Have they ever told us how Dempsey Takeo and Nikolai got to The Giant without Richthofen? They went from clueless soldiers in Origins to knowing about the multiverse and traveling between dimensions two years later. Did they ever say how they got there and how they knew enough to formulate a plan?
Because in the original timeline the characters never go to Alpha Omega, the Avagadro is always contained in the APD because the crew goes to GK instead. Remember this story branches off the timeline, so whatever happens here hasn't happened before. The Avagadro in Tranzit is just simply the sample Russman exported to Hanford.
FINALLY, someone who understands how this works! A lot of people are confused right now and i’m kind of concerned their understanding of the story will hinder how they view the ending.

Hey Reed I was wondering if you have plans to comment on the fact PRIMIS Richtofen is VERY suspicious in Alpha Omega in how he acts and talks to the other characters. It seems like he could possibly be under the control of someone else (Monty or Shadowman?) plus he even references the fact he still has his blood vials and tries to divert attention away from them and himself

His theory doesn’t make sense and has no ther evidence to apart from linking richtofens weird behavior to the shadowman

Well uh, they only referred to the Avogadro as the entity prior to it being transferred to Hanford, because if I’m understanding this correctly, Pernell claims to be the Avogadro (possibly for the first time ever) when he is released by Ultimis/Primis, and it’s also possible that the events are apart of the original dimensions timeline.
There’s also the possibility that yes, they transferred the Avogadro on July 8th to Hanford, where they discover the existence of the Avogadro, and they claim that they created him because technically they did (using the power of the APD, which they in fact created). With its first manifestation/physical form ever presented happening directly in Alpha Omega, one could say that yes, the Avogadro was born on that day. Broken arrow could’ve then used the Avogadro as a possible resource for energy possibly for however long they stayed in business, after the missiles fell **I looked at the timeline, and it would appear that broken arrow disbanded in November 2025, which doesn’t explain his weakness, but he was dormant for 10 years, and it’s possible he was continuously providing power to Hanford site (which could explain why he’s so weak in Tranzit).
If Alpha Omega occurs in the original timeline, and happens on July 8, 2025, it would in turn possibly make sense with the nuke going off to destroy the facility, after the Avogadro was let loose momentarily. With the nuke going off, government officials eventually investigate the site, and discover the presence of zombies. They send in operatives belonging to either the CDC or the FBI to contain said outbreak, only to be obliterated by the missiles from the moon.
Didn’t Rushmore say during the initiation sequence, that he would use the teleporters to send him to Hanford site? My biggest guess is that the electric mechanism that we used in order to power the town of TranZit, was reliant on the Avogadro being there. What ever Broken Arrow had to do at the Hanford site, they knew they could maybe manipulate the powers of Pernell.

You make a good point about how it's only showing "how" it could happen, not how it did happen in the initial Tranzit we played through. I have made this point before, but its one of those that is easy to forget when trying to connect this tangled plot together for sure. I also think it is a fundamental theme in this story that should be given way more attention in the community because it is basically saying that no matter how hard you fight against destiny with free will, the universe will find a way to balance your actions against it eventually. Very nice video Reed. Keep up the deep dives.
Hey Reed, I think I found a contradiction in the timeline thanks to Alpha Omega. Lemme know what you think.
Cornelius Pernell makes a personal log entry on September 3rd, 1963 about creating the Broken Arrow program after dissatisfaction with Majestic 12 and the DOD's treatment of Element 115 testing (this was a Classified punch card). On the official timeline released in 2016, the Broken Arrow program wasn't made until November 19th, 1963, as a reaction to the events of "Five". You could justify that maybe he proposed the idea, or thought of it in September, and it was approved in November. That's plausible, and that's the explanation I'm believing.
But what doesn't make sense is how, on August 11th, 1973, "Broken Arrow recovers a shard of Element 115 from Division 9" (ZC Timeline), but multiple radios taking place before June 1st, 1964 involve the usage of the exact same Shard (Alpha Omega). It can't have been multiple Shards, because there's only one, right? (two if you technically count the fact that the shard later got snapped in half).
And I doubt that this means that it all just took place in a different timeline to the main one, because if Russman and Barkley infiltrated Camp Edward to send the Avogadro sample, then the events of the Classified and Alpha Omega radios must have happened for Camp Edward to exist.
EDIT: To tack on as clarity, I think that the radios from Russman take place in the cycle, and the easter egg ending takes place outside the cycle. Which would mean the radio is the real reason why the Avogadro is in TranZit.

