- The Triforce Collab is a series of Game Grumps remixes provided by Atpunk, xXJerryTerryXx, and liltommyj.
After witnessing many comments of grump fans requesting a collab, I decided to test if one would be possible. Back in early January I bravely messaged both liltommyj and JerryTerry to see if they would ever be interested. Surprisingly enough, they were!
The first initial 8bit intro that you hear was the original concept I had sent to them. With a melody, an Emaj key, and 200 BPMs, I told them to take it and just be creative. Without a doubt they delivered. Then through the use of Skype we made sure to keep in touch and link to any updates and ideas we would come up with. Even though we were divided by thousands of miles and a 5 and 16 hour timezone difference, we accomplished the impossible.
These songs are a testament to the imagination and accessibility of our generation. It was a pleasure to work with these gentlemen, and we hope all the fans enjoy it as must as we did making it.

The world was at a special place during the Jon era that it has yet to be at again. I really miss the Jon era, what a special year that truly was.
Listening to this 8 years later brought tears to my eyes. It has such an upwelling emotional energy to it, plus the memories it brings back from that time of my life of course. Absolutely insane that it has been this long since this song was made. Thank you for this. :)

Even though JonTron Game Grumps took up a very small portion of my life, I will always remember it and be thankful for all the laughs we shared together. It effected me positively, gave me a greater sense of humor, made me friendlier. Thank you Jon and Arin for being yourselves and sharing your friendship with the world.
...If the rumors aren't true, anyway.

The short and skinny version is that while Jon was taking questions during a livestream a few weeks ago, someone asked him about Arin and he went totally silent for like 30 seconds, then started talking again without answering the question. He was extremely active and talkative (he IS JonTron, after all) until and after that point, so it really stuck out. Some people are taking that to mean that it wasn't just a conflict of interests that split them up.

If you could, could you animate this, I imagine Jon and Arin defeating SOPA.
Arin and Jon arrived at the lair of SOPA, easily walking through all the dangers.
They were fine until they encountered Sopanius, the leader of SOPA.
As they fought and fought, Arin began to wither away from the poison that Sopanius is giving off. While Jon is immune to this poison after purifying the Internet, he worries about Arin.
Arin then becomes weak, vulnerable to all attacks. Jon tries to distract Sopanius as much as he can, but when a SOPA supporter attacks Jon, Sopanius strikes Arin with a single blow.
Almost dead, Arin tries to crawl away to safety. "STILL ALIVE? YOU IDIOTIC LETS PLAYERS SHOULD ALL BE IN FLAMES." As Sopianus charges up to deliver a blow that would sure to kill someone, Jon kills the supporter and rushes to Arin.
"DIE!"
Sopianus striked, instead, Jon. Jon had sacrificed himself for his best friend, Arin.
"Jon, no...."
"It's okay Arin. I may die, but Game Grumps shall live on forever. Keep my legacy alive. Echh..."
"JON...NO!"
Arin, on his knees, surrenders, knowing he can't do this without Jon.
"~GAME GRUMPS~" Suddenly, he heard Jon's voice, along with million others.
"~GAME GRUMPS~" Then Suzy Berhow.
"~GAME GRUMPS~" Then Barry Kramer.
"~GAME GRUMPS~" Then Ross O' Donovan.
Arin felt empowered. He decided to finish this once and for all, for Jon.
"I WON'T LET JON'S DEATH BE IN VAIN! SOPANIUS, PREPARE TO BE PERISHED!"
Every swing was filled with strength, cracking the very armor Sopanius wore.
After the 10th swing, the armor broke.
"FOR THE GRUMPS!"
Arin had chopped off the head of Sopanius.
~Epilogue~
"Rest in piece Jon, good luck up there."
AxeToday I know this is a late response to your comment. But I just revisited the video and noticed and couldn't agree more. I struggled to find the right words to describe Jon's voice when he sings and happy is the best word. It's contagious. You kind of want it to rub off on you throughout the day.
It's only after listening to this, and the second one, a few times, that I've actually realised how amazingly well-crafted the music here is, Grump mix or not.
Seriously, there's some masterful shit going on here. Major awesome job to all three of you guys. :D

