What you are experiencing when watching her is the power of God, the anointing is what make a singer like Whitney so touchable, relative, the feeling you feel is the presence of God. I encourage you to know him for yourself so you can fully understand the essence of power God has, he loves you!!!
She really could stir your soul with her voice...and thats even through a screen with less than brilliant recording quality! I can only imagine how electrifying it must have been to be in that room right there and then - I doubt there was a dry eye left in the house that night! Angelic beauty of tone with tsunami-like power, yet scalped-like precision and control. She ebodies a seeminly impossible blend of opposites that nobody is ever likely to match. She really was "The Voice"!
She's singing in front of a house of opera singers as well. They were all stunned she was vocal perfection tjat night. Look at when she sang with Pavarotti same night. That part about the spirit, that's so true in the years where she lives to sing yiu can see the spirit on her. There is a I will always love you on the bodyguard tour in Argentina in a brown blazer the spirt was there that night too towards the end she had the look of God in her eyes you have to see to believe it! Watch it u will see what I mean!
Someone once compared singing this song over and over again was like expecting Usain Bolt to run a 100 world record EVERY time. Insane, inhuman. This woman was GOLD! Please listen to I Believe from her recent gospel compilation. Amazingly GOOD!
im probably her biggest fan this song no words and they played this while carrying her casket out we lost the voice the best singer that ever graced the stage ever
I believe a spirit would take over at times with her u can see it in her eyes. She has a IWALY live in Argentina where she's wearing a blazer and at the end during the high light and finish you can see the spirit in her eyes, when she was hitting them notes and doing melisma like she never did before on the song, no lie, it's the look of God! Like she knew what she was doing and the look she gave was in explain able.
I think this is the same occasion where she jumped in and sang a bit of Pavarotti's La Donna e mobile! This was so great and hilarious at the same time 😉
@@kurtferreira3668 Where is it posted? He said at the beginning of this clip that he was going to react to it but decided on this version from the Rainforest Gala instead.
@@bridgethegapreactions I would say that probably is her best, this one was awsome too. You need to find the full Rainforest event and see their opera segment at the end. Whitney surprises everyone
You should still react to the world music awards from 2004 version of I will always love you as people at this point in time was saying Whitney was over and she couldn't sing anymore and she came out which was a suprise as she wasn't originally supposed to perform and gave a killer performance and reaffirmed she was still a vocal titan
I will Always Love You was written by Dolly Parton in 1974 and it was a #1 hit for her. She re-recorded it for movie “Best Little Whorehouse in Texas” in 1982 and it became #1 again. The song is not about a romantic couple at all. It’s autobiographical for Dolly. She wanted to start a solo career and “leave” business partner Porter Wagoner. She wrote the song, her way of telling him she wanted to go solo but she’d always love him and wished him well. He loved it and cried. She sang it the CMT. You have to ask the song writer for the rights to sing their song. It was Kevin Costner who asked for the rights to have Whitney sing it. Dolly agreed. Dolly wasn’t told it was recorded, she first heard on the radio when she was driving. She loved the version. Movie - Bodyguard - love story
Your comment regarding the lack of high quality recordings is interesting. I once read a comment back in the 80's about Madonna being the most photographed female because Whitney cared less about that side of the business, which she eschewed, in order to sing and perform. Great reaction, as always. If you haven't, check out her live performance of 'One Song'. Again, the quality isn't great but Whitney shines.
The quality is horrendous but Whitney’s voice cuts through it like a hot knife through butter. That performance is in my top 5 of greatest live performances of Whitney. The breath control, the vibrato-it’s so phenomenal. Whitney is the greatest vocalist of all time. Side note Barbara Streisand was supposed to perform for the president at this event but she pulled out and they called in Whitney. Whitney rehearsed it once and they began to rehearse it a second time and she stopped and said she’s fine.
That made me cry too. I miss her so much. Have you heard her sing her song "Just The Lonely Taking Again"? BEAUTIFUL song, not sure why it wasn't a bigger hit. I don't believe there is a live recording. Here's a link.... ruclips.net/video/Je3QDTxI9Gg/видео.html
There’s no doubt that Whitney was one of the greatest singers who ever lived, but I urge you to listen to Dolly Parton‘s original recording of this song. She wrote it for Porter Wagoner, and you can hear every breath of emotion in her voice. 6:46
Great video, I'm surprised i've never seen this before..You really should do a video of Whitney singing in her mom's church (i think) singing "A Quiet Place".. her voice was soo unbelievably angelic.. Also, someone uploaded an old clip of her at an Opera ceremony with Pavarotti and other singers and opera singers there. He called different singer up to randomly sing parts of the opera song, A lot of them were shy, and scared to, so Whitney Houston jumped up, grabbed the mic ,and sang the opera song and blew everyone away. Was a fun and amazing video. If you're interested: Whitney Houston- A Quiet Place ruclips.net/video/-gjBvx-VGOo/видео.html Whitney Houston and Pavarotti ruclips.net/video/Q2mMPz_a4vY/видео.html
It's an incredible performance for sure, but it's actually not my favourite performance of IWALY. There was something, in my opinion, that was truly special about her version of this song from the concert in Chile 1994. There was an incredible ease, a calmness to that performance, that I can't put my finger on. You should check it out! :)
You can definitly slag off the family and the people in charge of her legacy. It's unbelievable how crap they have handled the estate. Many believe in particular it is due to one certain person. Who also did the laughable hologram which was just an insult to Whitney
There is a short clip of the same night where she surprises everyone singing opera with Pavarotti, Sting & Elton John. MUST, MUST SEE!
SHE WAS A SHOWSTOPPER AND THAT WAS THE HIGH LIGHT IF THE NIGHT

Pavarotti's right hand is all you need to know about what he thought about her singing!
What you are experiencing when watching her is the power of God, the anointing is what make a singer like Whitney so touchable, relative, the feeling you feel is the presence of God. I encourage you to know him for yourself so you can fully understand the essence of power God has, he loves you!!!
Her voice takes you on an emotional rollercoaster.
Her voice is stupendous! In a room full of top tier singers, Whitney would stand out as the finest.

The greatest singer EVER period ❤
Hard to argue with this!
JUST THE GREATEST TO EVER DO IT. AMAZING THEN AND NOW
Great review, Whitney voice never cease to amaze me ❤
2nd. Just because no one ever claims that. But I think I’m first. 😂. Btw, great reaction, never seen this performance before.
im probably her biggest fan this song no words and they played this while carrying her casket out we lost the voice the best singer that ever graced the stage ever
I think this is one of the few versions where she stays close to the studio version ❤
This was before the bodyguard tour I believe she had not over used her voice.
Actually this was april 94 she was about do her second half of her tour she already american tour and European tour in 93
This for me is the best IWALY performance period🙏🏾 great reaction. She was my favorite vocalist❤️🎶
My absolute favorite performance of this song ❤❤❤
Thats the Whitney most perple dont know, Thank you so much for sharing❤❤❤
A melhor performance de IWALY. Idêntica ao estúdio
Her estate has so much footage, especially from the bodyguard era and tour. I love this arrangement btw

Yeap
La mejor versión que he escuchado!!! El final es maravilloso!
I still think you should react to the 1994 WMA version because that one you can really hear the power in her voice.
He’s already reacted to that one.

I will do, pretty sure I haven't done it yet! I've done the Grammys one and I think it's in the south africa and Brazil full shows on Patreon
