I commented on your last video asking for makeup related videos when you asked what videos we wanted to see, so obviously I was excited to see this! Also, looked up Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and her style because of your last video and I immediately bought a tortoiseshell headband because of her.
idk what camera you're using so I'm going out on a limb, but when I used Canon I could never get it to be true to color and it would wash out colors, especially skin tone- I've been more happy with Sony. And canon is more customizable for pros (which I am not) so it's made to be edited in post, so it's more gray initially. When I had a canon I ended up buying LUTs to make the color more vibrant in editing. (luts are like a filter but for video.) Ring lights are typically cool-toned so they can wash out the color. Natural light always looks the best to me. It's so hard to make artificial light look good.
