This Video clip helped me out big time, 1,000,000,000 likes/thumb's up's for Helping me out, and most everything you mentioned was spot on, right down to all of the connection's being melted, and hitting the blower motor with a hammer to getting it to come on, that's what it ended up being, blower motor was no good Thank you, and keep up the good work, and video's !!!!!
Led me right to the source of my problem. My heater fan wasn't blowing at all. The fuses were okay so I decided to tap on the blower motor and bingo! Thanks a bunch!
This can be an expensive fix to diagnose and fix. Dealer quoted me $3200! Thank goodness my grandpa who sold me the car bought an extended warranty...Thanks for the great content as always.
I just did this job and had both a bad blower and a bad switch. Thanks for the video. Don’t discount that both may be bad though. Our blower made no sound no air, a whack of a hammer showed some signs of life, all power and ground checked out: we assumed it was just the blower. New blower in, and it has airflow, but very low. Checked the switch visually and would ya know it was burned. Idk which happened first but in our case after a blower and a switch we are good to go another 200,000 miles
Hi, Jerome. I watched a couple of videos today and some of them address your question. It seems that happens when there's a leak in the vacuum tubes or the canister is bad. It's an expensive repair but there are diy solutions showed in some videos. Good luck!
I have a Ford Econoline 350 6.8L V10 15 passenger 2001. The AC rear and front has been replaced. The rear blower is blowing the AC. The front blower is episodic. sometimes it won’t come on at all and then eventually it will come on. Especially after I drive on the freeway the front blower will come on. And it will stay on for a while and even after I turn the van off it’ll come back on when I start it back up. Does this mean the blower motor is going to fail, or the entire blower itself will fail? Also the van does have a bit of rust. Is it possible one of the components is rusty as you stated in the video? Also, thanks in advance for any ideas. I really appreciate the video, well done.
Cool so on my van it has about 11.8 volt at the terminal connect to the motor when the switch set to low but motor not running. It only run on high. Is there a possibility that the resistor is bad? If it’s bad theres would be no voltage at motor terminal is it?
Ive replace resister, harness, blower motor, vaccum line and reservoir. Actuators now work but no air blowing on 2008 ford e450. Old blower motor was likely good because new one does exact same as old; it turns but nothing blows out vents.
I have one of these vans and my AC only comes on slightly when I turn it on high only and it barely blows any air out but I can hear the fan blowing really well what should I check to find out why it's barely putting out any air out of the vents but I can hear the fan coming on just fine thanks for your help your video was very informative two thumbs up
Just some advice, you can spend a half an hour finding the fuses and checking them...or you can go straight to testing the wire harness that connects to the blower motor. I was cussing after all the fuses ended up good just to find out I had full voltage coming out of my harness with the blower on inside. Looks like I need a new blower motor. I'll change the resistor while I'm at it. I haven't run the bus in a while and it was running good and warming everything up in the cold weather and just cut out after about 25 minutes.
The tap did something but my van vent is working only under a load. It’s not very high but it’s running. I’m wondering if this is vacuum related or blower motor related
So I have the same issue the air works cold but it only blows to the windshield not to the vents a while back it would blow to the vents when I drove it through bumps but it’ll go back to windshield help I have no idea where to start
Changed out motor blower AND resistor.. still blowing no air but I can hear the blower coming and increasing in power when I turn it up.. but I feel NO AIR from the vents
What if there isn't 12v at the connection to the blower motor? I checked all fuses, they're good. The relay is also good. The blower motor is also good, because I was able to power it directly from the battery. The ground to the blower motor connection is good, I get 12v. (I don't have a test light, but I do have a multimeter.) The switch doesn't look melted or burned. My blower used to only work on high (I now know why), today it was working fine, then it just quit. I know the problem is because there isn't 12v at the positive side of the connection to the blower motor. What else do I need to check? The speed selector switch is good. I'm not sure how to check the main switch (off, vent, floor, AC, etc). What am I missing?
Ok check it out. Bypass is gone. Lasts a while. Suddenly goes back to defrost only. Look at bypass and all is intact and have strong vacuum. Still will not switch out of defrost. Change actuator switch and still does not work. Oil on the lines. I have the dash apart and if I direct the vacuum line directly to the blue line the blend door moves and blowers return. I put it back on and it won’t switch over
When so many people have the same problem you know Ford makes crappy systems on their vans how can the make the instruments panel controls and power windows on the same circuit so they both stop working at the same time.
Here’s a curveball for you. 2016 Ford Transit 250 Cargo. Blower motor and climate stuff only work intermittently! As in. Tuesday it works - the next day maybe it’s colder out - DOESNT WORK! works the next 2-3 days then outa nowhere ona 60° day i stop n turn off then get back in - DOESNT WORK! The ford techs just keep replacing stuff and no luck.

truly excellent walk through! thanks for your concise instructions and reasoning. best performance of this kind i've found on YT
Tapping the motor brought it back to life. I will change it of course.
Thanks for your help.

Amazing video! Thank you it helped me figured what was wrong on my E150
Thanks a lot brother. Very insightful and right down to the possible problems.
I appreciate you man.
Thanks again
Thanks man best videos I seen and explained perfectly 😁
Excellent diagnostic steps. Quickly narrowed down the problem. Replaced defective blower and we are back up and running again. Thanks so much.

That really helped, I have an E350 rv with no fan problem. Thank you for the video ❤❤❤
Great video! Thank you.
I love the fact my journey was shortened. I would tap the motor and it would start. Lol I was hoping another issue but yaaassssss heat

Hi I’m only getting air flow from defrost vents any idea where to start?
Great very helpful video!!! Do you have any videos dealing with stock Ford radios not working and how to get them working again!? Thanks! God Bless! †
thanks
What happens if it never goes to the front it stays on the defrost fan. No matter what setting you switch it too

Did you find a solution, i have the same problem

Do you have a video about the stock radio not working for the same van...?

Thats kind of what im looking for. Mine only seems to blow on the lowest speed no matter how high i set it.
Resistor
Ever find a fix?
My 2008 Ford Taurus AC comes on sometimes when i close my door with force. What could it be?

My Ford E150 doesnt blows through the windshield vent only. It cools but doesnt switch dampers. Where do i start ?
Rear door measurement (anyone)?
What would be the tallest box or
item that will fit into the van from
the back entrance?
So I have the same issue the air works cold but it only blows to the windshield not to the vents a while back it would blow to the vents when I drove it through bumps but it’ll go back to windshield help I have no idea where to start

Would it be a blower motor is the rear fans work but not the front?
Could the resistor be the cause of it not working at all?
What if it's only working on low? I've already replaced the resistor
My ac compressor in my 2003 Cadillac Cts is bad can you guys do a video on replacing it.
+Tony Stark We're always cycling through common cars. We'll add this repair to our list! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Ahhhhhh! I was waiting for switch troubleshooting with a gauge. :(
It's never just a fuse! I never get that lucky LOL
lol this is so true! today tho, i did find it just to be a fuse for same prob on my 2013 dodge ram. today was a goood day
Yeah man but what about the actual blend door actuator going bad. How the hell do you remove the top dash in an E450. There’s no access port in mine
Couldn't you just perform a continuity test on the plug leads to see if it is open or closed?
