when a friend asked me how to place it, I put it as on your screensaver and printed it on a 3D printer..they say it needs to be placed horizontally, but I'm placing it vertically, so how do you need it? as they say, are the gaskets leaking, sticking, etc. or is it all bullshit?
Hello, I need admin's help. The default setting doesn't work. I've been pressing the button for more than 20 seconds but the red light doesn't flash Is there any way to reset it to default? Ks0
If the Finns are closer together you need better and more directed Air flow. So it really makes sense to spred the finnes out to get better heat transfer (between Finns and Air). Especially because they are partially blocked by the coils.
great job, if you have thermal heat camera you will see which mosfets is overheating at 340-360GH i have 2 that do that and 3 that just dont take higher than 300GH, so i was able to make one to go 320GH but it will fail with ambient temp rising to 85F. I planing on testing combo thermal aplication to see if that helps , stay tuned.
I do have a flir one, but at this point i'm not sure isolating the culprit would make a difference given i've put the (biggest) heat sink I have on it, unless I do something more exotic, and not really worth the returns for this miner!
LOL....heavy mayo version....I cant find those tall copper heatsinks anywhere anymore...you seen them around brother? Edit I found some left on Alphacool's actual website.
You looked a little nervous swapping those heat sinks is it worth it I have the same low ones on there that you had because that's all I could get at the time apparently the tall ones were out of stock because everyone was modifying theirs
I am ALWAYS nervous doing stuff like this to sensitive electronics, but it was easy. I'm not sure it's worth it at this point though given how little the device generates
Nice try, i do wonder if at some point the faster fans are pushing too much air. I was thinking also to try a small copper heat pipe across all the mosfets, then larger heat sink on top, who knows!
If you really want to understand what's happening you need to make plexiglass cover and inject smoke machine smoke to see what the air is doing as it's flowing through.
If I was going to take a wild guess the down fans and the Grey things behind the Moffetts are causing airflow swirls....is it enough to cause oc to be lower I highly doubt it. If anything finding better Moffetts and replacing them is probably the key.
My unit doesn't like any of the OC's I've tried to use. If I'm lucky it'll run for a day then restart. All the temps look good and I've got a bunch of air flow around the unit. Have you seen this before?
I can only run the 300G overclock, I have the same heatsinks as you originally had, so I was really interested to see if the new heatsinks would make a difference. Did your temps lower with the bigger heatsinks?
Instead of 4 little ones you need one long one will spread the heat better have more surface to give heat away and more air flow to catch it does magic 😎😎
Freeze first to separte thermal pads without damage, after freezing though I suggest pointing a fan at it for a good few hours before firing it up again, because condensation could be present on the pcb

I think ultimately it's just too much heat to offload in a small area. Reached the limits of what I can do (within reasoN)
where can i get the 360GH firmware for ks0 pro
thanks

Bro, that is insane. That is almost double the hash rate like it is more than 3/4 of the original half rate. 😮

😂 Omg!! Love your content!! very good information here, Thanks for making my day better while modding my Kso pro!!

this is so epic i wonder what the ks0 ultra can do

can you link the printed fan shroud? the one on your device looks different than the one you have linked in the description
Pitching them so you don't have the turbulence from the Grey thing behind it may make sense.
If you really want to understand what's happening you need to make plexiglass cover and inject smoke machine smoke to see what the air is doing as it's flowing through.

If you pitch the heatsinks, they will not cover the surface of the MOSFET properly
Thank you for the videos!! Are the shrouds on either side the same design?
Yep! just different filament color

Mine runs stable on the 320. try loading back in the stock fw and see if you still have issue?
@@TechnicalsMatt when I have the stock firmware installed it runs fine, it's a little lower than the advertised hash rate though
It's the silicone lottery, some MOSFETs can be pushed, whilst others cannot be

Monitor doesn't show the mosfet temps, but it made no difference in the end I was only able to get to max 340
@@TechnicalsMatt thanks
How about trying PB Farmers new free OC firmware?..I really want to see what it and that enclosure + mods can do!

1:47 hahahaha Fu…….. sorry about your thermals😂
04:15 that would be a choke.
bending heatsink fins won't do anything
Those big blocky things are called doohickys. Can sometimes be called flibergibbets depending what part of the south you're from.
Inductor/Choke
😂 I know what I’m doing! LMAO… love your videos. Real and funny.
Man, this video is too funny 😂
Dude dips like an old school mlb player.
Dude what
@@TechnicalsMatt Chewing tobacco. And loads of it. Nothing wrong with it. I have half a tin of griz in right now.
I missed the joke sorry i'm a regard
somebody got a hair cut
We thankyou for not becoming a surgeon. A serious comment, you didn't do thermal paste correct?
I repasted in the first vid
I'm stuck at 320 . I'm good I don't have money to replace them . But if you wanna pay for them I'll beat your 360

aaaaa i am the Airflow. hahahaha
Lmao 😂
