Well, there is no one stopping you from being a engineer. You could be a software engineer or possibly a electrical engineer. Those require very little physics, however you will need to out in a lot of work to actually make it.

Engineering is a field for evolution of techniques to sustain human existence and "survival of the fittest" and being on top of the food chain, it is difficult and complex field too consider. If you want money, go work for business and commerce works. An Engineer may not be the richest but is remembered for his good work for humanity like Nikola Tesla. I'm not hating people handling business and study them but there's a sad scene of people doing Engineering for a degree to get only money, so a better alternative is study commerce related stuff instead
So they think, draft and design basically I could do that but this sounds like a pain in the ass, I like tinkering with electronics, problem solving, designing and researching I just wish there was a way to test out this job before spending thousands in college, I'm calling this my backup backup plan.
Silly question, I know my IQ is between 115-130 (my parents don't want to tell me the exact number, I was tested twice.), can I be an engineer or should I go for something less mentally demanding? I'm looking into Mechatronic Engineering, or Bioengineering.
MrLappis it’s not your IQ that makes you good at high end jobs it’s the work that you put in your studies the IQ helps because you can accumulate more things in less time

I want to be an Engineer, but sometimes I think a lot of it is just hype, pride (not the good healthy type like integrity), Unnecessary over load of information and in a covert way sometimes bringing death to true creativity although they say you are suppose to be creative. I appreciate the lectures but I look at engineering as mostly history lessons. How about creating your own ways of solving problems sometimes with your own metric system. There is a singularity being taught I don't like and I believe all people are problem solvers at heart (engineers). Wasn't the math for some of these problems like flight, or airplane dimensions developed after the actual inventions?

But the sad part is that Engineers never get that much respect that a Entrepreneur, Doctor, Researcher or any Entertainer gets.
Thats probably because we live in a society where respect is extensively inclined towards the money one makes.