nice to see i'm not the only one who still thinks about jongrumps. for a few years ppl seemed to kind of forget/bury it but there really were some incredibly special and magical moments in the ~one year jon and arin ran the show. it was a different and more innocent online culture where people made art and loved video games for fun first and money second. obviously aspects aged quite poorly. but you can't cast aside the difference it made - these two rly made a lot of ppl really happy.
i'm 22 now but i was 14 then and they helped that kid feel safe when nothing else did. such a beautiful tribute - still come back to it all these years later

What a fun memory to relive! Just turned 30 this year, and going back to listen to something that brought so much joy from when I was 20 is actually insane. I used to watch Game Grumps during my lunch period, on a Blackberry at my dead end job when they were just starting the channel. Now, with my career starting, coming back here all these years later and reminiscing on all the good times these boys brought is such a joy. Not only to me, but obviously reading these comments sorted by newest, you can really see the long lasting effects content can have on somebody. We all have some sort of special connection and nostalgia tied to Game Grumps, and in turn this song as well. As many others have said already, thank you for creating such a wonderful time capsule for us to come back to years and years later.
Going deep in on some mushrooms all these years later, listening to this again. It's such an emotional rollercoaster. It's like summing up all the good memories of Jon in 8 minutes.
It still amazes me how three people that haven't really worked together before can collab like this. 3 years gone by and it's still just amazing to me how well your sounds blend together.
An ode to the greatest let's play era ever. I miss coming home from school and watching the new GG episodes instead of doing my homework lol.
I'll still love them without Jon, but damn.

Just noticed in this version, during JerryTerry's part Jon says "mother fronking" while on the standalone version on his channel Jon says "mother fucking." I wonder why that was changed.
It's actually "Mutha Grumpin."
I prefer to keep my channel profanity free. After talking it over with Jerrod and Tom, we thought it more creative with the addition of the word Grump.

What a fun time this was. I'm glad I got to experience the Jon era of Grumps when I did - Jon and Arin have changed a lot since these days. This remix really brings home that wistful nostalgic feeling, and I find myself coming back to it at least once a year

"YAH! *crowd shout* YAH! *crowd shouts and jumps* and then the truly epic performance begins. Curse my lack of drawing and animating ability else I'd animate the fuck outta dat.

I figure, it affects me so much because of who I was when I first listened to it and how it represents that period of time when the Game Grumps were basically my best friends (Bad 10th grade...)
For some reason I remember this period as so much happier than the one I am currently in. I kind of wish I could be the same person who listened to this years ago.

It feels so refreshing to come back to this gem. Feels like I can keep on living.
Nostalgia hits harder than any other emotion because it's a pain that, like the time we long for, we can't grab and hold. I would give ANYTHING to go back to the year this came out.
Still adore this so much all these years later.
Like others commented in recent years, it is kind of weird to think about this duo making a silly RUclips series making such a memorable impact on so many people and continues to live nostalgically in so many peoples' minds. Even though it was all less than a year, and the show continued on without barely a hiccup at the end of the day.
Life got crazy and, not to soapbox, but things happened that made me not such a big fan of either of the ol' Grumps (and people around them) since then, but I like to think that life just took us all in crazy directions that made things change, and that 11 months or so of these 2 guys making funny videos can be remembered as this fun thing that happened and got me to laugh so much.
Someone needs to make an animation to go with this.

When I hear things like this..It makes me realize how BIG Game Grumps Is. It's become so much freakin more than a "Let's Play" channel...It's an awesome extremely talented community of creators who get inspiration from a couple of great internet personalities. I mean..what I'm trying to say Is this is so damn cool. I'm amazed.

Game Grumps is still one if not the best gaming channel on youtube even after Jon left but as much as I know he's gone for good and I'm fine with that the relationship between Jon and Arin is something different that I don't think could ever be recreated again.
