I've been going to Eureka Springs since I was a kid!! It is one of my favorite cities due to the architecture.

Very well done. This is the best overview I've seen of Eureka Springs downtown area with the little shops and roads. Try to hang there at least once or twice a year.

You mention European architecture. Tight streets etc.
The building at 2:56 juxtaposed between the split level streets is a typical scene you’d see in Paris or Zurich.

It's nicknamed "Little Switzerland"... I lived there for 8 years - the streets are a nightmare in snow/ice because if you can't stop you could end up on someone roof lol. Many of the buildings & houses are built into the cliff rock & 95% is National Historic, Unfortunately it is not handicap friendly , hence part of why I moved

Today was my first drive through Eureka Springs. Do not bike, skate or scooter. Extremely narrow roads and curves, turns, hills, dead ends. Hard to walk. Yikes. And no parking. Though it was an enchanting town.

Try living there like I did (8 years), it's crazy as there are actually less than 2500 actual residents - during high season there could be as many as 10,000 people in town on any given weekend

😂 Yep. Been there many times, I wouldn't suggest those either. But I've seen bicycles. I'm not that brave. I do enjoy walking around. There's usually a bench or someplace to rest a bit and people watch or enjoy the scenery. Rollar skates - bad idea.

@@ecm8948 I've considered it more than once. Lived in Rogers for some years and kind of wish I took the plunge to find a place in Eureka. Currently in the Van Buren downtown area. When I lived in Rogers I went to Eureka quite a bit and just hung out as if I was a local.

What a fun and interesting place! The way that they designed those streets to split off, one going down and the other up, is pretty amazing. I would love to see the hotel with every floor on the ground level, and the church where you enter through the bell tower. Those sound like Ripley’s Believe it or Not features. Nicely done, Jill. I enjoy watching, too, because I feel like I have spent a little time with you. :-)

I wish you were there with me Debbie, we would have had a grand old time! If you come to Northwest Arkansas we'll make a point of taking you!
