- Hello everyone!! Happy New Year. This is the first video of this year and I'm very excited for everything that is coming as I plan to be uploading content more often this new year. #TheDUFF is a movie that I particularly enjoy a lot, I think it is one of those young romantic comedies a little more recent than it works for me. I think it is because is aware of what it is but takes it seriously enough not to become unbearable and I think because of is protagonists do a good role convincing us that this can happen (falling in love with that person with whom you feel comfortable). I like many of those moments being the one on the rock and when they do the deal my favorites. Tell me which one is yours!

In my old friend group, I wasn't a DUFF per say but I was the forgotten, weird, cry baby loner and only 1 or 2 people were my actual friends in the group. They would always always ignore me or not talk to me or say something to me that like " Ok well thats ..." or "No shit sherlock..."
In my opinion he always loved her and had a soft spot for her but she hated him so he didn’t do any about it✨

I think you missed the whole point of the movie. The message is that EVERYBODY actually IS a duff at some point. Even the prettiest girl on earth could be a duff. And thats totally okay, as long as you are comfortable with yourself

I think it's an okay movie and a really sweet story between Bianca and Wes. But the story between these two is so much deeper in the book. I would really recommend the book, there is no "make over" plot, the problems with both Wes's and Bianca's parents are really good written and the ending is really amazing!

imo the movie is so much better, bianca in the book is so "not like other girls" and unlikeable, it is like a bad written fanfiction, cliche and misogynistic, almost every other character is one dimensional

first time watching a movie so different from the book and i actually loving it. the plot goes in a totally different direction, yet i love both in different ways. you just gotta love Wesley and Bianca in whatever shape they present them to you. i can't get over them. seriously

I’m a DUFF and I’m proud of it. Being the DUFF doesn’t have to mean that you are some ugly beast (nobody is ugly, you are beautiful even if you don’t think so). Being the DUFF is just being different, weird, or whatever you want to it to mean. There is nothing wrong with being a DUFF. Nobody’s opinion matters as long as you are happy being yourself! Life is short, so please, don’t waste it. Be the best DUFF you can be!!

It's sweet and simple yet got complicated I'm glad they ended up together. Honestly seemed like another story going to ruins cause one of em didn't confess or was stuck. Loved the editing. Felt like I watched it all in one vid❤️

You look good but you don't look like you - definitely one of the best redeeming moments of Wesley. No matter what, you shouldnt lose your self-identity. People called Bianca DUFF just because she wasn't into dressing up and make up. But she'd always been true to herself. Her friends loved her for that. And eventually, Wesley did too

I know Wesley explained that someone does not have to be ugly, fat, etc. to be a DUFF, but it was really hard to take Bianca seriously when she was saying stuff like “a guy like you would not be friends with a girl like me.” There was absolutely nothing off-putting about Bianca, and she was just as beautiful as her friends. The movie missed the mark in that regard.

Aaahh this was a good movie. It still gives me the fluffy feel-good vibes 🥰🥰 And what I liked the most ifls how great actors the 2 main characters were. They were bouncing off each other so well!! Robbie Amell was especially good. I really liked him in The Tomorrow People, I also liked him The Flash, and I hear he'll be in Witcher Season 3!! Looking forward to him! 😍

OMG I was the DUF {not fat- I actually had a kick ass body} with my friends in HighSchool and I accepted it! I smiled and laughed all the time- and cried when I was alone! This clip made me cry again! You never get over how you felt in HighSchool!

This is the only clip I’ve seen of the movie plus trailers but I remember being gifted this movie for Christmas (never watched it) I felt offended at the time and then idk what happened to the disc but I recently read ‘Better than the movies’ and read somewhere that this book goes off of this movie (or an idea) idk but it’s freaking crazy that this guys name is Wesley and the guy in the book is Wes. So I’ll be buying this movie soon and purchasing the book (I rented from the library lol)

When I first watched the movie, I was in love. However, the book will change your opinion, real quick. When I was a teenager this was my bible, and I related to it very well. I love the book.

I live for love stories but this one feels so wrong. He humiliates her again and again, and only falls for her after she glams up. Plus what does she see in him? What makes her love him apart from the fact that he is the hot guy? This is not a representation of a healthy or desirable relationship?
You should read the book its 1000% better than the movie and they made some huge plot changes that they shouldn't have!
@@ylanamoon7839 Normally I would agree, because usually the book is better, but not in this case, but I agree it was two completely different stories. Unfortunately I liked the movie line better, but every could see this differently.
But in my opinion what she was seeing in him? I think because when he actually did not think about how this looks he was free with her and open and playful and funny and their chemistry felt very friendly. I agree he was a douchebag at the start but when he let himslef be him, he was not that bad. I mean it was just a movie you dont have a lot time to watch their interactions in full picture, but he was pretty funny and wise, when he would think and would not be an idiot.
I don't think he falls for her because he glamed her up but rather because it was the first time they actually hanged out without them insulting each other

I'm not gonna lie, most of the time I would have the same stand as you cause I also never liked those kinds of stories but for me what is different about this one is that they both were mean to each other, not only him. So it feels more of an enemies to lovers kinda of situation , not gonna say that's healthy but it's not Chenorbyl either
