You can say their music is manufactured but these girls are intelligent and have the ambition & drive that I can say nothing but RESPECT. Love it when they said "I want to be world's no1". I watched this three years ago, and even after three years, sunye's pronunciation never fails to amaze me. She sounds so fluent, and you can see that they memorized it instead of just reading off a piece of paper. They are amazing.

Most Chinese I know think mandarin sounds pleasant but cantonese sounds horrible. but a cantonese person might say the reverse! a lot of people that i know think that japanese and korean women speaking sound very cute though... this is just my observation, so don't blast me. But i've lived in just about every major city in the US and that's what I've experienced.

dead wrong. korean didn't originate at all from mandarin. korean is more tied to japanese and mongolian. chinese is a tonal language and the basis for vietnamese, thai, etc. i think the stars in korea a trained to speak chinese, japanese, and english for economic reasons. BUT korea does have chinese character based vocab words, which gives koreans an edge up when learning chinese. the grammar and sounds are totally different though. korean is more pleasant to listen to as is japanese.