What if that 115 shard is just a piece of 115 and the elemental shard was procured through other means? The US had to have obtained 115 prior to testing with the shard so that they could understand the difference between it and the 115 used by the germans (radios with Dr. Hale saying 115 reanimates, but eleshard actually gives life/soul)
But wait, how is there no talk of the nuketown drill in AO?

What if the timeline in Classified and Alpha Omega is the one where Richtofen wins the Buried endgame since the Maxis endgame is a part of the cycle while the Richtofen endgame takes place in the broken cycle timeline?

...Hm... The '68 incident could've been when Pernell first became the entity (transcended his human body for an electrical one) and, in that moment due to being in the APD with his telepathic link to 115-exposed...things.... caused that 'incident'. When the power was cut, his telepathic link would've been severed, thus the incident was contained and the site abandoned, but he was trapped in the APD in stasis until we come along in the year 20-blipity-blah and turn the power back on, the date he assumes the name Avogadro only to be transferred to Washington State to sit in prison/stasis again for another decade until Tranzit's power is kicked on. Kind of makes sense considering Rushmore has been offline since the 60s, still thinking the cold war is in full swing.
Does anyone ever wonder what tranzit would of been like what they wanted to actually do. But because of time and console spec restrictions. Better colour scheme, no fog, no denisons, better PP mehtod and more features ending with a Avogadro boss fight, it could of been quite good.
@@pacman7395 yes it did they came out and said so, console restrictions couldnt handle what they wanted hence why so much fog was implemented as graphics couldnt render in properly. Of course it would be better near enough everyone agrees. For starters it would look and play alot better.
How did the cycle break exactly? Like I know it was broken in BOTD and that is why Richtofen and the rest of the primis crew were “late” according to another richtofen in the intro cutscene but what exactly caused them to be late and to be teleported into another part of alcatraz?

The big question on my mind-
If the Khronorium relays one's future, Primus Richtofen could very well still be in 'control', having foreseen that Nikolai needed to follow through his relative quest in order to set Primus Richtofen on his own desired path. Just another prerequisite. This would also challenge Blundell's earlier pokes at 'we should trust Richtofen more'.

I love the amount of info we're getting off the map. If the map itself can't sustain us then all of this lore should. I hope I leave.
Also, i wanted to ask you if you had ever considered that maybe Shang Ri La was connected to Teotihuacan and the real life pyramid of the moon (looks like it was definitely an inspiration for the MPD). The pyramid of the moon was located in the ancient San Juan portion of Mexico and was conveniently at the end of the Avenue of the Dead. They used this pyramid to sacrifice animals and humans around in its earliest days. After some change in ideology, they built a giant altar on top of the pyramid for more occult styled sacrifice rituals to the Great Goddess of Teotihuacan, a goddess specific only to these people in this city at this time. I find all the connections and similarities to Sam, the MPD, Moon and Shangri La very fascinating and worth just checking out as a zombies fan if you haven't before.
Does that mean that Pernell isn’t that the avagadro in the normal cycle? And also broken arrow “created” the avagadro. How could they create it if Pernell turned himself into the avagadroo
Here's what I think. Treyarch should have never released the timeline before they finished the entire story. It's really only caused more confusion and discrepancies and created more questions rather than answers.
However, I also think some things that happen that aren't on the timeline poster (like Classified minus Primis showing up at the end) still happen in the cycle. The timeline poster was just a page from the Kronorium that Richtofen read. So it only shows him what he needs to see. He doesn't need to see EVERY detail that happens in the cycle when it doesn't relate to him.
And for a real world explanation of why I think this, the timeline limited the writers. They still might've had stories or holes to fill in the "cycle" part of the story (which Blundell said Classified did). But now with a timeline poster, everyone assumes that if it's not stated on there, it didn't happen. The writers might not share this mindset and still want to show us some things that happened which they didn't write on the timeline

