The kind of people that come to this corner of the Internet are so lovely, it makes me happy to see so many people becoming aware of these things. Much love to you all! I'm glad you're here! 💖⭐🌜🌼
It is peaceful and loving here. Much love to you as well.🌻🤗
Yes I feel the same, it must be like what it feels like going to a retreat, without leaving the house 😊if that made sense lol X
Beautiful acknowledgement... Thank you for expressing these blessings 🙏💕😇

Good insights there. Thanks for the share : )
He's helping me a lot to control my anxiety. That's why I get up earlier every day and take my time paying attention to the things I do before I go to work. Getting up, feeding my pets, taking a shower, getting dressed with the clothes I have already chosen to wear the night before. Enjoying my cup of coffee, and doing all this without thinking about work.
Then, with plenty of time, I get in my truck and enjoy the driving to work.
I really do not think about how I think my day is going to be when I'm at work.
I don't care about it. I leave that until I'm already there and just taking things as they come.
This eliminates my anxiety completely.
I can see most people on the road driving faster, rushing and I see myself the way I was before. Taking for granted everything that the present moment is giving you.

Congrats on practicing the choice of freedom and gratitude in every moment.
What about racing thoughs or that sense if uneasiness?
You can drink coffee? I'm envious. Coffee agitates me.
@@pas_du_tout When I had anxiety I could not drink coffee at all.. made me be nervous
ECKHART TOLLE is one of the BEST Teachers in this UNIVERSE
I suffered from major depression and crippling anxiety. I couldn't do "1 day at a time." I controlled myself by thinking just get through the next 5 minutes (or any small amount of time). It helped. This is something that took a good 14 years from my quality of life. Being able to control anxiety is difficult, but it can be done. Don't be discouraged. Peace ☮️.
Thank you for sharing. I'm going through both right now + grief. You're giving me hope.
I did the same. Living for just next 10 minutes !
It took me about 10 years to be free of Anxiety. I found Eckhart Tolle and Gabor Mate very helpful.
Peace to you and your journey. Thank you for sharing.
5 minutes at a time is so very useful 🙏🙏🙏
@@leanneramnarine2281 Hope you're feeling better. I'm now going through that, as well. Roughest time/transitional time of my life. Mainly a move and my best friend of 14 years breaking it off with me months ago. Starting a new job, etc.
Eckhart's laugh is like a bubbling spring of life💖
His voice is so calming
Whoever reading this
May all your dreams come true 🤗
You always say that.
Thank you blessings to you x
I m anxiety free..tell your mind on a daily basis.
The week I found you kind sir, I realized life is passing me by while I sit at my computer working from home. I have the age & the time in so I made the big decision to retire this June on my 57th bday. Until I heard you, it never occurred to me to just make it happen. Retirement docs have been submitted & I feel so alive & hopeful for a soothing & creative future now. All thanks to you Mr. Tolle❣️🙏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Best decision ever. You'll never regret it.
Lovely
@Round 1 It about all nows, being fulfilled , all time one work in now it the same in retirement, the last will be more difficult because the old habits to work for future. Retirement would become restless.
It remind me a company, with unusual approach to their employees. The moment you are hired you have one day of week to be free to figure out what you will do when retirement come. It not a day off, it your retirement day that some point come and you have to know how you live it, need learn it now.
What happened after this, everybody started enjoying their work, the production sky high. The training retirement time become irrelevant, something changed the flame of mind of everybody. ( It is the freedom to chose, freedom of not be slaved by work in life) It the most intelligent idea of organization can apply. It is life of their employees the company giving back, the reward is beyond of reward.
My husband and feel the same. The realisation that I’ve spent most of my life, 57, in pursuit of the wrong things. Decision made. Have a wonderful, enlightened retirement.
I wish I had that option. But I need the income . I long for a time that I can stop working on my computer and just be
I loved the expression "99% is something that happens while you wait for something else to happen." That is so true!
Exactly
“Today I escaped anxiety. Or no, I discarded it, because it was within me, in my own perceptions - not outside.” - Marcus Aurelius. WE 💜 you ECKHART :)
Thanks for sharing your takeaways!
neither 'inside nor outside' but, imagined as our ego-identity/persona and than believed as a personal fact/truth (meaning, "this is so for me" personally/mentally) .. * p.s : I AM all of this & more, so everything is within this I AM.. heart being vs. mental identities a.k.a person[ality- other]. Nothing ever happens to me, yet Without me, Nothing else can exist. (::)
