Italian producer Antillas joins forces with singer Fiora, bringing you a heartfelt house anthem for the heartbroken, lovers and dance fanatics. 'Damaged' will surely bring some damage to the floor.
He's been acting out his love for music for more than 20 years, living the dream with more than 15 Top 15 UK hits and remixes for the likes of Tiësto, Conjure One, Michael Woods and more. In 2011, he signed to Armada Music Management, bringing us many new goodies for 2012.
One of them is 'Damaged', the follow-up to Lost Witness collab 'Chasing Rainbows'. 'Damaged' has the touching voice of singer Fiora, the smooth flow of prog-house melodies and the madness of highlight moments on the floor.
For those seeking even more diversity, there's the deep Breaks Mix, big-room Green & Falkner Mix, a dreamy prog remix of Dankann
and a full on trance electro remix from JS16 and Fiora. - Развлечения

Still so good.
Everytime I hear it, in a shop, from a club, nearby headphones..😁 I just can't help but look over and smile.
I just feel an energy, like waves you can see approaching your toes in the sand, and I have the urge to throw all my problems away, even for just that moment, and dance.
Free, happy, and completely unburdened.

THIS IS SICK!!!!!!!!!!FUAARKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!
Anyway, let's go back to this song "Damaged"
I'm sure we are aware of at least three different versions of this song.
The 1999 Plumb version
The 2003 Plummet version which Antillas has a remix on.
This 2012 version involving Antillas and Fiora.
The 2003 and 2012 versions are COVERS of the original 1999 version.
2003 and 2012 versions use two different vocalists (two different female singers) and the songs vary quite substantially in content.
Yeah, I mentioned the show "Glee" which features a lot of cover songs from artists like Britney Spears.
The original discussion was that artists like "Britney Spears" don't actually make the music - their producers do. And I stated that artists like Britney get writing credits for them. They all get credit though for making the song.
Cover songs SHOULD give credit back to the original artist (and in most cases, they do). If they don't, they are opening themselves against a lawsuit.
Different instruments in most cases mean different interpretation - sorry, you're totally off-base on that one.
You should be well-aware of classical music being a pianist - a lot of classic songs were intended for baroques - yet you have some songs being "converted" for pianos and other instruments.
Canon in D has so many interpretations, notably, the most common version is a sped-up version that you often hear at weddings.
I never said "if it's a remix, it's a remix". That makes no sense at all.
I explained WHY it is a remix.
It's OBVIOUS that Tiesto's Adagio from Strings is a song made from scratch. I do kinda agree with you that the song is "oversimplified" but Tiesto's intention is to pull out the most recognizable melody and use it as his chorus. He also produces the song using synths, among other instruments. It is clearly a COVER.
I have yet to hear about your sources that say the song is a remix.
"No notes changed" versus "notes changed" is an oversimplified distinction of what a cover and a remix is.
Have you listened to live music (not electronica)?
Lots of artists make covers of another artist. They're not called REMIXES. Remix is almost exclusively an electronica element.
Cover versions often are NOT repeats of the original. The melody might be almost identical but the notes are NOT the same.
Looking back at this comment again, I'm convinced that you're confused over what is a cover and a remix.
Playing a piece by Beethoven (with the exact notes) doesn't make it a cover. Now, if you re-wrote aspects of the song, THAT would make it a cover. (i.e. playing simplified versions of a song but not limited to just that).
A remix is using an existing version of a song and then adding creative elements ON TOP of the original song. A remix almost exclusively pertains to electronica.
Daft Punk (also a French House group) surely is better than Guetta (old or new). They made good music but have kept true to their sound, still staying relevant today without selling out like Guetta did. Guetta's songs are sing-a-long Karaoke pop songs, designed to be radio friendly.
No, this song is not a remix because the arrangements are different. It is completely made from scratch, even if the tune is the same. ATB's Let U Go is a perfect example - everyone knows that song.
They ALL give credit - at least the legitimate DJ/producers do. The credits are somewhere on the liners of the CD. I guarantee that they do because if they don't, they are very easy targets to sue.