No one assumes that just because it’s not on the timeline it didn’t happen, and a lot of our understanding of BO4 would be impossible without it. And just to confirm for you, Classified DOES take place in the original timeline, but Primis only shows up once Blood happens and the cycle is broken. The radios and all the other events in Alpha Omega are also canon to the og universe but obviously Ultimis and Primis never show up and do their stuff until once again, the cycle is broken.
@@TheSkr701 I feel like there are a good amount of people that do assume this though. Some youtubers have even gone as far as to say that Classified only happens in the broken cycle timeline. Though I do agree with you that the timeline does help with comprehension of themes going on in BO4. I just feel like it limited story telling in a few ways
Also, the events of Alpha Omega being canon to the og universe is in the air, thats what the end of Reed's video is saying. As an example, the timeline says the Avogadro was created in 2025 but in this map we hear through radios that he was created in the 60s. It's all just very ambiguous and touchy
I think the radio explains that russman and barkley teleport the avogodro to the hanford site inside the original cycle timeline. Now that weve broken the cycle were no longer in that timeline. Thus different events unfold

Russman said the Elemental Shard gives you a headache when you stare at it. Nikolai and everyone else didnt get a headache.
Alpha Omega takes place outside of the cycle, therefore this does not take place in the original universe. It think it’s pretty clear the Avogadro from Tranzit is a fragmented version sent by Russman. I think the reason we send it to Hanford is simple. It’s the only other place designed to hold it. The Avogadro only appearing in Tranzit due to the events of this map would’ve broken the timeline and caused a major plothole. The Russman radios exist to remove that plothole and explain WHY the Avogadro was different in Tranzit.

I think they mean that Pernell becomes the avogadro in the 60s. And then broken arrow in 2025 sends a sample of the avogadro to the hanford site. And since the radio says july 6th 2025, and the avogadro gets created on july 8th, they mean the sample of the avogadro evolves in bo2 tranzit handford site.
I think it's just a mistake that it said "The avogadro". It could have said "An avogadro gets created at the handford site july 8th."

It sounds so simple, maybe just through some copper wires but in reality it's such a more convoluted way. I think the team might have released the timeline too early or they decided to go against it.
Hey Reed, what probably happened was that when the cycle broke it just caused more events to change as a side effect, so now the sample they sent in the broken cycle timeline doesn’t become an Avogadro while in the cycle it does. The Avogadro probably was always going to end up in tranzit but how it does somehow changed because of the cycle breaking

I think the radios are taking place within the cycle this would also explain the radio with Yuri saying Samantha will attack when there is a “big boom” and that Pernell will be there during this attack, this doesn’t line up with what happens in the broken cycle timeline, here he is teleported away before she attacks

What’s at the center of the Avogadro? Is that the other half of the elemental shard or just concentrated electricity?
Original Timeline: Russman transports Pernell sample to Handford, Handford scientists create a much more dumbed down Avagadro two days later, and Pernell is forever left within the APD.
Broken Cycle Timeline: Pernell(aka full-power Avagadro) is sent to Handford sometime between July 7th and October 12th 2025. And unless AO takes place on July 7th and maybe the 8th, that means that both Avagadro’s would be running around wrecking havoc at Handford. The only thing I can think of that puts the theory in jeopardy is the zombie eye color in the original nuketown. If Pernell is still in the APD underneath one of the houses, why aren’t the zombie’s eyes white in the OG Nuketown?
Redfield XIII the radio where Yuri tells Pernell that he will be there when Samantha attack’s nuketown, this can’t be the case in the broken cycle timeline because by the time she would attack he’s at Handford

There's an important question that needs to be answered when it comes to these cycles. If we die/lose against Monty, does the cycle reset or have things forever changed? If the cycle does reset, then the events of Alpha Omega (with us sending the Avagadro to Hanford) could still make sense. Them "accidentally" making the Avagadro can be their lack of explanation for how it got there. Alternatively, your explanation about the sample turning into the Avagadro makes sense and is most likely the reason.
I completely agree we need to know those stakes. I think there are no redos by Richtofen saying no insurance policy.
I wouldn't be surprised if they're going to release a new now complete timeline after DLC 4 or during a Chronicles 2 or something. It even looked like they were teasing such on that livestream they did before the map came out. Cycle and broken cycle events are such a mess because they probably kept some events out of the timeline because they wanted to surprise us in this game.