I liked your comment, I shall put it into practice👍
Love Aurelius! His Meditations saved my life. I too see parallels in these two thinkers.
I could listen to him for hours. I feel so alive when I can exist out of the stranglehold of my ego. 💙
Same!
Looks like you enjoyed this video as much as I did!
Yes I feel the same! 🤍🙏☺️
@@iamdjmehow I fear that this pandemic will keep us busy for a while longer. And in addition to physical hygiene, mental and spiritual hygiene will also be of immense importance. I've been suffering from weltschmerz for years, and it's extremely strange to me that suddenly everyone is depressed. Before, I was always told not to whine so much. Now I just feel sorry for everyone who suffers from this demon called depression in exactly the same way. I wish you much strength and attention for the gift of presence, my friend!
@@kimberlysizemore802 y ooohhh ooo9o
My mind is racing during his talks, i have to always rewind to hear what he said 😂
Same for me….sad, as he is wonderful.
No worries... It happens with me too.
I guess we are not used to to living like this. Being in hurry is what's been deeply embedded in us for years. It would take some time.
I was trying my very best to be in the moment....... However approximately 8 minutes of the 12-minute teaching, I scrolled down to see what other videos to watch in my future.
This is so true. I’ve filled my home with cute sparkle lights that require manual switches and buttons to turn on. ✨ This helps me focus on simple tasks immediately in the morning. I have a chronic illness (hEDS) which is unrelenting daily pain. I use a technique called “Build A Ladder” and it’s all about paying attention to, and appreciating the small steps in life to prevent your self from being absorbed by depression and the chatter of the pain self 👩🏻🦳💕
I love you Martina, been watching you forever.
Thanks so much!!!
So unexpected! Wish you all the best :)
Great words shared!
I’d like to learn more about the “build a ladder” technique, is this information available somewhere? I also live with chronic pain and want to develop a better relationship with my experience.
Im so lucky to be able to experience his teachings from the comfort of my home.
@Eckhart Tolle what does this mean?
Eckhart is helping me more than any doctor ever has. I'm learning to deal with anxiety without the use of drugs, long way to go but im getting there slowly. Thank you Eckhart for your most meaningful and calming words
How is your journey being so far with the anxiety? 😊
@@KristelRalston i'm taking 20mg citolopram every morning and it really helps.Much less anxious now and no longer does it feel like a battle against my own happiness. Eckarts videos still charm, captivate and teach me 🤒 thanks for asking 👌
@@squeakysoliloquy83why do you still need medication? Long term use will lead to cognitive degeneration. May I suggest looking into learning to manage anxiety without medication? I did it you can too.
@@charlieknoch5502 Thanks for your concern and advice. Somehow I have managed to cope. The day my wife left is the last day I took the Citilopram, my guessing was I couldn't feel any worse. Somone once said "The lowest ebb is the turn of the tide" Through the tears, sad and happy, through very mixed confused emotions I have tried to occupy myself. Today, over two months on, I can see light at the end of the tunnel, I no longer need or want the anti depressants and am being, being more concerned with right now, The only thing I have planned, besides work, is a climb up Mnt Snowdon on Aug 20th. That will help my body, spirit and mind more than any man made drug.
Eckert is a true inspiration and at times I havejust listened to his voice, not his words. Sometimes he soothes, sometimes he educates! He's the Man!
How you feeling now?
I really like this - reminds of something St David, the patron saint of Wales, is said to have told his followers: "Do the little things" - a small sentence with profound meaning. When I start feeling anxious I turn to my go-to text: the Antianxiety Formula by Duncan Holder - it's really helped me.
Wow - such a simple idea but really profound as you say. Love Eckhart's wisdom!
@@JannieKai-ic3ur 6th century wisdom - aligns with 21st century wisdom!
Where did you purchase the Antianxiety Formula text??
With his shirt folding example, I find the same feeling when I make the bed in the morning.
Probably among the *most important speeches* ever taken so far by Eckhart Tolle.
It might sound limited because he only speaks about simple things and anxiety which are aspects of life but I assure you after having watched and listened to hundreds of speeches that this video is the most fundamental because if you listen with the *uttermost attention* you realize that he speaks about the everyday life of *all human beings* on Earth.
Be it their family, social or professional life.
🙏
Prayer is the best way to control anxiety.
When you think about it, prayer is just a form of meditation. Sort off.
I always find witnessing the beauty in the small helps me alleviate suffering and appreciate now. 🙏🏼❤️ Thank you Eckhart.

