2. she wasn't drinking, she had been talking with james biden that morning (joe's brother). discussing the campaign. she then went to buy a christmas tree. due to an error she ended up rolling past a stop sign and was hit by an incoming tractor-trailer.
it was ruled an accident with theories that she was either distracted by the kids or the low vision of that particular road meant she just couldn't see anything coming. the man driving the tractor-trailer said he didn't see the car until it was too late, he tried to swerve out of the way. many speculated that the man had been drinking since he was a known alcoholic but it was ruled out.
neilia (30) and naomi (13 months) were pronounced dead on arrival to the hospital. beau (3) and hunter (2) were severely injured. beau broke several bones and hunter had a skull fracture and a traumatic brain injury.
i think it's absolutely horrible to use the death of a young woman and her child to hurt a politician you've decided you dislike. neilia doesn't deserve to be lied about, she didn't purposefully put herself or her children in harms way. leading up to the accident neilia was photographed with joe consistently, they were very happy with their family and their win. the car still had "joe biden for senator" flyers in it.
