    Fender strings are the best, hands down! Recommended by none other than Eric Clapton.

    I seriously love Quadro Twist. I string it up in one of my stiffer rackets and was a little worried about how it would feel on my arm. After smacking some serves around for a couple of hours, there wasn't any pain. It'd a poly that feels like a multi or a synthetic gut.
    Edit: He also isn't kidding about the break in time. It felt great fresh off of my string machine. I've tried out several other poly strings that took over an hour to break in.

    The Triax is my go to string for my Pro Staff v13 and Clash 98 - best string for racquets with a classic feel.

      What about durability???

    • @estheryee4084

      @@guillermoa.davila6503 I usually play 3-4 times a week, and it lasted approximately 7 months on the Pro Staff before I restrung because the fraying was getting fluffier, but the string still remained unbroken. For some strange reason, it has been more than 8 months and the Triax on the Clash 98 still looks pristine with no sign of fraying although I've done many hours of practising my service with a tennis sensor. However, my cross-section are strung 3 lbs lower than the main-section, so the strings always snap back and are hardly out of alignment. I believe the Triax has better durability compared to the X-One Biphase.

      @@estheryee4084 just a quick question what tension in the clash 98 being such a flexxy racquet would you go a little looser? What tension for your 97 V13..??🎾🎾🎾

    • @estheryee4084
      @estheryee4084 3 года назад

      @@jamesgibson3823 Given the suggestions that the Clash shouldn't be too tightly strung so as not to negate the novel technology, I strung it at 51lbs/mains 48lbs/cross. As for the Pro Staff v13, I strung it at 54lbs/mains 51lbs/cross.

    I really like the Ytex Quadro Twist. I immediately loved the feel. Unfortunately, it also loses its tension very fast, in my opinion. I guess I could try prestretching it, but I've already moved on from it...

    I've played with dozens and dozens of different types of strings over the years. I suppose we all develop liking for a certain feel and performance. I have a string related question however. For the last 15 years I have almost exclusively used gut main strings and poly cross strings. In the last 7 years I would say I have used almost exclusively Wilson's champions choice 16 gauge. I also have the same person stringing my racquet for roughly the same time. Just a couple weeks ago I ordered the 16 gauge champions choice and had my racquets restrung. This time however someone else strung my racquets. This was not my choice but the elderly gentleman who had counted on for years does not string anymore. So with all this in mind I will get to my point and question. The first time I hit the season and actually for quite some time because of injuries the racquets felt way different. They felt rock hard with little feel and not very much power. I've been using the same racquets for the last few years which are the rf-97 autographs. I have them strung to the specifications on the racket which is from memory 59 lb in the main and 56 in the cross. I always remember getting great feel and good power from the setup. This time around they feel completely foreign to me. Is there something that the stringer would or could have done that makes such a huge difference? I'm aware of the different machines pull differently and I don't know what type he has nor do I remember what my old stringer had. I didn't ask my new stringer to do anything different than my old stringer. Anybody have any ideas?

    I think you mentioned that multis work against the Wilson clash and deactivated the flexibility is triax the exception, or did you end up using a different racket with that string.

    Hey Harry - I am having elbow problems. You once mentioned stringing a racquet @ 25 lbs. for a client with elbow issues. What kind of string did you use for that? Did the racquet have 16 or 18 main strings? A denser string pattern would help control the trampoline of such loose strings. Is a racquet strung @ 25 lbs. really playable? Thanks for your help.

    Quadro Twist is a good string. Triax is one of the worst strings I have ever used for durability. I have tried it 4 times both the 16 and 17 gauge did not last more than 1 hour before I broke it. I get about 5-6 hours out of a gut/ploy hybrid. Avoid if you hit with any spin.

    • @villiam7941
      @villiam7941 3 года назад +1

      Many recommend to string it looser, not more than 48. But I think it’s such a powerful racket that i need to string it at 52-55 for multi strings to have better control over the ball. But it all depends on strings.

    • @villiam7941
      @villiam7941 3 года назад +2

      If you need to use poly, I would probably go for 48-52 depending on the poly. But again, it all depends on play style. And many recommend to string it with Luxilon Smart. There’s a video in this channel, look for it. Hope it helps
