When I saw the second color palette I thought what in the world is going to become of that? It looked awful until you worked your magic! What an awesome piece. You are such a great artistEmma!❤️
Anne Marie from the french west indies 🌻💐🦋🕊💖🌸💝
I know this is two years old, but I have been watching a lot of your videos/tutorials and they have helped me so much! This one especially. I love LOVE mixing colors. I almost use it like therapy, but love watching how you create these palettes. You just make it look so easy.
I am 69 and new to water colour. Learning SO much from you - thank you for your great tutorials and you humour and your gifts of sharing. Must say I love the peony - of all the ones I have seen, yours is the best - I can almost smell it!.
The way you paint flowers is simply amazing. That is the best peony I have ever seen done in watercolor. The anemones are beautiful in the colors you chose. I learn so much from watching you. Thank you so much for all the tips as you paint. They are definitely appreciated. 🌸🌼😍
I love the way you begin with detail and colours on every video. You make it look easy and possible and then I believe that I can do it and then I do it!
Thank you so much for this video!! I very new to watercolor painting and am a Pinterest addict lol, and I've saved colour palettes but i love yours!! Can't wait to try your techniques!!💖🥰
Emma, you're the reigning queen of florals. I learned peonies from you (the "C" curve suggestion is what worked for me). Another lovely, feminine painting. You should alert Princeton as to your videos using their Snap brushes. No one else does (I think). Fab job! Frances Turano Denver, CO
So helpful. I'm so bad about planning out colors before I start, I usually just wing it and it doesn't always turn out great. These would make great greeting cards, so I'm for sure going to try them and experiment with the color mixing.
Love how you made colour swatches before you started, great idea. It encourages colour mixing which is great. I've loved your purple & hookers green mix, it's a beautiful colour. Thank you as always. You're FABULOUS 🎨🤩
It’s incredible how you support me. I’m so full of thanks. I learn so much about coloring, technique and composition. Just follow you and I do also open an inner source of creativity in myself. Thank you so much. Greetings from Germany.
What a inspiring video. Thank you for it. Also, would it be possible to do one color palette video each month? Sort of like your flower of the month, but with an arrangement of flowers that you are teaching us how to mix colors. You give us so much! Thank you for sharing. Your nails look great by the way!
Loving your tutorials - helping to keep me sane in lockdown! I'm learning so much and really starting to enjoy watercolour. Lightening my touch in the ways you describe has improved my work no end. Also appreciate that you don't spend ages on one thing, it keeps things light and playful. I don't always keep up, but that's the joy of RUclips, you can pause and rewind!
You are Wonderful. I paint in oils and wanted to try a different medium. Watercolour has always fascinated me. If you don’t mind how long have you been painting. And do you think a person who does oils could learn watercolors as well as you do?
Have just found you....wonderful so far, you use Arches paper...is it cold or hot press ? Important for me to know as have seen also a few wc artists tutorials that use hot press. Saying to myself, 'oh no' have just spent a small fortune on Fabriano as well as Arches cold press paper ! Love those brushes too have never seen them before. Best of luck, looking forward to learning a lot from you. Thank you !
Do you use a round brush always for your leaves of the flowers was it a 6 or a 12 ? I am just learning water colours holding a brush or painting is all new to me, so bare with me!
I know you use Hooker’s Green Dark a lot and it’s beautiful but it isn’t available in the Windsor & Newton professional line. Do you have an idea what color in the pro line comes close? This is often a problem with paint that isn’t Cotman. No Permanent Rose, either. 😟
Hi Emma, Im very new to water colour & your channel. I have a few questions. How did you do that palette thing with your images on Pinterest?. What water colours do you use? Brand Or recommend so we can follow along.? Where should I start with your videos.? You do fantastic work , I just loved the first demo you did, but then Im really partial to the first lot of flowers, the peony & roses. Greetings from Australia.