Hi I'm Barbara freitas this so nice person Elkhart cam into my life 15 yrs ago. I,m 87 soon. What a beautiful way to live.
Eckhart's videos and book have saved me many times from violent, vicious, unrelenting panic attacks. Dont know where id be without this guidance. Thank you so so much
Can t believe I ve spent my life never in the ' now ' , I THANK God I found you Eckhart Thank you so very much ,
Love the dry humor and the ability to make himself laugh.
His compasion towards the other is limitless
Patience is essential to being present. So much of my life I find myself rushing through tasks and moments that in my mind are unpleasant .. when really it just my distorted pleasure seeking mind that wants gratification.
Anyone else notice this about themselves?
Let go Let GOD
A profound reminder. Life only exists in the present moment. Thank You for taking the time to make this video Eckhart Tolle.
I also enjoy hearing this man speak. My son put me onto him..he really lives his life according to his words. He has also told me of this speaker's early life experiences...so interesting!
I just dropped $275 on getting my septic tank pumped...The septic backed up into all my sinks, toilets and tubs on the day of my wedding party 😬 but I smiled and joked. They guy arrived early and I ran out there to help him. It was a horrible smell but I helped shovel the dirt off the tank and lift the lid.
I had someone at my party make the fella a food plate and thanked him tremendously.
I figured, it had to be pumped. It was quite a tragedy at first but turned out to be the humor that kept the party laughing 😅
I took a shower and went back at it.
Love his giggle !!!!
Wish I'd heard you speak 20 years ago, probably wouldn't have argued with myself of why I felt how I felt, love and gratitude brother 👊☘🇮🇪✌
This video has changed my life. Although I already knew a tiny bit about the value to being present, the truth, that The Now is the only reality, evaded me. The other comment I will make is that I read someone commenting that they resented paying to come to hear Eckhart speak, when he is a millionaire. I might remind anyone who is thinking anything similar, that the 'little gem' above is free, and for me, is worth at least a million Aussie dollars. Thank you Eckhart, I'm very grateful. Regards, Lachlan
So insightful.. Eckhart is a master in knowing how human behaviour contributes to our suffering. Just brilliant.
I know... human behavior seems to be very similar across time and between personalities
My driving instructor told me this to prepare me for my driving test years ago. He told me think of it as the first thing I have to do as I leave the junction, next thing of the next step I’ve got to do stop at the light. This helped me rather than feeling overwhelmed with the whole journey I separated it into each task I needed to do. I did pass first time
This is nothing short of brilliant. So simple, yet profound.
I so enjoy just sitting and absorbing Mr. Tolle's wise offerings. I especially love his laughter.
I could listen to Eckhart all day. I love his humour which is the greatest antidote to anxiety 😍😂😎
"99% is something that happens, while you wait for something else to happen."
~ E Tolle
Eckhart really is a true Zen Master, the way he describes how a big thing is just a series of small and insignificant things at a time.
It’s all about intentional living and simplicity.
In every video Ekhart brings me peace❤ I watched this in a sick state which i believe was due to living in the future. I came back from vacation and was going to leave to another vacation in 4 days. The 4 days of work became torture in my mind, i didn't want to be here, doing the work. I didnt feel like living the current moment, i wanted to be 4 days ahead and it made me soo weak. This is day 2 and i am going to live it fully, every meeting i have, every person i will talk to, i am going to treat as a present. A present of present moment:)
You don’t need to control anxiety, just embrace it.
True… just realised to release yourself, you need to embrace your pain, discomfort or anxiety. And see what opens up. 🎉
@@raaziabanks2552 wow I'm finding this is the only way you need to be one with it sit in it feel it don't try to fight it
Keep the moment simple without projection.Breathe and allow.👌
I have much more anxiety since I’ve been working from home for several years. My job is also very demanding and staring at a computer screen all day seems insane to me. How did the world get to be like this? No wonder so many of us have anxiety. We’ve lost touch with normal communication and connection with humans.
Remote working is not all it’s cracked up to be and eventually led me to quit. Especially since I had never worked as hard in my entire career, as I did when I was WFH, my employer’s belief was that I was “baking cookies and doing laundry.” I’m so happy you posted, as I thought it was just me not being able to handle it.
@@HappyNess43 I am lucky to work for a company that does appreciate me, but we are understaffed which makes it harder. They did just hire someone, so that should help. Even with that though, working from home is unhealthy for me in many ways. Did you find another job going into an office?
Eckhart is so true. The present deserves our full attention, because there is no future.
Arrived searching for santuary and a respite from my own troubled and busy mind... Wise monumental words from a humble man.
Eckhart Tolle 💓 To look at you, makes me feel so much love and peace😊 I love you
He speaks the truth.. We deny the present moment, which is life itself..
I Love you Eckhart, with all my heart.
This is exactly true, it’s always rush, rush in a hurry. It’s time to slow down.💕
Eckhart is describing my "overwhelm". I have to remember his words...it's the little things. 99%!!!!!
Anxiety because of a meeting I have tomorrow brings me here, social situations. Thank u tolle, I've learnt lots from you and will continue to try.
My mind is definitely always looking to the future when things will be better (or if I really anxious my mind is looking to the future which will be worse).
Wow, this guy is awesome. I love the depth of his words. He really undestands the roots of anxiety.

If you loose someone or something, you were really attached to, anxiety dissolves. And suddenly you are there in the Now. And you can stay with it, because there is no more future, you want to go to. Just appreciating and enjoying the little things in the Now - that’s what life is all about.
Thank you Eckhart 😊
Thank you for your insights and inspirational message!
Love you soooo much Eckhart!
From the voice, I legit pictured a meditating man of middle eastern descent with a large beard, a turban, the cartoon image of a guru I'd seen as a kid growing up.
Glad I was right and he's also the main character in Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy.
Seriously though thank you removal of past and future. I still put away anything that is troublesome like socializing from my mind to stop problem creation. I am no longer in my head with anxiety, I'm just not challenging myself with things that can cause pain.

There is a Zen thing: "when you chop wood, chop wood". Sometimes when I am doing dishes and my head is all over the place, I stop and repeat that and then: "when you do dishes, do dishes". The little things ... the simple things that are out lives. I am fortunate to be able to live in a way that appreciates that BUT, as a solo human living rurally, I often need to "get out of my head" and be present in the moment. Some days/times it is easier than others 😃
This really helped me today. Thank you.
