Well there is a disclaimer after each episode that what is shown is a work of fiction and not to try at home cause they don’t need any lawsuits when a kid blows up his house.

I love how every time Gen realizes that Senku is making a new scientific breakthrough in the stone world, he either starts freaking out uncontrollably or makes a face that says “This mans nuts”. Typical Gen.
It's genius. Gen is the only other person in the kingdom of science (now also Taiju and Yuzuriha) that lived before the stone world, so he's the only one who could recognize and react to a lot of Senku's experiments. Based on his reactions, the stoneworlders can get a good idea of just how crazy some of these experiments are, that's why its so important that the animators have Gen react to literally everything. If it was just Senku and Chrome, Chrome would probably just be like "??? nitro vaseline ???" and we as the viewers would be sitting here like "if only you understood, young one.."
@@blastchaos4286 That is an excellent observation! I also think that it’s his personality coming through too. He strikes me as the kind of character who acts in a over-the-top fashion, being a mentalist/magician he has a flair for showmanship when the situation calls for it.
Gen is a character that perfectly represents the pov of us, the viewers.

yea unfortunately hyoga blows up the cave afterwards. he also stabs tsukasa so senku freezes him and travels to treasure island to get platinum to make more revival fluid, which is also where they find the petrification device

Yep. He also invented blasting caps, had like 355 patents, built bridges, dabbled in synthetic rubbers and silks, hblew up his brother and had to live on a barge because of his dangerous experiments. And he included the peace prize thanks to the woman that wrote lay down your arms being his friend.

That... Oddly makes perfect sense. Must be what his Quirk is all about, making sweat as the perfect nitroglycerin to let off his explosions.
I find it ironic how every fangirl is thirsting over Bakugo, when they couldn't even get all touchy with him. If his sweat acts like nitro, then traction on his skin equals boom, and his sweat would be also poisonous to consume. Like, half of the fanbdom wants him, when is body is easily the most chemically dangerous one to interact with "that closely".

the fact that ukyo might have exploding arrows might make him even stronger then tsukasa and hyoga combined, especially with his great hearing and his aim he might be one of the strongest characters in dr stone

The words dynamis(δύναμις), isxys(`ισχύς) and kratos (κράτος), romi (`ρώμη), alki (‘αλκή) all these words means power, strength in ancient greek although the exact meaning differ from word to word form example ‘ρώμη is the power of the body (strength) and δύναμις could mean 1)military might, 2) the ability to become smth else(mainly in Aristotle's writings) 3) strength
4) the ability to exist in certain cases 5) the power granted by authority. So yes technically you are not wrong kratos means power (more like divine power, kratos also was a lesser god (daimon) of strength and was charged with the security of Zeus palace) but there are also a myriad of words which means power.
Senku telling kids not to play with nitroglycerin at home reminds me of one of the Mythbuster's favorite sayings
What I like here is that Senku’s plan isn’t to use this directly as a weapon. That’s not his style. Instead, he intentionally sends his new breakthrough over their heads and out of the battlefield, to display the sheer force without hitting anyone.
Tsukasa’s army was made up of revived people from the 21st century. Every one of them knew exactly what it meant that Senku had the potential for explosive weapons. In that moment, they knew that they’d lost.

And then, Senku uses this discovery to *save* lives by excavating petrified victims, to be revived. That’s just the kind of guy he is, resting supervillain-face or not.

Why is this show so good. The set up is kinda simple. However this show gives me lots of ghoosebumb moments and occasionally a teary eye.
