One of the things that helped me as a disabled person when I was newly divorced was to learn adaptive or novel ways of being able to do the things I never did. One was to put lever handles on all faucets on doors and sink faucets. I also looked online for other ppl who have similar issues and see how they were able to accomplish heavy tasks. I couldn’t pull in my trash cart up my driveway. Then someone said they rolled their window down in their SUV, and folded in their mirror and held onto the cart and rolled it up the driveway while hanging on and driving slowly. Made it less of a distance with a cane that way. Strengthening exercises with light free weights helped too. I can do those while watching TV/RUclips seated.
Being honest with treating physicians of your sensory issues and stress how horrible it feels for you, they may have options for you they hadn’t mentioned before. I know there are others that may have ideas that fit your specific issues. It’s a matter of not feeling overwhelmed when looking online for them.

Hi Claire! Missed you and was myself, tied up with life so when you said you'd been on carnivore for 7 weeks already it was a surprise - time goes quickly! You're looking amazing (whistle). Love the hair colour. 😍
I'm happy for you moving through the depression as you know best. We (your community) mean well with our thoughts and comments and sometimes I expect we think we 'get you' cause your genuinely lovely qualities make us feel close to you. Thank you for your graceful reminder that there's things we aren't privy to and you won't share. 👍
Bucket list - love this for you! I turned 55 last year and am keeping a "300 list". It's taken me all year to think of just over half that number but as things pop in my head I write them down. I've accomplished about 12 things off the list so far. (Bake a loaf of bread, redesign a family heirloom, reconnect with an old friend...) I'm not fanatical about it but if I'm in a rut, looking at the list and doing something off of it is a help. In a sense you've already started your list with us (call about driving lessons, take driving lessons, research dentures, try carnivore diet and see if it helps, buy sofa....).
Anyway, lovely to get a catch up from you. Sending you early birthday wishes! I experienced a degree of mental freedom hitting 50 so I'm wishing you an incredible 50th and look forward to sharing in you vlogging. 💜 🇨🇦

So good to see you back Claire. The American lady I watch who is on the carnivore diet also has had comments from people telling her she would kill herself with the carnivore diet. She is doing really well and only updates on weight loss when she hits specific goals, which seems to work well. She had planned to do videos on buying thrift store cloths that are too small and then wearing them also altering things she doesn't like about something she has bought, like neckline or sleeve length. Perhaps thoughts for the future.. Living with pain is depressing and stressful I hope that carnivore can help with that too, and that your doctor can offer you some effective pain relief.

I would highly recommend a mobility scooter- I know you are probably reading that and thinking “I’m not that bad”, because that’s exactly how I felt, it didn’t occur to me for years, I just didn’t go out for a walk if I wasn’t well enough to walk. But my world is bigger now, and for distances inbetween car travel and the amount I can walk it’s perfect. It gets me out, doing errands and seeing people, and that makes a difference to my mood. It adds up. Also you can take them into supermarkets etc. now I have one I really notice how much I used to constantly calculate when I could sit down.

Your teeth look okay, you have a nice smile! When Kirk got his dentures, they pulled every tooth in his mouth at one time in a day surgery, because his were in bad shape due to his health issues, and he needed a TAVR surgery for his heart. If your teeth are in decent shape, keep them. Don't have them removed unless it's really necessary, that's my advice, take it or leave it. Also women with CFS have different changes than men do with CFS. I hope maybe this might be of some help to you. Watch me cook my carnival(lol-this cracked me up ) Carnivore dinner? Lots of stuff to consider. How about chair yoga with Claire? Or sitting exercise for muscle tone? or -for us In the USA- how things are different in the housing system between the US and GB. Or words that we say that are different or have different meanings or vice versa.. Or just about anything .. Getting dentures was the BEST thing I ever did. ( I have chronic autoimmune diseases)
    Full dentures, top and bottom.
My smile is better, I can eat more meat more easily.
I was measured for them, they took moulds of my mouth.
The day they took the teeth out they put the new ones in so the gums healed into the shape of the denture plate. A week of mild pain and discomfort and now no-one will believe they aren’t my own teeth.
The BEST ‘life improvement’ thing I’ve done.
Go for it!!!! (I’m in Australia)

