Cool find. My cat's name is Boom Box. He was given that name at the shelter because of how loud he was.

That's great! (If I had to name my dog based on his characteristics, I would probably call him "Vladimir Poopin'"...)

My play head is stuck in the play position so it doesn’t turn off. How do i fix that? Tia

Take it apart to access the large gray flywheel (seen at about 2:05 in this video) and then rotate it by hand to cycle the mechanism. Search Amazon for "cassette deck square belt kit" to find replacement belts.. Thanks for the comment!

Seriously, by the mid 1980's these things grew to Goliath size. I remember the 1970's "small" boom boxes. The ones with a built-in cassette player/recorder (using built-in mic), AM/FM stereo and maybe a tone dial. Battery or AC they were swell to use in the park while hanging with friends, smokin' weed, drinkin' brews and chillin' out to some boss tunes. I still have two; a Superscope and a Sanyo.
These big boys were really more suited to in home use as (at least in NYC) were too expensive and heavy to drag around outside. I did get my dad a Sanyo C-4 system in 1982. Looks like the only thing this TRK 9100 can't do is brew coffee. Still though, it sure is impressive.

I just got the tiny boombox I had when I was little. It has line-in but you can't even hear it when you hit record, you have to play it back later.

It probably could be modded somehow, or you could use an FM transmitter to get aux in... Thanks for watching!
