I once was privileged to meet the eyes of a Beluga whale 20" away through glass barrier of aquarium tank in Tacoma, WA. A highlight of my life. Thank you for sharing this with us !
It passes over my house twice a day... I'm only 10 miles from the Airbus factory in north Wales so it's still quite low at the time.. a great sight 🏴👍
Likewise, it would be incredible to see. The crowds these marvels of aviation technology attract and fascinate young and old alike. I was curious about the preparation for this landing. Reflecting 2010 the Antonov AN124 landed at our Kelowna International Airport. At the time it was the largest aircraft to have ever landed here, the Boeing landed a few years later. The flights diverted before and after the landing/take off surprised people at the time because the the air turbulence from engines blew up dust etc and there were runway and clean up crews checking to ensure there were no hazards on the runway which would endanger future landings. Cleanup wasn't quite complete and there were lots of gasps as a later flight descending to the beginning of the runway was thrust into take off when it was told to abort landing. The landing at 6:00 AM, the crowd size and people here and from far a afield to view were unlike any crowds to view our Canadian Snowbird arrivals/departures.
I worked at Broughton for 30 years before finishing at Christmas 2020. When I first started, the wings were transported via road to Manchester airport and then on a Super Guppy to Toulouse and Hamburg. The first Belugas were converted A300s. This latest version is a converted A330. The Belugas fly out of Hawarden Airport, which is on the Broughton site.
I can’t believe it … I thought it was fiction when I saw the picture… wow 🤩 how amazing is that … didn’t need a long runway … carries lots of people … pilots sit low 😂… and looks like a dolphin … 😻
The wings to me appear undersized. But I too would expect it to have more airfoil with two additional engines. If one goes down, it seems as if it'd not be able to stay airborn.

Ok I admit I know nothing about plane design and was to proud to admit it but first thing the kids said was must be dark inside, so ok I am going to say what’s on everyones lips ? where are the windows ?
Airbus plane and just cargo! But now you make me wonder "what-if" this were a passenger plane for bragging rights of flying a Dolphin plane, LOL! Thx for watching!
Sorry, but that looks an awful design…not streamlined at all! That large flat fronted head will surely hold the plane back and warrant it using more fuel in the process?, it calls it an airbus, buy no Windows??? So what does it carry?

Not a plane enthusiast but Beluga looks Fabulous to me. Nice to see a happy face in the sky, cargo with a smile.
Hope not build to spread qimtrails ...

oh wow thanks for sharing & watching!
very smooth landing... super !!

WOW lucky you seeing it so often!
It's HUGE, no windows, the cockpit looks like a whale's mouth. I think my flying holidays are over, I wouldn't want to go in that airplane.
Nice one. Thanks for sharing.😊🙏
Thanks for watching
What a beautiful sight…….❤
Amazing what Human Mind can Accomplish with Technology Bravo Airbus.
I think it's adorable 😊
I love following your story! I'm a fan in Gatlinburg Tennessee, Great Smoky Mountains! ❤😊
Awesome! Thank you!
What a great looking plane..
Wow thats a cool bird
Its a dolphin/whale/bird/plane lol
LOL its Beluga Bird! ;)
I live in Merseyside and see it most days as it gently passes over on the way to Broughton ❤
I hope this beauty comes to Canada because that would be a sight to see for plane spotters
Please I hope so and Vancouver would be nice with its great spotting locations! Glad you watched.
@TheAvGeekSpotter same with Calgary and Edmonton

Nice film, now the Beluga is in my town Airport Amsterdam, have a great day, greetings from Roy
I've seen Beluga's everywhere on youtube since it's historic Heathrow arrival! #AviationVibes :)
Fantastic 👏
Thanks for the visit
awesome … thank you 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching hope you subscribed for future vids!

Very cool to hear. Thx for watching.
Was laughing at it at first glance,by the time it landed it had grown on me.What a cool looking airplane!
Beluga is a beautiful!
Great Video.. Thanks
You're welcome!
I love it, it’s gorgeous ❤❤❤
Beluga " A Whale Of A Size " Welcome To Heathrow " BRAVO "
MAGNIFICENT.... BEHOLD WHAT MAN CAN DO...
One of these planes flew 100 ft above me on its descent at Deeside ,awesome experience.
👌👌👌 Beluga 👍
what a fabulous plane, a credit to all the builders, can we see more, these are planes of the future, carry on building.
I'm gonna try and publish more soon, stay tuned & thanks for subscribing and watching!
My son was right, since little he use to say the airplanes looked like 🐳🐳🐳🐳🐳 whales in the air........
LOL! ;)
Free Willy on air!
LMAO! Luv that comment.
I wonder what is going to transport, foam?. That was a hard landing, good pilots.
Seems big enough to transport most anything! 🤷🏻♂️
Wonder what the pilots thought when they heard they were going to paint their cool plane to look like a big smiley dolphin?
I'm sur they had a wale of a time.😂❤
@@patrickmcardle4771 And there was cynical old me thinking they would be realy f f f flippered off..
That is a dolphin
Um, that is a beluga with the wide smiley face and bulging forehead. The dolphin has, albeit also smiley, a narrow, longish, pointy face.
@@denysedubois9334 a smiley face … isn’t that amazing… I wonder if they really are happy…?
Oh I think that plane is cute is my favorite whale.
The right name for this type of dolphin is not Beluga, but BELUKHA. Beluga is a big sturgeon, famous for its black caviar.
LOL good to know. Never had black caviar.
I see stickers for Megabus on Stagecoach busses
you want to see it when the front opens up like a mouth , then the wings come out of the shed on a massive trailer and in the baluga they go
Exactly - go to my shorter vid here to see the front open! Thx for watching. ruclips.net/video/X-DgfI6_Hoc/видео.htmlsi=iYFyzQc9oY8OogHS
@@TheAvGeekSpotter iv seen them right in front of me when i was building the new shed

