- This is Cornell Bhangra representing Cornell Univeristy in Ithaca New York, performing at Worlds Best Bhangra Crew 2014. Cornall competed in a matchup against CMU Bhangra, and were crowned as the winners of this matchup. Cornell Bhangra also defended their title from last year as Worlds Best Bhangra Crew.

This is the best performance I have ever seen in my entire life.
This performance blows me away. I've watched it hundreds of times and listened to it many more. It's not only an energetic performance, but it embodies and personifies the very meaning of Bhangra... to be intoxicated with joy. And it does it perfectly. The players, music, costumes and choreography demonstrate this on multiple levels.
Bhangra was a tradition started by farmers to celebrate the spring harvest and has since morphed into what it is today. I can't think of a better harvest than by combining traditions and gender in an all encompassing spirit of love, especially in an increasingly segregated yet united world.
And this particularly awesome, mixed and mashed up music selection is perfect for bringing down the house.
Having been in the audience at Cornell watching these 'competitions' as well as the audience itself, I realized it wasn't a competition at all. Everybody was intoxicated with Joy. Win. Win. Win.

Cutting stage down to half really affected this performance...sorry but dance on more space.
I'd just like to note that had the whole stage been used, the lighting would not have been adequate on the dancers, which would have affected the performance more negatively. You can see how dark it is on the edges of our stage markers, but we used as much space as we could. The stage was smaller than we had practiced on but we had to accommodate.
