- Delhi Dehradun Expressway, also known as National Highway 72A (NH 72A), is an under-construction, 210 kilometres (130 mi) long, 12/6 lane access-controlled expressway, which will connect Delhi, the national capital of India, with Dehradun, the capital of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It will pass through the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and will pass through the cities of Baghpat, Baraut, Shamli and Saharanpur. It will have two spurs, or link roads, to ensure connectivity with cities lying nearby to its route: one 50.7-kilometre-long (31.5 mi), six-lane Saharanpur-Roorkee-Haridwar Expressway, and another 121-kilometre-long (75 mi), six-lane Ambala-Shamli Expressway.[9] It is being built at a cost of around ₹ 13,000 crore, and will reduce both travel time and distance, from around 5-6 hours to only 2.5 hours, and from around 280 kilometres (170 mi) to 210 kilometres (130 mi). It will be completed by January 2024.[10] It connect to Char Dham Highway in Uttarakhand.

Saharanpur bypass highway and chutmalpur bypass highway standard is very poor, it is made up of concrete and there are a lot of undulations on the roams and many bumps caused by uneven joints on bridges and highways. This could damage the car’s suspension if u drive above 60 especially if u don’t notice and not able to slow down .

This is not a expressway, it is a access controlled highway. Most people don't know that
Dehradun will be filled with a non stop traffic due to this expressway. more lanes are directly proportional to more traffic , that's what small town people don't know about.

I deeply respect the infrastructure development in India, but our holy mountain places are already overcrowded. Rishikesh, Hardwar has immense traffic jams already. The mountains are crumbly, we are seeing so many disasters. there needs to be tourism restrictions like Bhutan. now every weekend millions more will arrive and basically be stuck in a massive jam . Last time after reaching Rishikesh we were stuck on a small bridge for 3 hours.

ये तो बन ही जायेगा लेकिन देहरादून तो पहुँच कर शहर मैं सारा ट्रेफ़िक एक रोड़ पर आ जाता है और शहर मैं सारा ट्रेफ़िक एक रोड पर आने से जाम ही जाम रहता है इसलिये देहरादून मंसूरी तक फ्लाइओवर बनाना ही होगा प्रशासन को भी ये जानकारी दे कर आगे ये चुनौती के लिये तैयार होना होगा

Today it takes 4 - 4.5 hrs to reach Dehradun. It's my hometown, I go twice a month. After this expressway, time will surely be 3.5hrs + coz for 210km, you cant drive at 60kmph avg. speed continuously. So not much gains here, in the short term. Elevated road in mohand was enough. Rest of it is waste of money.
Maybe you cant drive.. old man its a wastage only for you.. but not for this country