#pinchmemoment seeing it in person
Nice
Looks like a Smiling Dolphin 🐬 from the Front
LOL I agree! Makes it more cute vs. intimidating given it's size. Thx for watching.
Beluga ? Wonder what country that is from? That was beautiful, but a bit sad to see her fly off so soon.
AvGeek’s alike find it interesting this plane hadn’t been to Heathrow b4 or makes regular appearances!
Красавчик ❤
спасибо за просмотр
I mean if ya gonna fly something ,,,make it a Beluga ! Js
I thought it would have 2 or 3 engines on each wing?
Just imagine a bigger version 🤗👍😍
The wings to me appear undersized.
But I too would expect it to have more airfoil with two additional engines.
If one goes down, it seems as if it'd not be able to stay airborn.
Where does it fly from and too?
At least all over Europe far as I know. Any other experts know the routes out there?
@@TheAvGeekSpotter From all of Airbuses factories around Europe, to its assembly plant at Toulouse Airport. When you fly there, the facility is on the edge of the airport.

From here to there
It is the SEXIEST cargo plane ever built.
Dude this is your first video to blow up 😮🫡
Exactly!! 🙏🤞🥹🤯 glad you watched hope you subscribed there’s more to come! Broke over 100K in the last 24 hours, wow!
Dependent on weather it can be seen flying east over Sheffield to Europe destinations
Why, pray tell, did you skip the unloading of the huge tail part?
So what oversized cargo was it carrying?
British Airways tail part! Pretty huge part I hear.
An amazon parcel containing a box of matches
Can’t believe that plane is full of Caviar!
LOL, Caviar for all! ;)
No windows??
not for cargo plane! Thanks for watching!
Is it passenger flight?. Or cargo flight?.
Cargo thx for watching
Do you see any windows in it ??
Need to see the Antonov An-225 Mriya from the Soviet Union
Ok I admit I know nothing about plane design and was to proud to admit it but first thing the kids said was must be dark inside,
so ok I am going to say what’s on everyones lips
? where are the windows ?
Yea I’ve seen others comment here and on other channels but no mas windows when it’s mere cargo vs. people. Well except the pilots.
No windows ?.
Some how size of body size of engine Size of wings and size of wheels .
I've always thought the engines look disproportionate to the body but they get the job done.
No water canons ?
I know, right!
They should of done the water canons for sure. But is that an American thing?
Umm where are the windows? And doors?
What if you fill its big bulb with a mixture of helium and hydrogen ?
Beluga plane lands at Heathrow, why?
Part delivery for a damaged horizontal tail of a British Airways A350.
@@TheAvGeekSpotter thank you👍
Why don't you mention more about the difference, you don't see where pilots are, it's funny looking one
Who owns it?
Airbus
Why did they design it like that?
To fit the plane parts cargo. Thanks for watching!
i guess it looks like a whale but i first thought dolphin
I imagine that would be tough to land in a high cross wind😊
Why call it Beluga when it looks like a dolphin not a whale.
Allso😂 all the airport staff stood watching😊
Ever seen what beluga whale looks like?
@gerap31337 just looked em up🤣🤣.I look a right c#nt now don't I 🤣🤣🤣
@@JohnJohn-cu7nk i can see the confusion 😂
The engines are too small. It will never fly!!! Opps.
Is it a passenger plane ? I don't see any windows..... Or cargo ?....... Who made it ,it sounds french......
Airbus plane and just cargo! But now you make me wonder "what-if" this were a passenger plane for bragging rights of flying a Dolphin plane, LOL! Thx for watching!
What an ugly looking plane 😂😂😂
That is one ugly looking aircraft
It's aesthetically unpleasing... Like the ugly duckling !
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder😅
Beauty in the eye of the beholder I guess! Thanks for watching.
That is one ugly looking plane ! Technically it may be great , but from a design perspective , yikes!
LOL I hear ya! The Boeing Dreamlifter to me seems even lesser attractive than the Beluga but they get the job done I guess. Thx for watching.
It has been designed for a purpose, carrying airplane parts for Airbus
It looks horrific
Sorry, but that looks an awful design…not streamlined at all! That large flat fronted head will surely hold the plane back and warrant it using more fuel in the process?, it calls it an airbus, buy no Windows??? So what does it carry?
carries just cargo not people so really no windows needed for boxes and crates etc. Thanks for watching