Only person that I know that DOESN'T give credit is "DJ Mystik" when he sold CDs of songs underground that he ripped off somewhere and intentionally mislabelled all the songs, misrepresenting himself as the original artist. It was also mislabelled on Napster back in the day.
What's important for me is to keep the original message, which is an important thematic to deal with.
Armada Music put is name on a version which pretend to remix something I am sure they don't even know.
Just to let you know, Plumb was going to retire from her career, when she was given a letter wrote by a fan who told this song changed her life.
Then Plum didn't retire!
This song changed many people, especially women having problem in loving a man after being raped and abused.
@RAKELLEVI
The point is another and you didn't get it.
I know anyone can listen to anything he wants to.
But the music here is even good! And I'm not criticizing the music itself, but the meaning of the song which has been completely removed!
This song originally was against children sexual abuse.
This new version is something completely different and it's an ABUSE to make money and enjoy such a music version.
@TheIrufushi Who's to say that this is only about sexual assault?
The lyrics are general enough that it could be an abusive relationship which may or may not have involved sex, although it is most likely the former rather than the latter.
Where do you hear a "happy melody"? I don't hear any of the above you said. Granted, those sounds could also be placed on a heartfelt love song too.
Perhaps you are trying to say that the song could be "darker" in sound.
@tekron99 Only problem with your explanation is that the definition of "trance" today has changed. 90's trance sounds absolutely NOTHING like today's "trance". Old school trance listeners would say trance today is "poppy", back when trance relied much less on vocals and primarily on synthesized melodies.
As music has evolved, so has the understanding of musical genres. For example, would you call this "Eurodance"? Of course not.
This is EDM if you have to be exact.
Buddy, I never said it was a remix. Never. You're the one that called it a remix. It's a cover and I've always maintained that.
The vocalists are NOT the same. Are you even reading what I'm writing?
Stop twisting words - you are intentionally twisting them to make it look like I called it a remix. It was YOU.
@tekron99 Like I said above, just because it came from "trance" then, doesn't make it trance NOW.
That's like saying 1980-90's R&B songs are gospel and/or soul music.
Prog House, Prog Trance, Trance, Electro, House, Dubstep, Jumpstyle, Eurodance etc etc all fall under what is now called "EDM" or Electronic Dance Music.
Calling this trance is a travesty.
fucking amazing !!
A cover absolutely exists within electronica.
DJ Sammy - Heaven is a COVER of Bryan Adams - Heaven. You can't be serious and say this is a remix too?
Interpretation/improvisation is very loosely related to "remix" - a remix doesn't really exist outside electronica.
I agree although that wasn't my comment. I was not commenting about which singer was better than the other.
I was trying to explain some hints as to the differences of a cover and a remix because I feel Andreilg3 mixes up the two without him even realizing it.
It has been a rape of the original meaning!
The original song was against the sexual abuse!
Shame on you: you made a rape of the song.
Bad bad bad
:(
Armada Music can't let such a thing happen... You are destroying a masterpiece with this silly remix.
REMOVE IT PLEASE!
Why do people keep saying it's trance?
It even says in the description that it is a prog-house tune. o.O
I remember when trance and other electronica music was (erroneously) called "techno".
Now, everything else is called "trance".
Trance doesn't sound like this.
1999: Plumb - "Damaged"
1999-2003: Plummet - "Damaged", Dj X rendition plus various remixes
2003: Plummet - "Damaged 03", Antillas UK Remix (what got it popular)
2012: this bullshit.
Tiffany Arbuckle (aka Plumb), a Christian singer, wrote the original song in 1999 and provided the "heart", DJ X (Eric Muniz) recognized its dance/trance potential, and Antillas made a decent trance remix in 2003. Antillas' "updated" version of Damaged simply adds trendy sound to what he shouldn't take credit for.
Do people even know what the lyrics are about? The lyrics are conveying the invidualds thoughts on finding it difficult to express their feelings as they were sexually assaulted. The world they once lived in has completely reformed. Perception is such a illusion-ed forte when something so drastic has impacted on your life.
No happy melodies/chords/basslines should accompany the lyrics, something this production just narrowly misses...
Let me summarize.
Tiesto's version is written from scratch.
William Orbit makes a separate version, also from scratch.
Both of these are covers.
