I thought that about several songs!
It's more than just having a guitar playing the Olson chords here, it's in the context of a whole album where half the synth patches sound like they might have come from a late 80s akai sampler. 5am waltz isnt necessarily like boc - maybe a little bit like chromakey dreamcoat - but it's very like all the music boc fans were releasing in the mid to late 2000s. Also Organon kinda sounds like "you could feel the sky". Anyway, as someone who listened obsessively to boc ten years ago and obsessively to men I trust in 2020 this album was basically a fuckin dream
