Diagnosing My Lawn Problem: Poor Soil or Fungal Disease?

Both Bermuda and St. Augustine are aggressive (we’ve seen them grow across sidewalks and meet in the middle!). The main cause of grass not growing, which isn’t a fungal issue, is insufficient sunlight or water. Remember, you're not alone in these struggles.
We see fungal issues in St. Augustine, typically in spring and fall, and that's Brown Patch. Most of the time, it doesn't cause long-term damage to your lawn. So, there's no need to panic if you spot it.
Most of the time, though, if the issue isn't water or a fungal problem, it will be shade-related.
