Lmao. It's a classic "It 👏 just 👏 works 👏" moment from Godd Howard.
Even if it wasn't bugged, most people wouldn't take it, unlike it's brother perk, Stonewall that is very valuable giving you +5 DT (regardless of what you're wearing) vs the most common type of dmg aka melee and unarmed weapons (including animals, monsters, mutants and robots melee attacks), also giving you a nice bonus of having knockdown immunity (good vs both melee and explosives)
This perk just doesn't give you enough value to justify itself in most situations, energy weapons are very uncommon unless you plan on fighting the brotherhood, the van graphs and/or big mountain robots on a daily basis, with no bonus secondary effect like stonewall has
The chances of you encountering Enemies with Energy Weapons is not that high. Except for the Van Graff's (If you choose to eliminate them) you will probably not encounter many Energy Weapons wielder so this Perk is not that good anyways.
ok but even if it would work its like a piss in an ocean, I hate when games have this "new skill" that gives you +0.00000001% to your whatever, its like telling you that you`ve spent all this time level for absolutely nothing.
Obsidian still managed to make a better game than Fallout 3 and 4 in just 10 months
Good to know, currently playing NV for the morbillionth time so I won’t take this.
Not a bug, just bad coding. There’s a difference.
And I bet the devs have never bothered to fix this.
Jerks!
Shittesda sucks, even when Obsidian fucks up they still leave with a better product, seethe bethesdadrones
Yeah it just felt too situational, too early for it to be useful, and not strong enough to justify it over other perks by the time you get power armor.
And the bug was never patched. Along with every other bug in the game unfortunately
They´re a small indie company, you can´t expect them to fix something of this magnitude in 10 years even if the entire playerbase has known about it since 1.01.
That is so braindead. This can be fixed in 5 minutes. All it takes is one or two people to fix this. Not to mention it most definitely is not a small indie company. They have more than enough hands to fix this bug. They simply chose not to.
Unnoficial patch users: 😎
Aw yeah~
This is why you use enums or consts instead of just strings. This is abhorrent code
I think Fallout nv unofficial patch fixed this. Pc only of course
How hard would it be to just go into the files yourself and change that single line?
Im sure theres a mod patch if u really cared for this perk
It should actually make the beams ricochet and hit other enemies
Still waiting for the “weapons” patch
nooo don't tell new vegas fans that their game is a buggy mess
bros don't even know how to code their own game
Should we fix simple bugs that require retyping one single word? Nah, let’s spend years adding five DLCs and leave the base game’s problems untouched.
Did those unofficial patch mods patched that bug?
To be fair,as a NV fan,i say
This fucking sucks!
Never base your fight style off a perk
Sounds like a posible simple fix, just replace some code, test and nada bing Bada boom onto nexus mods it goes.
You're not wrong, already done a long time ago.
