I had professional organizers finally come in TODAY 😅 to help. The death piles were the death of me! It’s good to see what your system is, too. We can all learn something from each other. We will finish up phase 1 tomorrow and then on to the crap room!
I’m so jealous! Not like ‘mean’ jealous, I’m happy for you getting it organized with professionals. I’m curious, do they charge hourly, or a flat rate based on the project size?
Thank you Texas Gal! I am fortunate in that I own a small business that requires a small warehouse. I keep the reselling stuff there. But I do have some at home, my new method is to bring it home first, shoot it and take to warehouse. I am also setting up warehouse to shoot larger items like bed covers, etc. Thank you!
We have a room or two maybe 3 for eBay items only. We have an older house with lots of rooms with no kids. I put my items on shelves and Put a Alpha Letter and Number Like A1, A2, etc for each shelf. And then I put that in my Custom Label area with a price of what I paid for it. So when I take offers I know what I paid for it without looking at my excel sheet. I used to use File boxes and just numbered them, but it was to hard at times to look through everything even if I put a item number of the paper I wrapped them in. Which was also expensive to do. My jewelry I have in plastic shoe boxes in plastic bags and I number them and also but that in my custom label. Thanks for showing us your inventory system it always helps to see how other people do theirs...
Hi, I’ve learned a great deal on how to list on EBay from your videos. I’ve had a store for about a year, and last week I found out we’re charged $2 for adding a Subtitle! Not sure if this is pertinent to most folks, but if you haven’t mentioned it before, might be worth bringing up. Kinda upsetting as I was caught unawares. I have started promoting with the 2% minimum you noted a while back, thank you for letting us know that’s something that can be modified!
Love your videos, they are always so helpful. How do you manage your time when trying to list. Do you have like an assembly line process? I'm overwhelmed with all of my unlisted items. Thanks so much!
I’ve lost a few things and had to cancel sales, it’s soooo stressful! And unprofessional! I’ve got my listings pretty close to perfect now. I periodically look through my listings, if I don’t have the item location in the SKU field, I immediately de-list it until I’ve located it. I update the SKU before I allow myself to relist.
For me it would make me nervous to not know exactly where my items are when I go to pull them after they have sold. My biggest fear is that I couldn’t find something and I might waste several hours looking for it. So I have several shelving units in my garage and each shelf is labeled. I have either already boxed items or labeled bins with my items in them. Each box or wrapped item has taped to it a small post it note with the SKU inventory number and a brief title of the item as a back up in case I might accidentally have the incorrect inventory number. I have nearly 1000 listings and I have never lost one yet thank goodness.
