Sounds like what Shawn is saying, in a nutshell , to be a champion, no it’s far greater than that, to be truly great, to maximize whatever potential you posses as a fighter, you must embody a lifestyle and an identity completely. That isn’t to say you can’t be “champion” but it’s the guys that become some version of the champ, probably duck all the other champs & big names you hear he should be fighting, build their stock while the promoters piss and shit everywhere, then eventually gets to one of those fights, those legacy type of fights, but fall short.