Ferry Corsten comes in and remixes William Orbit's version. Ferry does NOT make a single or bootleg.
It's not even the same vocalist. It's a cover, plain and simple. It's not a remix whatsoever.
Antillas already has made a remix on this song, a long time ago. That's a remix - modifying the original song.
@AWDracer Yes, you're right mate!!, I like this one, but I wouldn't call it 'trance', because it's progressive-house, maybe progressive-trance or 'cheese'...whatever, good times for trance were many years ago, even when today there's a list of great tracks from great DJ's too. Greetings from Mexico.
2020, still good
Noraneko87 I completely agree. Not to often you see a song about not being able to recover from childhood sexual abuse turned into a dance song. Though I think in many ways they cheapened it by making it more less into a run of the mill love song.
@solarwind1980 I am Italian and I can tell you that I HATE Italo-dance music :D
I'm really proud of Antillas and other italian djs like him that produce prog-house and trance!
Because labeling allows for easy grouping of alike of alike music allowing for people to find more music they love quicker. Why such an easy concept has to be subject of so many fruitless internet arguments, beats me.
this song too sick, i feel sad that it has little views ;(
but i know this artist has skill so i know he will gett shine soon,
also i want to say to check out 187kony,
pretty sick track to mix this with, much love T!NO
@GiorgeiX lol if u dnt like it go and listen something else!lol why take something that i and others like???!!! do y know what is a free world???? if you dnt go and ask armada what it is!! lol u jokes !!!
Clearly, the song is about a woman who is damaged. It is open to interpretation. Family abuse, sexual assault, relationship problems, etc etc.
Remade Plummet's track? Sounds awesome, yet Antillas remix of the original Plummet's Damaged is way better. But I am purely looking forward for this track.
I've never heard the 2003 version, just the original 1999 version from Plumb...er, interesting subject matter to turn into a dance song o.0
I will give the person who finds me this song with out Fiora a super cyber high five...
Does anyone know if a version with out her exists?
it still...doesnt beat the previous antillas remix for damaged...but...it doesn t matter...it s another vershion, fresh..and MASSIVE!!!!
@TheMohamedelghayaty finaly some1 says something right!!!!!!!!!!!!prog house at his best but still with a tiny trance hint!!
@xGiiKLaa How you even dare to offend trance music like this!!! you shoould be ashamed, you're what's wrong with this genre.
wow for the music culture.... Plummet in 2003 was a simple cover of Plumb from 1999!!
how much ignorant people around...
Plummet-Damaged (2005) best version !!
I heard this track in the Paul Oakenfold's CD We are planet perfecto vol. II... and I liked so much!!! :D
Listening to EDM while watching Porn is actually a surprisingly good pairing. No trolling, try it out sometime.
This song
@tekron99 DJmag instantly loses credibility by having David Guetta as number one.
Just sayin'.
I have been rocking this jam since dance factory level 1 before all these bullshit mainstream doovers
this is just such an amazing track. i love it.
This was originally released back in 2002 by Plummet. Antillas did a remix of it. Do a search
@Tranceroful This sounds like Progressive House with electro influences - not trance.
Europe love Armada and Amsterdam,Pilotenstraat, Amsterdam
@tekron99 ..hence the reason david guetta is number 1 in djmag now .. and not armin....
@jkslol This isn't dubstep, this is trance
For dubstep check out Skrillex ;)
The bass freakin' hits!
2020
I prefer the other one...why didnt they make htis with the original vocals ;(
I dont know about you guys, but this is my 64th playthough in 7 hours...
wiesz chociaż zo znaczy to słowo ,,Ciota" ? jeżeli nie to się nim nie posługuj a jeżeli już to spytaj się taty kto to taki -.-
Can anyone says the big difference between genres? Its all music so wtf...
This song... Antillas and Fiora i am in state of trance...
PEOPLE, THAT IS FUCKING AMAZING!! LET'S ROCK THAT SHIT FOR EVER
I remember the original, this track isnt good as the 1999 version
because if we didn't my itunes library would be a big fucking mess.
The only problem with this song is that it isnt loud enough....
Amazing prog-house!!!!!I feel you in me!!!!!!!!!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
