I guess what we see here is the passing conversation of the two giant humanoids from the intro one of them is now the world and the others breath created and animated all the creatures in it the player character is their child but it is afflicted with a spiraling darkness that everyone refers to as Akhlan Shidra of the Worldpillar is the being of the vertebrae and is connected to the brain of the motherbody, while the Coda take shape from the seeping, wax-like substance that descends from the pale sky into the hollow beneath the Carvers worship the Coda for their proportions and aspire to be like them, harvesting the Wax to accentuate and improve their features but it has only an optical effect in escaping the old pain I wonder if all the other black voids we see in the ending were remnants of such micro-cosmoses as well I just love the world building in this game, so abstract, so artful, brilliant!
it´s not so bad actually, your health refills automatically so you don´t have to do it from the beginning since you cannot really die as long as you are in there
