-1:39 Lol, the Fus Ro Da on the skeever was priceless.
Yes, the best expansion i have played and it came from Bethesda. I am so surprised that is runs so good. They should employ Sony tech 24/7 especially for the upcoming Fallout 4.
He took an arrow to the knee
Why does everybody say it lags all the time the game only lags when it autosaves
Were the fuck is it then? I don't see it on the psn store. They said February 19th this dlc was suppose to available for psn.
I'm not denying that Bethesda games have run poorly on the PS3. what the heck. its still not out
Good. Thanks, Sony, I looked forward to this the entire day and I probably will not even get to play it.
it updated with all the little big planet cart raceing outfits but no skyrim dlc?????!!!!!!!
I really want to be at the event but i am no one :(
You mean too weak for them. There's only so much you can do with 130MBs of available RAM after the OS.
Hes right though you need custom firmware to pirate games on PS3, which is dangerous because you can end up bricking your PS3 . For xbox360 it has to be modified. For PC just download the game switch a few files around and BAM you have the game.

So back on topic, does any one have this on PS3 yet? How does it run? Good?
I got hearthfire yesterday and today a giant massacred my livestock, my wife, and my follower. :(
Giants and skeevers. Jesus i have my eyes open hoping an elder dragon doesnt attack my family.
Thanks ^^

I would rather pay full price instead of waiting for half of year
I'm actually thinking of buying it... For PC. Unfortunately PS3 games are expensive as hell where I live so only Steam can save my day. XD
Skyrim meets Sims? I actually like this idea but that's probably because I like both Skyrim and the Sims...
You are incorrect. Hearthfire was not released on Xbox until September.
I hear you on that statement bro
its funny. on the main menu of skyrim for dlc it says dragonborn and underneath it hearthfires. idk about anyone else but i find that kinda funny lol
Right, then how much would say they cost? $900, still close to a thousand buddy. Here in Australia, pc consoles (gaming) will cost about $1,100 for a decent one. So, care to explain that price huh?
Well i know that i was just saying im impressed by it that they have actually took out time just to do that
ummm, there's guys on the official forums which currently have like 19/20MB saves WITH DRAGONBORN installed and it's fine for them.
So be my guest
Wasnt there a mod where you can do this
Why...why did the stores near my home stop selling psn cards... :(
> Impress your friends with trophies
> Skyrim has no online interaction what so ever
Oh Bethesda, you're all a bunch of herpaderps.
Whens it out in australia

Would prefer to mount a vampires / werewolves heads, but i guess a mudcrab would be okay lol
Oh my god, You set your alarm to 2 in the morning for this litlle piece of dlc? Oh and it's not going show up the second it's tuesday. Go to schoo or your work and it should be there when you come back home.

I guess so, but I share my PC with my brother so we kind of split the cost of the system and its repairs.
i know what im torrenting... uh i mean buying next
It comes out tomorrow in uk
It wasn't Bethesda's fault. The PlayStation 3's hardware is just difficult to use. It's was just too complicated for them.
It's downloading now on my ps3 :D
I haven't played Skyrim in forever on my ps3... does it still lag ever since dragonborn dlc came out!
turn off auto-saves and save manually. No lag what so ever.
if one's system freezes everytime the save file gets too big then they should fucking fix it or not put it on ps3 at all.
I mean they managed to do it correctly on xbox... :/
also, people SHOULD have high standarts otherwise we would only have crappy games. but the framerate drop doesnt annoy me THAT much
sorry to hear that.
Why can't you make your own tinie tiny baby's and watch it's grow that would be cool
im a pc gamer now but still bangout ps3 but pc is not a device its a system and you can buy a bluray disc drive and install it to your pc you can also use a controller to play your games on the pc
As long they don't take. This much time for dawnguard is cool lol
lol I kept thinking I was playing minecraft and was like where's my pickaxe?