Another complication with when this map takes place and what universe it is in is the bomb explosion.
The timeline poster says that on Ocotber 13th, 2025 "a nuclear bomb explodes outside of Nuketown as a result of Broken Arrow's drilling." But we clearly hear and see that in Alpha Omega the bomb is dropped as a fail safe when the Avogadro is released.
So was the bomb because of drilling or the Avogadro getting out? Just more fuel for the fire I guess
Also, the DoD took half of the shard from Pernell. But Russman worked with that half at a Broken Arrow facility. Why would the DoD take the shard from one Broken Arrow facility and then give it to another? Pernell is the director, I assume that means he has reign over all the facilities. Do you think this is just an over sight on Treyarch's part?
Luke Navarro The first point is not a plothole. Ultimis and Primis never arrive in the original timeline and cycle. Alpha Omega NEVER HAPPENS in the cycle. The radios and other things do, but the actual events of the map do not. Same with Primis arriving in Classified. So in the cycle it explodes because of drilling. In this fractured timeline we’ve created by trying to break the cycle, it explodes due to Ultimis and Primis freeing the Avogadro.

That's a fair point and no. The radios describe their mistrust of Pernell. They were taking it away from him because he was unstable. They continued research through the 70s to 2025 under a different branch.

So one piece is at Camp Edward and the other is at a different Broken Arrow facility that Russman worked at. How did Broken Arrow end up with both pieces again? They distrust Pernell so why would they hand it back to Broken Arrow

While I love all the call backs to connect primus, victus, and ultimis, I am still confused on how they plan to bring vicitus from Botd into play in the final dlc. There's alot of hype and confusion going in, but I'm excited to see how it all ends and see what happens to chaos (assuming they aren't axed)
I keep seeing everyone say that Primis Richtofen is acting suspicious. Like he either states the obvious or telling us what we already know, and people are speculating that its not the real Rochtofen. Well I have 2 answers for both questions.
1: there is no "real" Richtofen, we should know by now that there are many Richtofens due to the multiverse.
2: the reason that Richtofen keeps stating the obvious or telling us stuff we already know is because for the first time, he doesnt know what to do or what happens next. Only Primis Nikolia knows what happens next as he's the only one that read the Kronorium. That's why he looks sad or disheartened right before Monty takes a bite out of Maxis in the Easter egg end cutscene.
It's not a "fake" Primis Richtofen, it's the same post-Revelations Richtofen we had at the end of BotD, but the Kronorium isnt his to read, its Primis Nikolias as he is the only one who hasn't had to kill his counterpart yet.
And please dont say "oh well BotD post-Revelations Richtofen has a different look compared to the Richtofen we have now, so he must be a different person", its most likely and oversight on Treyarchs part. If you want solid evidence you could say he changed before traveling to get the ultimus crew.

I mean, to me it just kinda feels like what it would be like to have BO2 custom maps. Take the Nuketown Zombies, add a few generic houses, change up the HUD and Perk System, open the bunker, add a few bunker openings, use a shitload of assets to fill the bunker, make the quest line and just port over Avogadro and you have Alpha Omega.
I’ve heard quotes between Dempsey and takeo saying they don’t fully remember how they got out of Alcatraz so I’m wondering if that has something to do with AO Richtofen

I think the inconsistencies are as simple as the story being so ridiculously complicated that no one caught that error when looking at the time line or thought about how they’re not in the cycle to send him to tranzit anymore. That and probably lack of resources/people to check the stuff. Just another reality of development.
I feel like a lot of the retcons and fixing timelines is actually a horrendous job of it. Like, on the surface everything looks good but as soon as you even try and look deeper everything falls apart
Edit: Ik it’s a real hard job trying to fix all this but come on, don’t reuse and try to answer everything if nothing makes sense
True, it'd be so much easier to just pick a new day and say *this* happened, than pick a date they've already used and try to rework it/retcon it.
The answer is simple; treyarch does not think long term for many storyline events. They probably will say something along the line of " the characters have never been in this position before so the universe is reacting in strange ways blah blah blah".

I do believe the general direction of the story was discussed since motd but it seems that much of the storyline was not made with that same future in mind. Now they seem to do anything they can to tie up loose ends while sometimes compromising previous cannon.
They were really just trying to hit the breaks on what jimmy Z did and turn it back into og zombies. But i do appreciate what jimmy did and its impact now on the story even if it started this story that has many ppl scratching their head

Theory: When moon and nuketown happened during the original cycle, the nuke that was sent from moon that destroyed nuketown, destroyed the APD making him transfer to the site at green run.

