My 2nd favorite end credits suite after ESB. I mean come on....the raiders march, love theme, shorty's "two themes," and temple/children's theme with heavenly transitions. What I'd give just to be the dude hitting the gong at 5:19
At 3:18 I’m not sure how and why but John Williams must’ve taken steroids or something cause the raiders March just hits different here. Shit goes HARD
I have to agree with that. There is something very magical about temple of doom that stands out for me. It has to be the music, the relationship between Indy and Shortround, the locations, but also I think that it is the most adventurous movie out of the bunch.
You know, I don't think I've EVER heard a version of this that transitions back into the march from the Willie/Love Theme the way it's done in the film. The bit between 7:56 - 8:35 or so isn't played in the film, it basically cuts right to a louder variation of 8:35 in the actual credits.
And often the end credits music in the film is edited for time to fit the credits length, as in this case. I've never liked the hard cut at 7:56, I much prefer the Raiders March being brought in gradually as presented here (which replicates how it was in the Raiders of the Lost Ark end credits).
Excellent edit, but this is not the film version. You can recognise it clearly between 3:18 and 3:29. I tried to put together an edit that would reflect the score in the film, but yours sounds really nice (even though you didn't get the end right)!
Oh but it's very, very close - I've wanted this film version edit for a long time and had it in mind to recreate it, but by the sound of it this presentation does what I was going to do; cut from the end of 'Return to the Village/Raiders March', to earlier in that track (1:17 to 1:28) to cover the start of the credits, then to directly off the screen for 3:30 to 3:44, then to 'End Credits'. Nicely done!
THIS JOHN WILLIAMS SCORE TO TEMPLE OF DOOM…WAS NOT PERFORMED BY THE LSO…THIS GOOBER FAILURE IS JUST THAT. YOU NEED TO CORRECT…THE LSO ONLY PERFORMED RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK…ALL FILMS AFTERWARDS WERE PERFORMED AND RECORDED IN HOLLYWOOD.
Keep in mind that the other two movies he actually recorded his score at Sony Pictures Studios Scoring Stage, Culver City, California. Just out of curiosity did he ever record some of his scores at The Fox Newman Scoring stage?
MY COMMENT IS IN ALL CAPS TO REINFORCE THE FACT I'M AN ATTENTION SEEKING DOUCHEBAG THAT HAS TO POINT OUT EVERY SINGLE DETAIL TO YOU SO IT LOOKS LIKE I'M SMARTER THAN YOU AND I'M ALWAYS RIGHT
This may be my favorite Indy finale.
Love how John Williams weaves the Temple theme & Romance theme in between the Raiders March (1:35 to 2:45).
DIAL OF DESTINY 🤩
This one and Crystal Skull’s make me smile like crazy

Very underrated OST and film.. This is the BEST of the Indy saga!
Short Round should take over the franchise in Indiana Jones 6.
The horns at 1:35 recapping the temple motif are just perfection

For real. John Williams outdoes himself in this score.
Temple of Doom is beyond the shadow of a doubt the best Indiana Jones.
Without question.
not like Raiders❤

I've always said it's more of a horror movie than Jaws is.
"Fortune and glory kid, fortune and glory. "
And they all lived happily ever after…The End
The key change in the statement of the second half of the Raider's theme at 2:50 is insane.
¡La mas alta calidad de lujo en sonido! En hora buena. Lo he disfrutado al máximo. ¡Dos pulgares arriba!

They often re-record and rearrange the music for the soundtrack album, because the sound mixing for the screen is not the same as for an album.

7:54 Why is it that I see nobody talking about this part? It’s amazing!
That part is in every indy final lol
Jerold. That is my favorite part of the Indy theme! Temple of Doom’s is my number one! Then the one from Raiders.
1:16 1:20 3:18 Indiana Jones Theme Raiders 🤠 🎵
They don't make then like these anymore. Sigh.
Pure genius on every level. Williams is the man ❤

My favorite list add !!!
4:10
Is it possible to get a pro quality CD version of this complete score?
From what I read, the film version of the closing music is lost.
Noice
3:18
My childhood music:D
8:34
It's just an Indiana Jones movie folks, phony and all - but I like'em!

Maybe don’t be a jerk about it.

Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed
Something really off in the sound quality here. Harsh highs and mids and weak lows. Not a good remaster.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
