  • We love store-bought tombstones to fill out a home haunt or decorate for Halloween, but there are times when a larger size prop is needed. If you need to hide fog machines, lights, or photograph a model with a prop, having an extra-large tombstone is very handy. A Styrofoam 4x8 foot sheet can make four extra-large tombstones for under $30. These are free standing when used indoors or can be staked for outdoor use. With a little creative time, custom detailing these sturdy headstones... you will have the perfect graveyard props that will last for years!

    I’ve watched tons of DIY tombstone videos. I’m always looking for new tricks and ideas. Yours was put together so well! Easy to follow and not too long so rewatching will be easy. The results are magnificent!!!

    Nice! Only thing I would change is use the purple insulation foam instead of the styrofoam with the silver paper on it. 👏🏻👌🏻🎃

      Nice! Unfortunately where we are they don't sell that kind, but thanks for passing on the great tip!

    Nice tutorial, I've never seen the hole poking technique. Those are some beautiful tombstones. I've loved you guys since I first seen y'all on the TV show contest years back. Loved the spider display!!!

      Thanks! We are finally back after many years spent raising to kids to a point where they can be a part. Here’s to future home haunting!

    She there an easy way to remove the foil from the foam board?...im having the hardest time. I think maybe I got the wrong one. Mine is not white, it's like a dirty white/cream/ beige color...lol I got it at Home Depot.

      The color doesn't matter. We have blue and white ones where we are. I usually do the foil removable outside as it is very messy. It's not always easy to peel off. You may take a few tiny bits of Styrofoam off here and there trying to get a hold of it. I like to think that just adds to the stone age in the final look. I make the foil side the back of the stone so if there are some tiny bits of foil still on it will be OK.

    Great video. Where do you find your patterns for the tombstones? Do you just print them out?

    Love the decorating but I don't trust styrofoam

      We still have our Styrofoam tombs from 10 years back. If they get a few chips off here and there... it just adds to the age!

    Who’s hot tool is that?

    • @howtohaunt
      @howtohaunt  4 года назад +2

      It is a Styrofoam hot tool that I got from Hobby Lobby. I'll have to get back with you on the brand. Any hot tool will work: wood burning tool, soldering tool, or Styrofoam cutting tools.
