Interesting 3d printing method. There is very little information about BMD. How compare is used? How often do producers use in relation to DMLS or EBM or SLS?

Hey Lukasz, great questions! BMD is a fairly new process but is built of the fundamentals of the metal injection molding industry which has been around for years. While DMLS, EBM, and SLS are more proven technologies, with more parts going through a validation process, we see BMD being used more in casting applications and prototyping.

because of the way the 3d printer makes the support using metal, it wouldn't be possible to print a block with complex vacuum routing/channels inside, would it??

I think 3d metal printing take much time to produce a green part compared to Metal injection moulding .

It looks like you deformed the flange when hitting the part with a hammer 🤦

Watching this guy work is cringe worthy. Might want to find someone with a little more manual dexterity to demonstrate this process as he's bending and banging on things with little care for the part and most likely dinged, nicked, and bent things.