My experience is that dentures are AWFUL. I have all my teeth, but my best friend opted for his teeth being removed because he had never been to the dentist and needed much work done in terms of cavities and root canals. From that point on he was more miserable than he had ever been and said many many times he wished he had kept his real teeth as they at least worked enough for him to chew. It took his taste away and he never was able to chew meat and lived on baby food. Plus, he ultimately developed dementia and kept losing his teeth and then he gummed his food-not a good result for eating.... He has passed now but I can still see him so sad he had not waited and tried to do something eIse. I am not a professional dentist or anything but perhaps would think long and hard about pulling your teeth. They look fine and they appear to function. But you do what you feel you need. They are not my teeth🤷‍♀. I can't imagine doing dentures at your age.
You are looking great! So glad to see you back. I love your hair! Take care and hope to see you a lot more.

Dentist things, I presume your first appointment would be a check up and chat - no pressure to commit? Thats the way it helps to see it for me, anyway, coming from dentist phobia person. Eek!). You have a lovely smile I think, but as someone with insecurities about my teeth, I see where you're coming from. I may go down the same road one day (and return to you for encouragement and wisdom!).
A thought, not necessarilt a video as it is personal: can you use more mobility aids to conserve energy? For for example, I have ME and use a shower chair and a walking stick, borrow a wheelchair sometimes. Similar stuff like online deliveries for food, and some pharmacies can deliver prescriptions. Anything, really, that spares you some energy to spend on something you enjoy.
    Future video:
Now that music is back on the table (with my neurodivergent mind and chronically ill body I cheered out loud 😂 so happt for you), what have you been listening to most often?
    - re the bucket list, could you have multiple options for the year? Like if you're really well, you might go see a special museum exhibition. If you're not as well, perhaps a virtual tour (some places offer this, I just found out). Basically an option so youre not dependent on really good health but could give you a new experience of some sort - the bucket list should bring joy, not pressure ans hopefully not disappointment if you didn't get everything ticked off.
Long ol' comment from a long time watcher, having a ramble. You're lovely company, I've been knitting whilst watching. Hope you get some good rest after this. ❤

Not sure I need aids. Maybe a walk in shower but as I’m moving it’s not worth doing now. I can buy stuff online and have it delivered but if I don’t have a car I will be isolated as walking places kills me for days. At the moment I don’t really go out because the payback is too huge. Maybe that’ll change on carnivore.
The bucket list has lots of different things on it and there will be no pressure to commit to everything.

If your teeth are in good condition, don’t have them removed! Lower dentures are a pain, I’ve been told. Dentures, in general are not good and you will not like your face shape changes. See the dentist, keep an open mind and take time to make decisions. It is a decision for life. Perhaps, you can do some things a little at a time so it’s not a big financial burden.

DO NOT GO DOWN THE DENTURE ROUTE!!!!! The vast majority of dentists will fight tooth and nail to preserve your dentition and are more than capable in allaying your dental phobias. The ramifications of 100% extractions are extensive, not least leading to gum shrinkage and sunken cheeks, which is so aging. As you say, your proposed new location will not necessitate the need to drive, so for now direct your income into preserving your teeth. Please.

Dentists have already recommended dentures. I have a lot of missing teeth. My cheeks have not sunk. I’m aware of the pros and cons. My confidence is massively affected currently. While I wouldn’t need to drive as there’s public transport the reality is without a car I’m isolated because using public transport requires a lot of walking. I can’t do that, that’s why I don’t go out much presently. My mother had dentures at my age and didn’t have any issues at all.

Hers were all out by the time she was in her late 40's and she was always complaining about them. My husband had all his pulled at once because his were very bad after having kidney and heart disease. He was in bed for more than a week with pain from that all at once surgery. I felt so sorry for him.
