i grew up on chess then i found out bout shogi now that's all its about shogi is such a better game more moves strategy such a better game love playing so much
Anaguma should be forbidden! It is too complicated! Haha! And seriously. I should watch anaguma games more, it teaches defence a lot. (today I realized). Will come back tomorrow to watch it again! Thank you for this long comment Hidetchi! 192 moves (woah) BTW, I think R7d P6e Rx7f P6d is good for sente. N*5d in the end would be really magical! Thanks for showing it!
I think that would just allow white to play R5d, simultaneously escaping the bishop attack and defending the silver, while supporting the pawn on 5f, which could even become dangerous quickly. Since I see no effective way of punishing that move, I would think that would be helping white. Taking the pawn first makes a lot of sense.
great game,at last a game that reminded me of chess..U know in chess u usually dont attack the king directly, but indirectly, making first weaknesses on the opponent, then exploit them and then mate the king or promote a pawn to win..But in many shogi games,i see(or it just seems to me like that)they just attack the king directly and win...This 1 was not like that...See that watanabe attacked with the rook that was be4 on 9b,thats the magic!!!Really great match
Good game.
I'm somewhat proud that, besides the opening, I had read through most of the moves. Thanks for the video.
Thank You Hidetchi, I really missed commentary videos :)

@Zesazerty It's called Hachi One Diver (ハチワンダイバー).
At 5:11, why take the pawn on F5? Why not immediately go ahead with the bishop drop on E7? Seems the obvious choice to me. Something I'm missing?
Then ,Rook 5d and you can’t defend 5g
i didnt feel so good watching because I often use anaguma