What if the cycle can't be broken if are crew follows what the Kronorium says because that's what primis Richtofen was doing and it always kept them in the cycle so what if Monty is using the Kronorium to help keep the cycle going and anything they try that involves the Kronorium telling them what they need to do just keeps them in the cycle

What if maybe in the cycle, someone else is the avogadro? Even if it is Pernell in the cycle, maybe they used something else to make him into the avogadro, thus explaining his weaker form since he doesn't use the more powerful Elemental Shard instead of Element 115?

So I've been thinking about that Nikolai and Dempsey conversation for a bit now. Assuming Nikolai is telling the truth and isn't wrong, then it sounds like the characters don't enter the cycle until they capture their 'innocent' souls in the summoning key. But...aren't each of their journeys to retrieve the souls and send them to monty a part of the cycle as well? If this truly is this Nikolai's first time and he hasn't been in the cycle yet, then what happened to the Nikolai who was previously a part of the cycle? Did something happen to break him out of it last cycle causing a need for a new Nikolai, or is it implying that had things progressed as natural, Nikolai would have been integrated with his past cycle self upon killing and retrieving the soul of GK Nikolai?
Another thing about the souls, I don't anyone else to really have an answer on this, but it always bugged me. Exactly what do the souls and Nikolai 'still having his soul' mean? After all, it's not like the characters extracted their own souls out of their bodies, they were tasked with going to alternate dimensions, killing those versions of themselves, and then sucking the souls out of their corpses, so how exactly would that lead to the Primus characters not having their souls? Do the Ultimus characters also lack their souls because of this?
Maybe no matter what the Avogardo arrives at Transit in and out of the cycle?

If Alpha Omega doesn’t happen in the cycle, then how did Avogadro get to the Hanford Site? Treyarch may release the timeline to the broken cycle, like they did with the original cycle, sometime soon after we finish dlc 4.
G-Man Classified takes place in the original timeline during the cycle. Except the ending only occurs once the cycle is broken. All the radios and such in Alpha Omega also exist within the cycle but Ultimis and Primis only get involved when the cycle breaks. So yes, Pernell is Avogadro

We know post-moon Ultimis is in a hangar at Groom Lake during Classified. Only when the cycle breaks after Blood of the Dead, is when post-blood Primis arrive to get them. So that means the Ultimis fighting at Classified take the teleporter from Groom Lake to the Moon, launch missiles at Earth, and then travel back in time to Groom Lake during around the time Classified is taking place (where Earth isn’t hit yet by the missiles they launched) So that’s how they’re there? Then Primis grabs them and head to Alpha Omega. While Ultimis that is fighting outside take the teleporter to the Moon and launch missiles at Earth, then arrive in the hangar during Classified.

But in the original timeline, we could have after shang prior five, an accident trip where the VIPs are in the room but not caring about outside the reunion room (intro FIVE)

The more I think about it the more I think that its just an oversight by treyarch.
Maybe the CDC are sent in by Barkley to Nuketown on July 8th, they open the APD which is the first time people see the Avogadro, they only know he's an electric entity because they have him control the toy soldiers around the base but never see him in person, (Maybe when the APD is powered it gives him a physical form and is why he leaves then which explains why they created him on July 8th) they do the Alpha Omega shit to send a depowered Avogadro to Tranzit, they leave the bunker to the Fd up Nuketown and they discover zombies have gotten out. @@Radaustin27 not so much as its been how many years since transit introduced the avagadros and were just now getting back story on him it could be a retconns or human error or what if broken arrow thought that the sample rust man sent could've caused the creation of the avagadros when our characters transport him to Washington at the end of our Easter egg like there experimenting on their piece of the shard then the avagadros is sent and they try to piece 2 and 2 and come up with a conclusion that their test of the shard and the teleporter caused a reaction that made the avagadros

Ok the Avogadro created 1968 and was released July 8 2025 and was sent back in time in transit in bo2 transit in 1968 to get the elemental shard. So I say they broke the loop again rite there but buy sending the avogadro but what is weird is how 2025 events happen before 1968 even I think though it's the primis and ultimis crews doings but the ultimis crew are dyin to create one steady paradox only one crew member has his soul n that Nikolai he said it himself which the final dlc Nikolai will b the main character to take the lead fight against Monty to break the loop once n for all but to I think all the member are goin to die in the end cz they were in a loop which means the lived for a long ass time so that's my theory bt I hope it's not true
