Thanks for the video, and thanks for info to your 3D printer guy. I'm am currently working on a p-51 mustang (balsa) only thing is the kit has plastic cowling, maybe i will see if i can get mold made so i could make a fiberglass one. Have a good day everybody.
@@thelightersideofrc well I’m certainly looking forward to the summer mind you I’m surprised you have time to fly fabulous builds job family busy busy man but yes definitely loving the channel learnt just so much
Every man needs 3D printed parts on his plane. 😉 Great Video again, cool jet. I like what you are doing, I watch your Videos from the beginning. Greetings from Germany ✌️
Hi Jonathan. Again you have another fine tutorial. To all those builders out there, I started building 3D no wait, 5D ( that’s decades) ago when I was about 12 years old. Thing is, I am not currently building so this prize should go to someone that can appreciate it and apply it to their current project. I am just astounded by the leaps and bounds that this hobby/craft has taken over the last 50 odd years. Experts like Jonathan were not around back in the day for young minds like mine then to learn from so y’all should pay attention. He’s got the “Right Stuff “. Hats off to you JV. TE
Great video! Boy, there are a lot of comments about 3D printed parts. The -pilat- -pielit- pilot flying that Ranger will need a good pair of sunglasses during final approach!
I love jets I am a big 3d flyer but my buddy flies turbines and all the knowledge I get from watching you I'll be flying turbines before no time. Keep killing it and I'm surprised you don't have your own 3d setup
Man, i must say that the 3D kit will be quit handy for my scratch build Turbinator. Just imagine all the kind of 3D flying i could do with that 3D kit. If only i flew 3D. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Totally has Amy! more affordable than aluminum or metal parts. Less time consuming making out of other materials (sometimes). It has really improved the hobby and also builds!
Hi Jonathan. Still loving all of your videos. I should get some 3D glasses to watch with. Keep up the great channel content. Tip time is a riot! Cheers.
I am helping a friend with the Ranger for a sport plane to fly at our local field and to help others experience a turbine flight , the 3D parts would come in handy for it. You do a great service to the RC community with all the videos, from the simple to some of the most complicated . Keep up the great work.
I wish I could figure out how this amazing 3D technology works. I’m a Pilot of both the little planes as well as the big ones. Enjoy your explanation of builds
another great video! 3D printing has become a part of all my modeling needs! I have used some of them parts and I'm very impressed with the quality and how much they really make the overall build complete! thanks for sharing!!!
Awesome video Jon, just what I was hoping for to help me with my eventual Ranger/Sky Candy build... Thanks! Oh, and I must say that 3D Printing has certainly helped immensely with our RC hobby! 🙂

Jonathan thanks for Joe’s email address because I will contact Joe to make Me a 3D part for my wing spar ! I had a crash on my F5J and broke the jointer Spar and need a 3D insert to glue the broken piece back to the main wing tip. 👍🏻 Be Safe Jonathan
@@thelightersideofrc I told Joe in my email about my repair and told him you would flip the Bill 💵 Hehehehehe. Sorry Jonathan I could not do that. Thanks for joe’s info. I need to repair my baby. I miss soaring but it is winter break. Greg
Hi Jonathan, I just placed an order for a bunch of the 3D printed parts from your website. I only recall seeing the larger circular through fitting. The smaller ones would be great!!! If you don't have them, I will reach out to Joe and have him 3D print me some. Love watching and learning from your videos, great stuff!!!
Hey Brant. Yea your order shipped yesterday unfortunately or I would have thrown some in. I do have them but haven’t added them to the site yet. Thanks for watching!😊
Another well done video Jon! This Yellow and Red Ranger was my Turbine Waiver jet. It is perfect for the $$. I like your layout. I used the dual wall tank and added smoke. I put my receiver batteries up front where your lead weights are and I used Lighter Side of RC 3D printed components where I could. One thing you did that I like is the battery box. My ECU battery and Gear battery are behind the tank.
The 3D parts would come in very handy. Have you ever used Buck converters for voltage level needs? There's a wide range of input and output and they are very lightweight with a display.
Jonathan, making the best jet build videos on the internet. My red, white and black Ranger will arrive tomorrow. I will be using a K86 so your blacked out canopy seems like a good Idea to save weight in the front. How did you black it out?
Thank you very much and congrats! Take the cockpit tub out. Black out the canopy with RC Car Polycarbonate paint. This goes on the inside. "Smoke Color"
Jonathan, The color you used doesn't look like smoke gray. Looks to be translucent, perhaps black. I would like to duplicate that color on my red, white & black Ranger. Thanks.@@thelightersideofrc
While I love 3D printers I feel like it’s a bit complex for certain individuals. All I was ever able to 3D print was the default teddy bear and after that I was lost 😂
I have gotten engrossed in your videos, so much so that my wife is waiting for me in the great room to watch a movie and I said 10 more minutes an hour ago. I just love this model and your 3D parts. I have a TF Corsair 60, Super Sportster 60, and a Super Skybolt 60. They all have Super Tigre 61 engines except the Corsair is the 91. I don't know if my next model should be the Freewing Avanti S High Performance 80mm EDF or this Ranger?! Now that is a conundrum. OOPs, gotta go, the movie has started. Great content Jon, thanks!
