I was just asked by my friend if I could make her one for her kitchen she just had remodeled...never having done one before, I was hesitant -- not anymore! I’m diving in. This is just gorgeous and it looks totally doable!!!!! Thank you
Excellent video; gorgeous board. So rare to see a video that gets right to what the audience wants to see, without having to wait through unnecessary boring chatter. More please! Thanks.
Stunning board. I would only add that I like to add a clear coat over the design. I do not recommend putting food on the resined part but food invariably will and if my resin is food safe, it is only food safe when clear, not pigmented. So for added safety I always add a clear layer over the design layer.
Okay so this totally DID NOT DISAPPOINT. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and didn't look too hard at all. Love your design and color choices ❤ I am definitely gonna make one of these, but of course better get the board now because after you post this stuff everything flies off the shelves 🤣
Love this! Yes please do more! You’ve learned what everyone should, never be afraid of wood. LOL. My dad was an environmental engineer by trade but he made furniture grade wood projects (I miss him so). He would love these projects we’re all doing. For cutting boards or any wood surface that would come into contact with food he always used tung oil. Loved the video, it brought some very precious memories back.
The best tutorial yet on these boards. I did not know about the whole prep. Probably why I have never been happy with ones I did and just give up trying with them. Going to revisit these for sure xx
I really loved your tutorial, and I ordered some of the products you recommended as well as from Nicole Marett. My first effort - a gift for a friend - turned out pretty well! As for the fire glass, I found Starfire Direct. They actually have one-pound sample bags for $3.85 each, so I got a sample of ever color they had which was 10 bags. I have several more charcuterie boards in the pipeline for Christmas gifts!
I had bought a round board a couple of weeks ago to make my own Charcuterie board and now I will be able to do something like this on it 😍😍😍 amazing work and thank you for this video
You did a great job! Some of my favorite pieces are the ones I’m most scared to make initially too 😊 a great way to make nice clean lines is to put the epoxy mixed with glitter/pigment into a small bag and make a tiny piping bag by snipping the corner. You can also use the heat gun to your piece before you put the white down and it’ll help spread it out, without thinning the white. Adding acrylic markers after the epoxy is dried is a fun way to add highlights too. I buy the clear fire glass with mirror on one side and I tint it if needed by spray painting or tossing lightly in tinted epoxy of my choice. I love your piece just the way it is! I just wanted to give you some tips that’ve helped me along the way:)
I am so excited you did this tutorial!! I asked back in September if you had one in the FB group. I went ahead and did one cause I had a Bridal Shower but like you said, I wasn't super confident after watching what tutorials I could find. I knew if you did one, it would be thoroughly explained and done well. Thank you for this!!!
I am obsessed!!! I am going to make one for game nights!!! And one for my mom as well!!! Love your tutorials! The way you explain things is so helpful!
I just want to say thank you for all the time you take for your videos. I am new to all of this and love your videos. This board is so beautiful. -Tabitha

@@FlynnSistersBoutique so sorry. The wood conditioner. Do you have to put on it again when you put food on it again, or not. My son use his a lot. I’m wondering if you have to use it often. ( I hope I’m making sense). ? Or is this just for looks?
