Love the new stuff! Gotta get my praise in before I start my rant, lol. Anyone else kinda annoyed by how the red gems work? I wish they'd spawn in a way that lets you keep farming shrines without having to chase them down. Feels like I'm just walking in circles, and the XP shards stop spawning until I get that gem. Lorien's awesome, but this gem thing is the WORST with him. It really messes with the fun.
The game has a limit on how many gems you can generate, so it will condense them into one big red experience Gem with all of the accumulated experience. Warped Strike and Execution overload the game's capacity to generate gems onscreen if you're using a character with projectiles since Warped Strike causes extra bouncing. If you were sitting still for a significant amount of time, say, for the duration of the first slime wave, you may have been obliterating enemies and condensing experience as quickly as the game could spawn them, leading to a turbo gem. Edit: I can't recall if I've ever seen 4 level ups at once, but I used to run this build with Merris and old Multihead and would get a lot of level ups.
there is a big problem with it. It is not vampire survivous. and red gem works badly For example - if you wil go straight and do not take exp you will never get red gem. All gems are removing and not collecting in red gem if you go away far enough, So it is works only if you do not go far away. In VS it is works different way - there is a limit count for gems and old ones are collecting in red gem while news ones are spawning. Here new ones go to red gem. So if you go away and receive gem on the ground, old one behind is removing and not collecting to the red gem
i think some of the red gems were waaay too packed with exp for some reason 5 minute later edit: i suddenly got another theory, if it is indeed caused by force - it could happen cause of range being extended all around it just instantly applies all the exp it now pulls and i think the lose-gain gold shrine used to give items sometimes if you give gold
I think you're right about Force pulling in more exp for the levels. That shrine 100% used to give items for gold, it might still but maybe not 100% chance
You got all that XP from a red gem, they can apparently stack up XP around them so that the game isnt flooded by numerous small gems. Since you are killing things off the screen if you sit there for a big one of the red gems can build up really large. As for warped attack you are right as I am pretty sure the bounces are hits also and with Gemini you can get a ton of small gems fast. Since you have execution also they can add up quick.
My black lightning build is so busted it would fill the middle of my screen with darkness enough for me to see the reflection of my smirking face from time to time.
The red gems got stacked like in Vampire Survivors because you have such an insane range. Just try it out by standing still for a minute, the next red gem you pick up will give tons of XP. If you find a bonux XP shrine you can stand still next to that one for a long time, then pop the shrine and move to pick up the red gem -> instant massive XP gain with 60 % bonus XP gained as well :)
What a lovely run but let´s see what i take with me from this video. "Lorien is crazy strong" ok, we knew that. "Fuck you bird" interesting, will curse at them tomorrow at work. "Piss against the wind" well that sounds doable will definitely try that much love buddy and thanks for the funsies.
1:05 - did you calculated bonuses on gloves ?) when you have max stacks it gives you ... omg omg ... it can not be this ... 10% cd reduction, 10% atack speed and 5% move speed. These bonuses are awesome )))
I find some tier 1 items can be better than tier 2... but thats because some stats can roll on slots in t1 that they can't in t2... might be old legacy items though not sure.
Do we know what all luck affects in live vs ptr? I've heard so many different things its crazy. Some people say it is just strike chance, some people say it is crit some say its not.
Basically, it seems everything that has a % chance to happen except for talents/crit/lifesteal type effects. Not entirely sure about the lifesteal stuff though

I'm pretty sure the longer you leave a red gem on the ground the more exp it accumulates. When you got 4 levels it was because of the slime wave imo.

Yeah, but that's only when they are maxed, and you can get better attack speed gloves naturally. Getting the Move speed is the real unique effect
I find some tier 1 items can be better than tier 2... but thats because some stats can roll on slots in t1 that they can't in t2... might be old legacy items though not sure.
