+bign3ck There was recently a deal made between Stories Entertainment and Sega to adapt a number of their franchises for live action and animation, and this was one of the titles in the portfolio, so it might be happening. I love these sort of videos. Reminds me of games on the arcade machines where I never had the chance to complete but always wondered how they did.
AND where people play for fun, not for a perfect run or speedrun, and do not mind loosing a life/energy as that was part of the game. How it USED to be.
in the level fighting the rhino just noticed the thinking man statue and the scream 😱 in the foreground
william nicoll
Oh shit, good eye
This would make a good movie, Greek mythology, beast man, evil wizard. Like a greek lord of the rings.
+bign3ck There was recently a deal made between Stories Entertainment and Sega to adapt a number of their franchises for live action and animation, and this was one of the titles in the portfolio, so it might be happening. Shinobi was another, and I especially can't wait for that, this one, and Virtua Fighter!
Haohmaru Of The Wind Wasn't that by Data east?
Haohmaru Of The Wind
I'm pretty sure Shadow Dancer is a Shinobi game.
Ryan Dartez My mistake, it is Sega. Loved that game.
Ryan Dartez How disappointed were you when you found out the first live action movie is the Sonic one?
Dude, I used to love this game as a kid in the arcades. This and Street Fighter 2 took all my lunch money.
my mum bought this game for me after i had a knee surgery in 1988.. so i remember when this game release
wow that's cool your mum bought you an arcade machine.
Something similar happened to me lol 🤔
For some reason even though I was born in 2004 my mum bought me a megadrive. It was weird as well because the controller was blue and the console was a black cube with a power button and red light. I still haven’t been able to find what she bought me. It didn’t even have a cartridge slot.
I like how confidently he says "welcome to your doom" after being defeated every single time. That kinda spirit you gotta admire. Last iteration of the boss battle should definitely show them getting those beers.
As a kid tho I saw the first boss at a friend's place, we must've been 8 or so. I tried to explain to my folks what I had seen and why it scared me so much, but they just couldn't comprehend wtf I was saying- and tbh who can blame em.
SAME THO. this game terrified me when i was little.
Well, it's just a giant red horned monster emerging from a pile of corpse, rapidly beheading himself multiple times and throwing his heads with open jaws at you trying to eat you alive 🤣🤣🤣
Damn y’all were little bitches as kids how was this game scary 😂
The kind of game which scares and amazes at the same time.
I felt this mix of feelings first whit Altered Beast and later with Contra 3 and Mortal Kombat.
#doomshop
This was always one of my favorite games to play with my mom when I was a little kid. My favorite is the eyeball monster.
Time to go watch Golden Axe.
I was addicted to this game, glad someone finally posted a play through.
My favorite beast form is the bear, I love how it had the power of Medusa.
I remember playing the Genesis port back in 91/92 on the Genesis 1 and 2
I remember being slightly scared yet excited when my older cousins played this.. They never let me play but watching them was the coolest thing ever.
Remember this game from the horrible audio we had at home... everytime the boss encounter started... "WELCOMEEEEEE TO YOUR DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMAAAAAAH"
+Nonehasthisnamekek1 Never understood why arcade ports were always so shitty. Turtles in Time turned out great, but that's the only one I can immediately think of. What is so goddamn difficult about putting this stuff on a home console?
That ending, lol
Funny ain't it?
everyone was raising their beer at the end lol
You mean "Furry, ain't it?"
Alex K.
Nothing wrong with interspecies love but only if it's magical creature being (ala mer-person or vampire or gargoyle or in this case that man-wolf), alien, humanoid being or monster being.
Johnlindsey289 he got them from the graves to save his daughter not have interspecies sex with her
The first boss should have been the final boss. He looks terrifying and unique. The final boss looks kind of underwhelming.
I never understood why the white wolves souls made you turn into different beasts... it makes sense only in the first stage, where you turn into a wolfman, but they should have used different animals in the other stages since you turn into a dragon, and so on
I think they're cows, they're cpws aren't they.
JHI double headed wolves, also known as cows yeah
ansiaaa666 Man I always thought they were cows
Most of my childhood is ruined.
JHI You're not alone. I always thought they were cows or an ox of some kind too.
because they're powerful. people today dont understand symbolism... it has the orb you need, go get it and level up. only they have it. its the same with many other cultures about how one certain thing will help you in some way. be it lucky charm, a certain food, enchanted items, etc.
These dudes serious? Kicking zombies in the nuts
I remember when this came out, one of the hardest games to beat especially with limited lives.
We need a HD remake of this game or a new Altered Beast for today generation.
I remember playing altered beast in ps2 back in 2005.
Broke Guy will it happens one day a new remake of altered beast where the transformations are more gorier than the ps2 remake ?
Transformation scenes used CGI
markus martin but it wasn’t available for the American market
Naw hell naw somethings need to stay original
I used to be able to beat this game in like 15 minutes. The game has locations when at the final bosses of each game in which they can't hit you as your attacking.
That end credit with the characters coming out of costume to drink. Excellent
I never beat the game, and for years, thought the head that takes your powers at the end of each level was the final boss. I was wrong...
I don’t remember it being this easy I’m 33 and let me tell you this just about made me tear up I spent hours on this game thank you so much 😊 bless you brother
Edit;
I get to the end and realize it was made the year I was born lol that’s why I liked it so much when I was 6
Wow. As a kid I played this on the sega megadrive but never completed it. I found it so hard! This is the first time I’ve seen it all the way through!
Same bro brings back hella memories 😅
Nice gameplay. This game was as hard as hell back in 90's.
eh it was decent
Buddakan was it? Remember that? Like Buster Douglas times. Lol
3:08 Golden Axe creature. You can mount it and hit with it`s tail!!
Yoshi before yoshi
I first found this game in 1988 in Spain at Xmas on arcade when I was 6 and on holiday 😂😂❤️❤️
13:08 me and the Bois back in the good old days!
Lol
Coolest werewolves ever! I always loved the arcade and Sega Genesis versions. Arcade Werewolves do a Hadoken while Genesis ones shoot by punching. And I like that they speed kick in this version compared to the speed charge in the genesis version.
Played the hell out of this game on the Genesis. It was definitely addictable.
In the first scenario, it's funny how you see crosses when it's a game taking place in the Greek Mythology.
This game used to scare the shit outa me when I was 5
I would want my dad to help me fight these lol
Lol I used to love this what scared me when I was little was Ghost N Ghouls for some reason.
Till this day one of my favorite sega games. Followed by golden axe
I thought it was cool as a kid but...what a crazy ass game
***** Honestly as an adult if you think about the premise, Mario seems like an incredible acid trip, or perhaps more accurately, the best mushroom hallucination ever.
What a great game, brings back so many memories. Thanks for posting.
I just found a vintage Sega tshirt with the wolf power-up head on it and man, core memory unlocked. I almost thought I had dreamt the game, it’s been that long. 12 year old me on school skate night at the roller rink dropping ALL my allowance to dominate on this game!
In the genesis version the voice at the start is butchered beyond belief, but in this version, god damn, Zeus sounds so freakin noble!
Wise frwm yowr gwave
The welcome to your doom is worse
